11/01/14 1 1 1 1 My experience with Dr Campbell and his team has been a nightmare. His secretaries are incompetent and lost track of my payments. During my surgery I was under local anesthetic (still conscious) and there were nurses walking in and out of the room laughing and talking, making me extremely uncomfortable. After my surgery, I was not given any post-op cleaning instructions by the nurse which resulted in my developing a severe infection and being rushed to the emergency room. The part of my body he worked on is now ruined, which causes me distress every day, and Dr Campbell will not take responsibility for it. There are many plastic surgeons in Alberta, DO NOT waste your money on this one. I only wish I could turn back time and find someone who is thorough and cares about their patients. I truly believe that Dr Campbell's priority is money, and his patient's well-being means nothing to him.  See Responses

12/07/13 4 3 3 5 As what everyone else has said... Dr. Campbell is not very talkative nor personable. He is strictly straight to the point and is very knowledgeable when answering any questions I had. In July 2013 I received rhinoplasty from him. I am an asian female, and had no bridge and my nose was very stubby. He gave me realistic expectations, and said I couldn't expect to have a super defined nose. Upon awakening from surgery, I saw him literally a 10 feet away from me, writing something down at a desk and he did not approach me whatsoever to see how I was doing- which was odd. In the end, I am overall happy with the job he has done. He gave me more of a bridge and made my nostrils more narrow. I would have wanted my nose to be a bit more pointy, but that's probably for another time. I highly recommend Dr. Campbell but warn you that yeah he isn't very talkative so COME WITH QUESTIONS but he did a GREAT JOB on me!

02/12/12 5 4 5 5 The staff were amazing in surgery and post op.Booking surgery was easy and simple. Directions were very clear and confirmation calls were helpful and appreciated.Dr. Campbell is the best surgeon bar none if you want great looking breasts. Please note he does not make small talk (as someone else mentioned); but he knows his stuff and he will make sure they look as natural for your body type as possible.I had 520cc and I'm 5'9" so its perfect for mu body type.He made sure that they would be balanced and no side boobs (that's not a good look). I'm glad he told me that because one of my pics I brought had side boobs. He told me its un natural and the look he would give me would be perfect. I hesitated but heard great things about Dr. Campbell and his work. I'm 2 weeks post op and LOVE LOVE LOVE my new look. He really cares to be sure they will sit the way he intends and took time with my two post op visits.Best gift I gave myself and best doctor to perform the procedure. He's the best!

15/07/12 5 4 3 5 I had a breast lift with areola reduction (already have implants). Met with dr. C twice, felt very comfortable with his knowledge & ability although never got an answer on size he would reduce areolas to so I went to see Dr. Lobay who told me wouldn't do my surgery, would look terrible & I should be happy how I was. Dr. Campbell did my surgery July 11, 2012 & although it has only been a couple days, I am extremely happy with the results. From what I can see the results are better than I expected. Go for my 1 wk post-op on the 18th

27/02/12 5 4 5 5 10 days ago I had my Breast Augumentation with Dr Campbell. My experience has been perfect! I went to my Consultation I came prepared with questions as I had studied what ive wanted for years! I brought pictures etc. Dr C help me decide what was right for my body! He measured me everywhere my breasts, my shoulders, back looked me everywhere and then brought me back to his desk and talked about my options some more! He was so professional and very easy to talk too! On Feb 15th I had my sugery at 7 am! The pre-op from reception to the nurse helping me was so relaxing Dr C took my pictures and discussed with me again what we had talked about before! I woke up from my surgery and the nurses were so kind and patient! With my one week post op Dr C snipped my stitches and told me that everything had gone beautiful and he was so happy! I am in love with my breasts they are a portrait of perfection! I am so thankful and forever greatful :)I got 345cc Cohesive Silicone Round by Natrelle

04/01/12 2 1 1 2 After waiting over an hour past my appointment time I finally got in and was really excited to hear what he had to say in regards to an abdominoplasty. He sped through his speech on the procedure and quickly flipped through the book of pictures and I couldn't even get a word in. He spent about 2 minutes examining me and then before I knew it he was at the door saying I could book at the front. The only question I could get in was about the cost. I left with more questions than answers. He never told me if I was a good candidate and didn't make me feel confident that he would take care of me properly. After that, I can across this website and I'm SO glad that I didn't put a deposit down. Follow your gut, it's usually right!  Respond

21/11/11 5 5 5 5 I should probably wait to write a review but I couldn't. I first seen Dr Campbell last October when i had finished my radiation for stage three breast cancer, to start the reconstructive aspect of my journey. He was nothing but informative, friendly and i left his office with confidence that i had chosen the right surgeon for the job. Last monday I underwent the reconstruction and optional skin sparring right mastectomy with expander. Since it is a very long surgery and being 33 years old was really nervous, he made me feel comfortable and at ease. He is very professional, knows what he is doing and yes he doesnt small talk but he strides for perfection. His team at both his office and at the outpatient in the Miseracordia are nothing but friendly and helpful and really look out for your needs. If you want a good surgeon he is the one to choose.  See Responses

06/05/11 5 4 4 5 Dr. Campbell is to the point, and doesn't small talk. If you have procedure related questions, he'll answer them professionally, but if you want to shoot the breeze and make small talk, he'll likely not seem as friendly. He's there to do his job, and he does it well. I had breast augmentation almost 2 years ago. I waited to review until all my healing was complete. I am extremely happy with the procedure, and him. He is very professional, sometimes late with appointments however. I would 100% recommend him. His staff are caring and the facility is wonderful. I have sent many referalls his way after friends were also impressed with my results.  Respond

07/08/10 3 2 2 2 I went to Dr Campbell to help fix a pocket problem from my first BA. Well he tried to fix it but it did not work. I went to my post op and said one breast was much bigger than the other and one nipple higher and he said it could not be fixed. Well that is funny considering I found a PS in florida and he made them perfect and was mych nicer. Dr Campbell is rude and acts like he knows it all, I swear I know more about BA's then he does. I would never recommend him. Also I think people should know health care covered my surgery and I still was unhappy. Thats speaks volumes.  Respond

29/01/10 5 4 5 5 I diagnosed myself with tuberous breast deformity in Sept 09, at the age of 29. Upon this discovery, I quickly made a consultation appointment with Dr Campbell (up until then, I'd always thought I was just a "freak" so I was elated to know I wasn't the only one with breasts like mine). He confirmed my suspicions. He was extremely professional at every appointment I had with him, and very informative. Keep in mind, I did a lot of research prior to my consultation about the condition and surgical options, so I went in prepared, and with questions. He reassured me that he could help fix my breasts and even emailed me before/ after photos of other patients who underwent the same procedure. I'm now 2 weeks post-op, and although I know there's still a ways to go before I see the final results, I couldn't be happier. I feel like this is a new beginning for me... and I can't thank Dr Campbell and his staff enough. From my experience, he's a knowledgable and talented surgeon.

25/01/10 3 1 2 2 I saw Dr. Campbell on referral from a friend who had a breast reduction. I had a consult for the same surgery. Dr. Campbell came across as a quite yet competent surgeon. Unfortunatly this was not the case. My day surgery ended being over-night as I was admitted for observation do to the fact they gave me too much anaesthetic and I was barely breathing. At first things looked fine but as I healed it was obvious that things weren't right. One side was a cup size larger and I had to go in and have lipo done to correct that. Dr. C assured me that after a year everything would settle and "fall into place". It has been almost 2 years and I am still left with a divet on one side where they lipo'ed too much, I have a huge lump in one breast, no feel in either & I have flaps of skin under both breasts (which I had "fixed" 6 months post-surgery). I am still taping up the underside so these flaps don't fall out of my bra. I'm only 43 yrs old and feel deformed. Thank God I have a wonderful hubby.  Respond

23/06/09 5 3 5 5 I had a breast augmentation done by Dr Campbell. I am very pleased but I also wnet in knowing what I wanted and did a ton of my own research, which I beleive surprised him as most people don't. He started off showing me the saline implants that most people get because of the ower cost but I knew that I did not want a water balloon in my chest. He then showed me the silicone (gummy bear) implants that are what I was looking for and I have NO complaints. He was great and listened to all of my concerns, he always has time to answer any questions I have and his nurses are the very best. I could not have asked for a better outcome. I had initially gone to see Dr Edwards in the same building who didn't even give me the option of a different implant and did not listen to what I wanted, he just kept saying Yup Yup we can do that. I have seen Dr Edwards work and I would have been very upset if I had let him do my implants. Thanks Dr Campbell and staff. To anyone reading this do your HOMEWORK

07/05/09 5 5 5 5 I have a long history with Dr Campbell, I initially saw him when I was still in elementary school to correct my stick out ears. As a rather young child facing surgery, I could not have asked for a better doctor. I was put completely at ease and the results were fantastic. I've since had rhinoplasty to correct the damages from a ski accident/mosh pit. The results were beyond what I had hoped for. Dr Campbell gave me the nose I should have had, absolutely natural- looks just like my mom's. I also have seen Dr. Campbell to have a mole removed from my face, he encouraged me to wait until I was a bit older to reduce the chances of scarring- I did and I'm again very happy with the results. My 20+ years of seeing this dr makes me confident, to say the least, in recommending him as a professional, engaging, capable surgeon.  Respond

07/05/09 1 1 1 1 I received rhinoplasty from Dr. Campbell, the consultation was horrible, he told me what he wanted to do, didnt want to listen to what I wanted. The surgery itself was horrible, when taking out the stitches, he ripped one out and now I have a permanent bump on top of my nose, looks horrible. My nose is crooked, one side is fatter and sticks out and the other side is flat. I looked better before the surgery. If you can see a different plastic surgeon, DO IT! He doesn't care about his screw ups.  Respond

30/01/09 5 3 3 2 I had a breast reduction done back in 1999 by Dr. Campbell. The results were below my expectation. I came for a 6 month appointment and complained about results but he said "it looks fine". I never came back to him again as I thought that how it should be. Recently, I had another procedure done by a different doctor and the difference is huge. The new doctor's work looks natural (you could never say that anything was done). Unfortunately I cannot say it about my breasts. They are different in size and look OK when I stand with my hands down but if I pick my hands up, you can see how uneven the incision is and how unnatural they look (even after 10 years!). I wish I can go back and pick a different Dr. to do my breast reduction.  Respond

02/07/08 5 5 2 2 I had breast reduction. One breast has a large tuck under the lower part of the breast. Dr. C. assumed it would correct itself. 13/05/08 5 4 5 5 I had a breast augmentation in Jan 08. Besides one LONG (2.5 hrs) wait for my consult, the other visits were fairly on time. My initial thought was that he was very "to-the-point/no messing around" and I was a little unsure, but during the same visit he grew on me! He answered all my questions quickly and examined me quickly. The day of surgery, I was laying on the table getting ready for the anesthetic and I had a question, so her personally came to talk with me and put me at ease. He actually ended up putting in a larger implant than I had asked for (by 50 cc's), which I learned when I asked after waking up from surgery. At my checkup he explained that he put in what he thought would work best for my body, and I am VERY happy with his decision! I would even say he could have gone a little bigger. I would recommend Dr.Campbell.  Respond

03/03/08 2 2 1 2 I needed to see him for a wrist fracture. He spent 2 minutes with me, and just brushed off the injury. He put me in a cast for 3 more weeks and that's it. He was told to order a mri but didn't. Terrible Doctor!!!  Respond

15/09/07 1 1 1 2 If my surgery had turned out well, I would be happy to sing the praises of Dr. Campbell. However, I did not have a positive esthetic result from my surgery and I found Dr. Campbell to be defensive and dismissive rather than supportive and encouraging. I particularly resented his insistance that I looked "just fine" at our six-month follow-up visit when I so obviously did not. I have since found another doctor who has recommended a second procedure to correct the "damage" done in the first surgery - but still, I will never look "normal" again. Dr. Campbell may do a good job on breasts and tummy tucks since he seems to perform so many of them but my advice would be DO NOT LET HIM OPERATE ON YOUR FACE!  See Responses

09/08/07 5 4 4 5 I had a breast reduction/lift done three months ago with Dr. Campbell and am very pleased with my results. He was very professional and answered all my questions. I did alot of research on the procedure before hand and knew what to expect and everything did go as expected. Dr. Campbell is very blunt, to the point and a busy doctor so some people may be taken back by his personally. Just remember why your there and that he doesn't have time for a social visit and it take's two to make the surgery a success. Thinking of booking my tummy tuck surgery now.  Respond

20/04/07 3 3 3 I have the highest and lowest opinion about seeing Dr Campbell. Highest being, He was reccommended and known for being a great plastic surgeon, which I think he did great with me. My experience was on going and long. It was patience and understanding that all operations have their complications. I do not think what happened to me a reflection of Dr Campbell. I had gotten an infection two weeks after my breast augmentation which resulted in the one side needing to be removed. I had to go back and forth for updated and appointments ( I live out of town) I was not impressed that on one of those visits, the doctor was not there for my appointment(this gives him a lower score)! He doesn't always seem very personable but he has given me alot of information for my millions of questions. If you look up what your limitations are for post surgery he seems to think that you are able to do more than you should be and I wonder if thats why I got infected.  Respond

31/03/07 1 1 1 In 2005, I had lower lid blepharoplasty (external laser incision) by Dr. C. The results were disappointing. Complications: my stitches were removed too early/roughly & I had “wound separation” (like a deep & very sore paper-cut) under my R eye for 16 mos. post-surgery; still have swelling/fluid retention around my R eye; scars are still clearly visible/deeply ridged (due to excessive tissue damage from the laser); skin doesn't drape naturally - rows of deep creases under each eye (skin was smooth/unlined prior to surgery); too much fat was removed under my R eye, when I laugh it looks sucked-in/hollow & the skin under my L eye bulges out creating a bizarre asymmetrical appearance. Another dr. recommended waiting for the scars to heal/flatten-then try Restylane injections to create a more normal appearance. I wish I would've chosen a dr. who specializes in this particular procedure (not with an external laser incision) Hint: try phoning several dermatologists’ & ask whom they recommend.  Respond

15/03/07 2 4 5 He did a double breast reduction after a lumpectomy for the right breast. He warned me about the resulting numbness, but it was still a shock. When I returned for a check up, he didn't see me, just his nurse did. Eight years later the cancer returned, with a resulting mastectomy of the right breast. When I went for a consult with a different plastic surgeon for possible reconstruction, he told me Dr. Campbell's reduction was beautifully done. Who am I to complain?  Respond
