I love Dr. Ventrudo - he took great care of my mom who died, he was helpful and sympathetic and did whatever we asked for. I go to him and find him polite, kind, understand, skillful and a super practitioner - I've been a nurse and NP for almost 30 years and believe me, I know my doctors. Dr. Ventrudo is the best all-around Family Practice MD I've ever had.

Since he outsourced his office operation to Crystal Run Healthcare, it has really become a nightmare. It is now basically impossible to get an appointment in a reasonable amount of time, also impossible is having someone call you back. I was under the doctors treatment and the medication was not working and they told me sorry we have no available appointments. When I told then I would have to find another Dr they just said "OK"

Unfortunately for Dr Ventrudo, his office staff is does not match his demeanor nor professionalism. I keep trying to like his office due to convenience and Dr Ventrudo's care, but the front desk staff is unfriendly, rude, and completely put-off by the things they need to do for their job. It's hard to stomach even making an appointment to have to deal with the office staff. It's a shame, he's a good doctor and his nurses are just as good.

I waited over 1 1/2 hours past my appt. Only when I asked what was happening was I told they couldn't find my file! I've been there for fasting bloodwork, only done on Saturdays and made to wait over an hour on those occasions also. Lastly, I made an appointment and stupidly forgot the appt.card, they had no record of my appt! I was told to return the following day. I brought the card and received no response to the blunder which I suffered for. Office turnover rate is horrendous! Some staff will stop serving you at check out to chat with a patient who "stopped in to say hello". Please, the wait is long enough!

Best doctor ive seen in 20 years!!! caring, knowledgable, friendly helpful staff, and genuine man.

I am my mother's caretaker who goes to this physician. The office is a mess--no electronic medical records at all. He told my Mom to double a named med (I was in the room), and she wasn't even currently on that medication. He is unorganized, overworked, and his clinical skills leave me questioning his abilities. If you just need primary care stuff (bc pills, routine check-ups for your kids, etc.) family practice is fine, but anyone with complicated medical histories should be seeing an internist. The staff yelled at me because I didn't have a piece of paper that the doc or a PA was supposed to hand to me. It took them 10 minutes to locate it in the bee's nest of files and crap that populates their office. It us apparent that Rockland County is an underserved area, if this type of medical care is considered adequate.
