Took forever to get an appointment. Very rude doctor with no sympathy and does not listen to patients' concerns.
Not good! For more than ten years, I have seen a few doctors at the same(metrotown) clinic, all of them left after a short while, the only doctor still working there is Dr. Nugyen.... the last doctor I went to was Dr. Foo, she left too, and I got kicked out as well because I was her patient FCOL.... Leter I found out they(doctor Lim and Doctor Foo) had a fight, that's why she left, now I have no family doctor
He always ignored my comments about how I felt. For years he kept threatening me about not giving me my prescriptions. Maybe he is not a bad doctor but he is an evil person
My parents and I started seeing Dr. Lim since I was a child in 1994 and now my husband and son is seeing him too. He is very professional and knowledgeable, and also genuinely cares about my well being. Over the years, he has helped diagnosed my family with minor as well as more serious ailments and have been correct every time. Only downside is he is very busy. I often have to wait weeks to months to get an appointment with him which is understandable because he has so many loyal patients.
Numerous calls and visits to arrange for kidney blood tests with Mobile Lab have never been sent to Mobile Lab. Am currently talking to Life Labs to see if they were ever received at any lab. One time the staff sent them to somewhere on Dewdney Trunk Road -wherever that is.
Dr. Limo correctly diagnosed my husband’s rare condition in an emergency situation years ago. The specialists at St. Paul’s commented on this his proper diagnosis , as many young doctors filed into the emergency room to see my husband as he was brought into emergency by ambulance. More recently, I visited Dr. Lim and he sent me immediately to VGH. He was genuinely concerned for my welfare.. Lim has always been caring and sensitive to all members of my family.
Amazing staff and facility. Dr. Lim takes the time necessary to help and diagnose patients. Wait times are at every clinic and if waiting a bit longer means I get to see such an amazing and detail oriented doctor who is behind on schedule because he doesn't rush his patients out then that's fine by me!
I started seeing Dr. Lim after my child was born. Honestly, I was never impressed from the beginning, but my husband + his family have been going there for years. I never had a family doctor that I saw regularly. Dr. Lim was just OK for me because we only saw him for my child's vaccinations. He came off as a nice and caring doctor AT FIRST. My child was diagnosed with a condition, which is being monitored by a paediatrician now. Most recently, I had to go get an referral extension from Dr. Lim. I left his office very upset! After I expressed that I wanted a second child, he started saying extremely sensitive things. For example: "If you have another child who's disabled, it will make your life more difficult." "Does he (as in my child) make things hard at home for you?" "Are the family accepting of him? How are they taking it?" Those were said to me about my child. My toddler is delayed in speech and has low muscle tone. I wouldn't use "disable" to describe my child. My child points, claps, uses gestures to communicate, and he walks and climbs. Anyways, I left the clinic wanting to cry. I looked for another family doctor immediately.
I was his patient for many years. Well, after waiting for one hour after my appointment time yet again, I asked the ladies at the desk what the problem was. I was told that they're busy today. I told them, no, not today but every day because every time I have ever had an appointment, they've made me wait 45 mins to 1 1/2 hours? The next time I saw Dr. Lim suggested I was harassing his staff. I explained to him my problem and he basically said that if I didn't like it...I could go elsewhere? His office over books always, and he is hardly ever there as he's the Doctor to the stars. Dr. Lim runs a money making machine. I went back to my old doctor.
I was very satisfied with the visit yesterday, I think this dr is very responsible, he took time with me, explained everything I wanted to know. Didn't feel like he rush like any other dr does.
