Ratings for Dr. Marian Wulf-Gutierrez
3.0
Did not get large enough sample to test and when results came back inconclusive she said just come back next year, instead of redoing then and there.
Dr Wulf-Gutierrez is a caring and intelligent physician and really listens to her patients.
While she may have experience in medicine, she clearly does not care at all for her patients or even the residents working with her, making snap judgements based on "what just makes sense" before even hearing what you (or even her own staff) try to say. I have recommended people stay away from Georgetown altogether just to make sure she isn't the OB on call when they deliver.
I time of the appt was wrong I wait for 2 houres and no one care about it ! I will never go again to O.B in georgetown Hospital.....
The absolute best. She helped me get through a very difficult pregnancy. I wouldn't have wanted any other doctor in the delivery room.
I love Dr. Wulf! She has great bedside manner and made me feel extremely comfortable.
Dr. Wulf-Gutierrez was great. She explained the procedure I was about to have, risks and possible complications with a lot of detail and yet easy for me to understand. She took time to make sure I was very comfortable with everything she was telling me and I have nothing but confidence in Dr. Wulf-Gtierrez. She was simply fantastic.
I felt judged and dismissed by Dr. Wulf. Very paternalistic style.
Dr. Wulf-Gutierrez does NOT listen to patients. She arrives at a conclusion immediately. If you try to suggest otherwise, she says she has 25 years of medical experience, and makes you feel bad. Horrible listener, non-sympathtic, pushy. When I tried to explain pain I was experiencing, she said it was all in my head. And it was impossible to feel pain there. Then tried to convince me I might be experiencing depression. She actually said "sometimes women confuse pain with insecurity or unhappiness with your life or partner." (Not the case for me) Then she insisted I must be experiencing depression, and suggested counseling. I left the office crying. It is stunning that she takes pain or depression (both real problems) so lightly. Another doctor diagnosed the problem in minutes, and helped me treat it. Front office staff is rude, loud, and ALWAYS running late. Typically 30-45 minutes behind. They yell out names, medications, even symptoms for all to hear. Other obgyns at GWUH are better!
She was very nice and did not seem rushed at all. I was in for a colposcopy and she explained the procedure and made me feel at ease. We had easy conversation and I also felt I could ask her questions. She followed up with my results. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.
