15/10/12 5 3 5 5 Hands down the best doctor I have ever been to! He truly cares about his patients and wants to see them get well. He has done miracles with my arthritis - 6 months ago I couldn't get out of bed and today I am almost completely back to normal! I often have to wait for quite a while before seeing him, but that is mostly because he never seems to turn anyone away. He takes almost all unscheduled drop-ins and this sets him back most days. I don't mind so much because he always takes as much time as necessary with me, and I know he rarely takes lunch or leaves the building until late in the evening. The first time I saw him was at midnight in the hospital! I feel extremely fortunate to have this man as my doctor! Thanks Dr. Kapur!  Respond

18/06/12 5 1 5 5 Very understanding and knowledgable. He has helped me more with my fibromyalgia than any other doctor. He definitely runs behind schedule, but that is because he actually takes the time to listen...definitely not a revolving door, for which I am thankful. Do yourself a favour, pay for a full day of parking so you don't have to stress about it, and plan to be there a few hours. It's a shame Cybil is no longer there, but the current receptionist is perfectly lovely. A visit with Dr. Kapur is worth the wait!

26/04/12 5 4 5 5 I went thru 3 years of getting the runaround... was told it was in my head. Then I got so lucky and I found Dr. Kapur. I feel truly blessed to have found him because i now know what is wrong with me...and it's not in my head. I am now on meds that are helping me and stopping the damage. God Bless Him. 21/02/12 5 2 5 5 Fantastic. Relatively young, relaxed yet thorough and motivated doctor, an excellent choice for those suffering with severe arthritis. Very easy to talk to, in my early 30s he took a genuine interest in my case and asked pertinent questions while providing detailed answers to my precise concerns. Above all, Dr. Kapur recommended appropriate and affordable treatment which greatly improved my quality of life. Following daily medication, the severe pain and inflammation fell 80-90% within weeks. Cybil, the receptionist, was also very calm and pleasant. The only significant downside was the three-hour wait time on a mid-week afternoon, surely attributed to his meticulous investigation of each case. For those with patience, well worth the investment of your time.  Respond

28/11/11 4 3 5 5 I have been a patient of Dr Kapur's for a little over a year. I have found him to be very knowledgeable about my condition and attentive to my concerns. Most importantly, I started feeling much better - as he had predicted - shortly after starting the treatment regimen he suggested. The scheduling of patient appointments is different to say the least but his office staff do try to make sure actual office wait times are not unduly long. I am quite willing to put up with that in exchange for the services of a specialist I trust.  Respond

24/09/11 5 3 5 5 I've been a patient of Dr. Kapur for about 5 years, and I am impressed with all aspects of his treatment. I have total confidence in him; he is always ready to help, has a fantastic bedside manner, and is knowledgeable and thorough. My quality of life has improved tremendously since he began treating me. Although waiting times are very long, the personal service I receive once I do see him makes it all worthwhile. I highly recommend Dr. Kapur as a rheumatologist.  Respond

25/05/11 5 3 5 5 Dr. Kapur and his receptionist Sybil are the nicest, compassionate people. You may have to wait but that is because he takes his time with you! So when it is your turn you are not hurried along. If you are in need of a rhumatologist I would highly recommend Dr. Kapur. Sybil, his receptionist and front line manager always had listened and booked me in when I needed.  Respond

16/05/11 5 4 5 5 Dr. Kapur is a very knowledgable and caring doctor. He is very attentive and never rushes you out of his office. He helped to get my symptoms under control in a short period of time. I would recommend Dr. Kapur to anyone who needs a good rheumatologist.  Respond

15/05/11 5 5 5 5 I am a little saddened to read some of these negative reviews on such a kind, caring and compassionate doctor along with a very caring secretary whom took the time to find me an appointment date as quick as possible when my pain became unbearable. At my first initial appointment Dr.Kapur spent an hour with my husband and I, which may have held back other patients wait time, but gave me back the mobility that I had lost throughout my entire body. He took the time to listen to my symptoms and carefully prescribe medications that have helped me dramatically in a short period of time. Simple tasks that were once so difficult, I can now do myself, and most importantly thanks to Dr.Kapur I can solely take care of my 10 month old daughter again without helping hands from others. My heart goes out to everyone whom suffers from RA pain, time, patience and proper medication does help, consider yourself blessed to have Dr.Kapur as your Rheumatologist.  Respond

11/04/11 2 1 2 2 Wait times are way too long. He runs his office like a business, charges for everything, has a price list on the walls. I just cannot afford this doctor. He suggested injections for my feet that cost $150 each that he said would reduce pain for approx 2 years..did not work. He has not helped me at all...will not go to him again..2 years and poor results.  Respond

17/02/11 4 1 1 1 He is very chatty with his elderly patients but if you are young he rushes you out. He did nothing but push drugs which I'm sure the pharm companies are happy about. Most were either sleeping pills and anti depressants. Neither of which will help you with chronic pain. Overall, he was useless as a physician and he charges an arm and a leg for a note. Not impressed. Was a waste of time to go to. If you want help with your chronic pain, then go to a doctor that actually understands different rheumatic issues and is more than just a guy who memorized information in medical school. Not impressed with him at all. Also, never prompt or on time.

05/10/10 4 1 4 4 Friendly and listens well, though he hasn't helped a whole lot yet. The timeliness is disgraceful, I've heard them make a 1pm appointment and tell the patient to come at 4pm! If you're so caring you need that much time with each patient, make the appointments longer!  Respond

29/09/09 1 1 4 4 Great doctor. I have absolutely no issue with his care/bedside manner but the wait times are stupid. Runs usually 3 hours late. Receptionist informed me that even a first appt booked at 8 am doesnt get seen until 9 am (he doesnt show up until 8:30 am). Ive been there where people have had a 1 pm appt and they were told at 4 to go home and to reschedule for another day (and no, not the next day!). So as an exercise in patience, plan on taking a day off, bring a good book/ipod and possibly some meditation techniques. Oh yeah, NO parking in/around the medical centre so budget for $12.00/day in parking too.  Respond

03/07/09 5 1 5 5 Dr. Kapur is very knowledgeable and caring. Although he is always running behind, he never rushes you and takes time to answer all your questions. After suffering for more than 6 years, he was the only Dr who had help me. I am very grateful.  Respond

24/06/09 5 4 5 5 In the last 3 years I can't even count the number of doctors I've seen for my illness, and not a single one of them can compare to Dr. Kapur. None of the other doctors were as thorough in investigating my condition, and finding the cause. At one point he called me personally- yes, personally- to tell me about the abnormalities in my blood tests, and he frequently checked up on me. Yes his wait times are a little steep, but that's just because he spends lots of time on dealing with each patient, listens to all the symptoms and he doesn't interrupt like some doctors do. He always makes time for his patients- I've been able to schedule emergency appts in less than 24 hours. If you're lucky enough to be his patient, don't let him get away- an incredible find!! Also, his receptionist is very caring, and not snooty like some others, which is a bonus!!  Respond

15/06/09 3 1 3 3 I had to wait two hours to see him. Don't book an appointment if you can't respect the time. I understand he likes to spend a fair amount of time with his patients and doesn't rush but even when I went in to see him, there was unnecessary waiting. Didn't feel like I learned anything new when I saw him. He ordered a whole bunch of blood work and didn't explain what they were. Had me googling instead and freaking myself out. Thanks.  Respond

12/02/09 4 1 1 3 You will learn how smart he is ,his marks in school and how good he is as he will tell you . But will he help you , not really . I went for a long time and he did the same thing every time . Gave me shots, which never ever worked At 40.00 dollars a shot it can get really expensive monthly10 x40= 400.00 and they did nothing for the pain. I would have not minded waiting for him ,if he could have done one thing for the pain.He is charming in a self centred way,he will tell you you are better but you wonder what he is talking about as you feel the same.Maybe he needs to grown up and be a real doctor instead of focusing on his bedside manners to look good. I think he believes this approach works , it does not.If you want to be cheered up go to him if you want the pain gone then try someone else who is serious about helping your pain.  Respond

28/01/09 4 3 5 5 Why complain about wait times? The first appointment I was given with another Rheumatologist was for July, 2009 (referred in September, 2008). I feel blessed every time I see Dr. Kapur even after waiting 2 hours to see him. He spent an hour and a half with me and my husband the 1st time, and if that's why he is behind schedule, it is only a sign that he is taking time with his patients. I want him to take his time with me, which he does, so I can't expect him to rush other patients. Dr. Kapur is thorough and extremely knowledgeable. Since he is young he knows a lot about new medicine and is very open to alternative therapies. He even asked if I would print him an article about something he had not heard about. I still have RA and the pain that comes with it but I know I am well taken care of with Dr. Kapur, and for someone who is suffering, that's a lot of comfort!  Respond

21/07/08 4 2 4 4 Dr. Kapur is a very professional, yet compassionate and knowledgable physician. His youth I think inspires him to take an assertive but informed approach. I found his staff to be extremely warm and friendly and even helpful about the fact that he does tend to run late. He runs late because he gives his patients the time he judges them to need.

11/04/08 4 5 5 5 Dr. Suneil Kapur is very caring doctor, his approach with patient should be modeled by many doctors. His examination tables have pillows to ensure your comfort and he is always pleasant, smiling and attentive and most importantly very polite - no pressure to explain your situation fast and to leave fast. He is very competent and takes time to explain your medical situation and finds alternate solutions before moving to surgery immediately. Doctor Kapur extraordinaire  Respond

08/03/08 2 1 2 2 Very, very late for appointment and staff was unfriendly and indifferent. No consideration for others. Thinks he is better than he really is and likes to judge others to cover up his own inferiorities and insecurities. His behavior was nothing less than in-appropriate, superior and unprofessional. He is personally and professionally repugnant.  See Responses

09/01/08 5 3 5 5 Dr. Kapur is by far the best person I could ever have hoped for or imagined. Yes he was late, but I was too. A specialist is someone who should take all the time necessary to explain a patients condition and treatment options. I for one would be concerned if he simply rushed me through my appointment leaving me breathless and uninformed. He was kind enough not to make me wait months in order to see him., and once there, I did'nt mind waiting at all. I'm a much better person for having met and been treated by such a caring and concerned doctor. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking help and relief!  Respond

20/04/07 1 2 3 He is always running late. Even if you are the first appointment of the morning, he will make you wait 1 hour. I got orthotics, but they were done improperly. No mould or my foot was taken, so they were not the right size. Good thing I had gotten orthotics before and knew these were not done properly. They cost me 550$ and I had to throw them out.  Respond
