Ratings for Dr. Leslie Patterson
3.6
I had Dr. Patterson for all 3 of my pregnancies and will always recommend her. She is to the point and maybe that can come off as rude or inconsiderate but when there’s anything of concern she will spend the time to make sure every precaution is taken. I always trusted her wholeheartedly and felt cared for. She called me at home mid-week to check in during my second pregnancy with a breech baby at 37 weeks. She’s the reason I didn’t need a c-section! I took a star away for punctuality because she is often running behind but I know she’s extremely busy and is often late for her first appointment because she in labour and delivery checking on patients or actively delivering a baby. If your monthly/weekly check up is standard and uneventful. She will likely seem like she’s rushing because she doesn’t want to keep anyone waiting longer than needed!
I found Dr. Patterson to be a very professional, very knowledgeable, kind and patient Doctor. She answered all my questions, eased my concerns and was humorous which helped lessen more aniexty. She was very thorough, explaining everything to me in best detail and what her plan of action was. I felt safe under her care. Her staff were very kind, friendly and caring making this experience so much easier than I'd expected. Thanks so much for your knowledge and compassion, it meant the world to Me. I highly recommend Dr. Patteron! 5☆☆☆☆☆
Dr. Patterson was an awful doctor. I had her for my second pregnancy. She was very rude and lacked empathy I had decline the whopping cough vaccine and she told me in her words that if I didnt take my baby would die. After I had delivered she had visited me and continually pressured.me about what birth control inwas gonna take as if was a teenager not a grown adult. When I told her that I declined that she continued to give my husband and I a hard time like common im 35 years old at the time. She was super rude when we declined
I have had Dr. Patterson for 3 pregnancies in 2004, 2008, 2018 and about to be seen by her for my fourth. I only have great things to say about her. She is firm, no non sense…very smart, thorough and caring. She knows what she is doing and doesn’t waste time on foolishness and maybe that’s why some don’t like her, but I appreciate her and so know my babies and I have all been safe in her care and that is why I’ve requested to be followed by her each time I’ve had a pregnancy.
I LOVED her! I had a horrible birth with my first( with a different doctor) and she made sure to follow me through and take every necessary precaution necessary, my second birth was almost like a movie i was so shocked, no tears, no forceps, no c section, everything i wanted in a birth and she even came to visit me before we went home at the hospital, I loved her and if I have another one she will definitely be the doctor I’ll request.
I gave a 5 for staff because her nurses are incredible with huge hearts. Those LPNs and RNs really helped me through everything I’m going to share, even though one no longer works in clinic, she deserves an award for helping their patients. The low stars are directly for Leslie… Leslie followed me through both of my pregnancies & inserted my IUD. My son & I were both crashing during labour, she was on vacation, thank goodness for the on call doctor. She tried to tell me I couldn’t have a VBAC with my second child and I told her the baby was coming… the baby came out fast and furious and the OR was not necessary. There were no staff in the room and she wouldn’t take me seriously, left me and my husband after I gave birth and we were there looking at each other saying “what do we do?” She didn’t get a negative pregnancy test before inserting my IUD after my last birth. I had two miscarriages FOLLOWING appointment with her after the IUD insertion. I told her I miscarried, she said “you can’t prove it” and “if you choose to sue me, good luck” laughed and walked out. She called me and said I have HPV, told me the specific strain, and that I had squamous cell carcinoma. At a later appointment she told me I was “healed” after my colposcopy and she took multiple cancerous samples. She discharged me from clinic and released me to my family doctor. I called her out on that and said “you said I had stage *whatever* squamous cell carcinoma, I can’t just be healed” and she said “how did you know that” and I said “because you told me” and she said “you weren’t supposed to know that” and slammed my chart shut. I asked my family doctor for a second opinion and after 6 months of waiting for a call, Leslie (or her office) called my family doctor and gave her grief for not giving me a pap. My doctor said they were trying to get me into a GYN and they said that won’t happen because I only need a pap. Now, here I am, still having GYN issues, waiting for pap results, praying that my children don’t have to grow up without a mother because of a doctor that doesn’t want to get her hands slapped. Find another OBGYN if you want to trust the one in charge of your babies and your own reproductive organs, Leslie isn’t the one you want…
I requested C section from day one with this woman. Because I have had 2 shatter fractures in my spine L3, L4. and I had to have surgery to get my spine reconstructed. Only to find out 6 months into my pregnacy that she said to us that she wont be giving me a c section because, BEFORE my reconstructive spine surgery I had 2 natural births, and her exact words in front of my baby's father, was that this baby will just FALL OUT!? and continued to tell me I wouldn't find a doctor or nurse to deliver our baby. Until I left her office. before all this I had blood work booked for my baby to see if she was going to have any rare diseases or healthy/unhealthy. I arrived to my apt. to find out she didn't book it an had no paperwork for it, didn't re-book it for me either, she was on vacation when the doctors tried to contact her. She put me DOUBLE max the dosage for "doxylamine/pridoxine" for 1-2 tablet 4 times daily, only to get to the pharmacy for the woman at the desk to ask why I'm on double max the does and that it could harm my baby. WOULD NOT RECOMEND THIS WOMAN TO ANYONE AT ALL. she has completely traumatized me an my boyfriend in this entire process.
This doctor minimized my concerns during my pregnancy, and overlooked all of my symptoms. This lead to life threatening complications, that of caught earlier could have been mitigated. Think twice before going to this doctor.
Dr. Patterson delivered my baby. She was rude and failed to frequently check how dilated I was, as I had to be induced. She attempted to make me push at 4cm dilated and also ignored me when she told me to tell her if I could feel her stitching as I tore. She made my birth quite traumatic and did not give me breaks and threatened to use forceps. She also joked about the forceps afterwords and allowed a group of medical students to enter the room when I was exposed, without my consent. I also had a horrible healing process as the stitches were too tight.
