Always a long wait time and when I wanted to discontinue my psych meds, he told me I had a damaged brain and would be sick the rest of my life. He told he would never give up his Prozac and Zanax........17 years later--no meds, no illness.

My husband goes to Dr Adler and has. Erin for 7 years since his last doctor retired. I started going with my husband for his appointments because I was concerned he was not getting the help he needed - my husband received a bipolar diagnosis 38 years ago and early on had multiple involuntary commitments. Dr Adler is never on time for appointments - minimum wait is 60 minutes, Dr Adler spends most of the appointment talking about himself, the JFK/CIA conspiracy and his other "studies he is trying to get funded." Dr Adler has told us he himself is bipolar. My husband also has some OCD issues- rat packing and has asked for help. Dr Adler has stated he doesn't see any issues with being a "saver" he has mini-storage for a lot of his stuff because his wife won't let him keep everything he wants at home. I have my husband currently looking for a new doctor one who isn't crazy himself and actually wants to help their patients. Dr Adler is a quack and needs his medications adjusted!

In August I scheduled an Appointment with Dr. Adler for my granddaughter for Nov 11th at 1:00 pm. I wrote the appointment on my calandar while I was still on the phone with his staff. When we showed up for the appointment, I was told the appointment was supposed to be 11/13 at 4:00 pm. They changed the appointment without notifying me and lied about when it was scheduled. There seems to be something fishy about any of Dr. Adler's patients who used to see Nurse Mooney.

I have been a patient for 8 yrs.I have never met Dr. Adler as I was told on the first day that Dr. Adler only sees his own established patients. I am not happy about this but my former Psychiatrist retired and I needed a new doctor;Psychiatrists who take new patients are hard to find where I live. I was diagnosed Bipolar over 20 yrs ago.Yesterday,my scheduled appt day,it snowed and the ofc was closed. Today I called at 8:00AM to see when my appt was going to be rescheduled. It is going to be another 3 months before I can get a replacement appt-This is 6 months since I last saw the NP,through no fault of my own. My appts are 15mins med/management only. If you are seriously ill/need any kind of help besides pills,DON'T go to this office. No one there cares how long you have to wait to get an appt nor if you get the refill/meds you need. You will never be able to talk by phone to your NP or anyone else who can help you. They tell you to go to the Hosp ER if you have a serious problem.RUN!!

I saw Dr Adler twice in 2008 - I waited 2 hours the first time and 3 the second (I'm not exaggerating). When I asked if such long wait times were common, the desk staff advised me to consider seeing a PN if I minded waiting. I've since been seeing a PN but am currently looking for a new practice. I don't feel like my PN listens to me, the staff (except for one gal) is incompetent, unhelpful, and uninterested; they talk to patients liks they're scolding children. Calling for a prescription refill is a nightmarish hassle. They don't return calls, offer assistance with anything, and if they receive a refill request from your pharmacy, they ignore it. Ridiculous. Racket. Beware.

Dr. Adler, worst doctor you could ever see. I also suspect he is using. Staff is rude, wait is about 2 - 3 hours. When you do see him, he is seems drugged up on something, incoherent at times, falls asleep while speaking to you, grumpy, and abrasive at best. Also, loses checks if you send them in through bank bill pay.

I an my son currently are patients with this practice. My opinion is that they almost are always running behind as I do beleive that they are overbooked. It seems as to me also that the doctor that I see just would like to refill my prescription and get me out of his office. They had one female doctor there that was awsome but she left to go and practice somewhere else. Thinking seriously about changing places.

I don't specifically see Dr. Adler, but my opinion of the office in general: Find someone else. Takes at least 3 months before you can get your initial appointment. They call you to cancel because your doctor is sick, that's fine. They reschedule your appointment for over a month later. Now what good does that do someone who is having an emotional/mental breakdown? When you ask if there is absolutely nothing sooner they tell YOU to call regularly to see if there are cancellations...that is not my job, that is their job. The therapist I see is wonderful. She is very helpful and listens to what you say and tries to help as much as possible. It is the office staff and how they run things that is awful. If you have to call them for a prescription refill, they say do it within 3 days of running out. Do it sooner. They have called the wrong pharmacy before and it can take them longer then a few days to call it in. And they do not call you back to let you know they did it. Run!!

I've been going here for about a year now for clinical depression and bipolar disorder. These people couldn't care less about their patients. They collect $35 and push some pills on you. Don't bother calling them for assistance outside your monthly visit. You could hang yourself waiting for a return call. They really do not care. My docs advice? "If you are thinking about hurting yourself, go to the hospital." Why would I need them if I am going to the hospital? I guess if you are depressed because you are unhappy with your carpet color choice, they may be okay, but not for anything serious. Surely not for those of us who are hanging by a thread.

I've received excellent service and advise for many years. The NP is much better than several psychiatrists (and talk therapists) that I have used. He's better than Dr. Adler, a good doctor who owns the practice. I've never had to wait (for a scheduled appointment) more than a few minutes. The practice is busy for a reason. The staff is very friendly, although a few were curt several years ago.
