Misdiagnosed I think purposely to line pockets from prescribing medications, lots of arrogance, little knowledge, not through. Pretty much dying because of misdiagnosis and not told about blood work for years that was abnormal....in my opinion in the field of making business not actually being a Dr.

Worst Doctor in the area. Has no clue about what meds to give someone who has several issues. Terrible

Terrible Doctor. One of the worst I have ever seen. Think he is always right and knows nothing about medication. He is too outdated do not go to him at all!

My father had a secretary whose name was Sharon Young. I sincerely hope she would not mind my using her name in this fashion, but to avoid digressing, she was as loyal and hard working a woman as you'll ever meet. She was a truly valuable employee, and my father could not have replaced her if the need had arisen. When he died, after decades of being his assistant, she found employ with a doctor. That doctor's name was Edinger. Jim Edinger in Tully, NY. She worked for him until she died of Parkinson's disease some 20 or so years after my father. Dr. Edinger refused to take me as a patient. I was instructed not to write my social security number on the intake form, because that's how they do things there. I followed those instructions, and was shortly thereafter seen into a small room. An assistant came in and began questioning me. She was very somber. At least once or twice she actually left the room for a minute before coming back in and continuing. Eventually she left, and Dr. Edinger's wife came in. She was very unfriendly and refused to take me as a patient. She was combative, accusative, and generally condescending. I was so upset by the incidence that, mere days before the period where a doctor is "required" to provide emergency care, I called their office and meekly requested an appointment because I was hearing a strange sound as I breathed. It was true, but it was trivial and nothing of note. I walked in smiling, had a lovely conversation with a dairy farmer waiting for his appointment, and then was seen with blatant anger. I was forcing them to do their job, and they were not pleased at all. I was told to get on the scale so they could weigh me. I had lost a great deal of weight since they had last seen me, and I knew very well why -- I told them it wasn't important and to please listen to my lungs as I requested. The Dr's orderly nearly screamed at me as he told me to get out because I was arguing. In his defense, I intended to make a scene that day. I began yelling that they were not listening to their patient or doing their job as New York State's Office of the Professions demands that they do (for assistants the office of authority varies), and refused to leave until they promised not to bill me for their lack of services. "I won't leave until you won't charge me." The Doctor misunderstood my statement and furiously threatened, "oh I'm charging you alright!" He clearly meant something criminal as he mentioned the police in the same breath. I explained that I would not leave until I was guaranteed to not get a bill. He said I would not be billed, and I stated flatly, "then I am trespassing and will leave immediately." I did so as I apologized for the scene to the Dairy Farmer and the other patients. That seemed to very much upset him, because he ended up following me out into the parking lot with a pad yelling at me as he demanded my license plate number. I just went off at that point, shrieking about him throwing out a patient and how unbelievable his lack of sympathy and compassion was or some such. I really just lost it when the man actually followed me out with a pad, as though I had lied to him about my name or something. His orderly followed him out, and I'll never forget the look on that orderly's face as he almost gently outstretched his arm to stop me from getting too close to the doctor as I yelled with tears in my eyes (I was truly that hurt at being thrown out so coldly the first visit). That orderly had no fear whatsoever. He stared at me very calmly, with very emotionless eyes. His eyes made me realize I had lost composure, and I tried to do something nice for the orderly and his obvious understanding that I wasn't the least bit dangerous. So I thanked his orderly for protecting the doctor, said he was a good man very calmly, and drove off. This story is absolutely true. I am truly sorry that Sharon did not find a more loyal, sincere employer. The man is a charlatan. It's hard to make your way in this world. I know that all too well. But I cannot believe that people like Dr. Edinger are trusted with our health. I wouldn't trust the man to be honest with himself let alone his patients. Sharon deserved better. So did I.

I went to Dr. Edinger two month ago I feel he is in it for the money. I had a blood test done he said he would call when the results were in I called a week and a half later and was told they were in but he hadn't looked at them yet and he would call when he did. I waited another week and called again and was told he still hasn't looked at them. It has been 4 weeks since my last phone call and still have heard nothing. I was waiting on the results to get the medication he said I needed. I will not be going there again.

Our family have been patients of Dr. Edinger for about six years. While he has been helpful in many instances, I find that we often feel like a number when we go there. The major concern I have is the freedom with which he and his staff discuss other patients issues out in the open for all to hear. Isn't this a violation of all those HIPPA regulations??? It leaves me wondering how much personal information he and his staff have discussed publicly about our family. He also is free to espouse his political agenda at each visit, which I find neither necessary nor helpful.

Whether the man has great bedside manner or not is of little relevence to me. You go there with a problem and he fixes it As far as some drunken depressed waste of space who needs a prescription to quit smoking then offs themselves. That's a problem with bad breeding not a bad doctor. If you want to blame someone blame yourself. You're family ....perhaps if you were concerned you should have done something about it yourself, instead of placing the blame on a doctor who's job is to diagnose sickness, and use whatever lies he's given to try to cure someon, not try to cure inbreeding and stupidity.

im a long time patient with dr.edinger and up untill the past 6-7 years i have found he goes through a lot of staff members, all but chris, she's great. he's medical staff has caused me problems over and over. i told him on my last visit in feb. 2012, if another mishap occurs im leaving. he explained he's not only a dr. but a businessman. this may be the problem. i mentioned maybe he needs to hire a office manager, but hinted it cost money. im in the process now of finding a back up doctor. im a human, not cattle you run in and out of the barn.

Doctor Edinger and his staff are tops in my book. Fortunately, I am in excellent health, which means I don't get to visit him very often. But on occasion, I have attained injury that required his attention and I am glad to have his expertise available. He is not "curt", he is direct, and doesn't sugar-coat his diagnosis. He doesn't mince words when he speaks and when he does, your attention should be focused. It is this discipline I truly appreciate and expect in my visit. Straight, Focused, and Concise, the world should be more like him. If he recommends a specialist, it's because he wants you to have the best care available. I have always gotten excellent care there and respect Doctor Edinger's practice, but most importantly, I can depend on him, and that is terrific piece of mind just to know he's there.
