3/1/13 1 1 1 1 I would highly discourage anyone from experiencing the trauma I dealt with during my pregnancy due to Dr. Tabsh and his antiquated methods of reading ultrasounds. He misdiagnosed my pregnancy, sent me for numerous unnecessary tests, caused me unnecessary stress on myself and my baby and cost me lots of extra money for nothing. He does not communicate well, the wait time to see him is hours (even with an appointment). Luckily, I went for a second opinion and received a proper diagnosis and proper care for my pregnancy elsewhere. I feel it is time for him to retire.

12/25/11 5 2 5 5 Love this doctor. I had a high risk pregnancy and had to see Dr Tabsh regularly 1st and 2nd trimester and then every other week 3rd trimester. talk about a lot of waiting room time! but so worth it. He is brilliant. Who cares if he doesn't make small talk? It is because he is concentrating on the baby and pregnancy people! I would much rather be in excellent hands and skip the small talk. Anyhow, I actually got to know him a little better as I was there so much and contrary to many comments below - he is an absolute teddy bear - the SWEETEST man. He just has a lot of patients and gets the job done then moves on. I had a very healthy baby - all thanks to his great care. I actually did have an amnio done by him - he took great care in trying to make me comfortable. It wasnt so bad (just some light cramping). Love this doctor and would use him again if needed. he is brilliant. love his staff too!

9/11/11 1 1 1 1 I am a high risk pregnancy - I would like to know things - like HOW the baby is doing! He didn't talk to us at all the first visit! We go no pictures and we had no idea if our baby was ok - he wouldn't answer any questions. We had a 3 1/2 hour wait. The second ultrasound we had a 4 1/2 hour wait and he was still very rude. We asked to find out the sex and he wouldn't tell us until my husband became clearly upset. He didn't speak this ultrasound either. I asked for pictures this time and he said why? What a difficult doctor - I hope I don';t ever have to see him again! Other people have given him good reviews and I clearly can't figure out why. He's rude, doesn't speak much. wont answer questions, and has NO redeaming qualities! His nurse is nice but the check in staff are also rude and are NEVER there at the window to ask questions, We had a terrible experience!

9/1/11 1 1 1 5 Unless you are having a planned c-section, I would not go to this doctor. My baby is the best thing that ever happened to me and I'm grateful that he is healthy. However, because of Dr. Tabsh ,his birth was the worst day of my life .He has way too many patients and you may fall through the cracks as I did .I found him to be focused only on the baby 's well being and not mine. You may be injured in the birth process ,as I was, and find that he does not care. He does not tell you what is going on at any stage of the pregnancy or during labor and delivery. I heard that he had a " bad bedside manner" but that does not describe him well. I would describe him as cruel. I know that he is smart and that he has many articles published and many people love him. I went to him because of this and it was one of the worst decisions of my life. I hope that I can help someone out there by letting them know that while he is great for some ,he was devastating for me.  Respond

4/11/11 1 1 1 1 My husband and I would like to have a second child. After my first baby I developed high blood pressure and will soon be 36. I was told that I am a high-risk patient at this point and need to see a specialist. I wanted to see Dr. Tabish so that he could advise me before I get pregnant as to how to have the best pregnancy possible. For example, change blood pressure meds. I was referred by a friend who had Dr. Tabish deliver her baby. I find it really disappointing that I cannot even get an appointment to see him. I was given no explanation as to why. I called to request this and the person I spoke to said she didn't know why, he just ticked a box saying NO. I don't think this is the correct way to deal with potential patients and if this is the kind of attention they give I am happy that I am not a patient. I would have felt very secure to be in Dr. Tabish's care during my pregnancy. I would recommend that people look else where for a doctor since this is how he treats people.

10/28/10 5 4 5 5 Dr. Tabsh is amazing. The night I was admitted to the hospital he was on call for over 32 pregnant patients who were either in labor or were also there on an emergency basis like me. Even though he hadn't really slept in over 24 hours he managed to see me twice to check on me before delivering my baby which saved my life. After saving my life he went on to save another woman with multiples and I heard from staff that he still didn't get a full sleep until approxcimately 48 hours later. That is dedication! I don't want to hear anyone complain that they have to wait to see him for a Dr.'s visit. People need to understant that inbetween Dr. visits he is always on call. Remember a baby comes when it wants to come. There is no set schedule so please have respect and be patient with a man who has dedicated his life to his profession and who truly cares for his patients and their babies. His time is so precious and when it is your time he will be there for you too. God Bless you Dr. Tabsh.

10/21/10 5 3 5 5 This man is the best of the best. Without his skill and expertise, I would not have the two living children I have. To me, he has always been kind and very funny. I know he knows what he is doing so I trusted him when he had nothing to say. That meant there was nothing to worry about. During both pregnancies I had to be hospitalized for over 4 months. I saw him almost every day. He is a true professional and a man with a great heart. The amount of hours he works is amazing and he may come off as rude to some but to those please know this man does great work. Deep down, he is not a bad guy. I consider myself very, very fortunate to have been in my childbearing years while he was still in practice. Other doctors would have thrown up their hands and told me to give up, not Dr. Tabsh. He actually was able to save my last pregnancy after another doctor told me to let nature take its course and let the baby die. He is truly one of a kind. Love him! God bless Dr. Tabsh.  Respond

7/19/10 5 3 5 5 I had a high risk twin pregnancy. Wait was long but so worth the peace of mind. First time during the entire stressful fertility process & during my pregnancy that I was able to relax and know that I was in good hands. He was kind but very business like. As my pregnancy progressed he started showing what a caring person he truly is. He never made me feel like even my smallest concerns were not important and he addressed every question I had patiently with a reassuring knowledge. During my delivery it was discovered that my placenta was fused to my uterus and I began to hemorrhage. He was so calm and efficient I never knew what was actually happening until that evening. Iwas enjoying seeing my babies being delivered while Dr. Tabsh was saving my life. If I had not chosen the right Dr., I might not have been here to raise my girls. If you have a high risk pregnancy and especially if you are having a mulitple birth pregnancy, you cannot afford NOT to see Dr. Tabsh.

4/26/10 3 3 5 5 All I have to say is THANK YOU! You are a baby genius...I do not know how you do it?! There is a reason he is always late....becasue he never sleeps and cares so much about the outcomes of his moms and babies that he does what he has to when he has to to make sure everyone is SAFE. He does not explain a lot, but just ask and keep asking...he is not ignoring you, he is concentrating on your scan and baby...he slept in the Hospital the night of my delivery to make sure that he was there for me?!?! THAT is dedication.  Respond

4/20/10 5 3 5 5 Let's get this out of the way. YES, you will have to at times wait a few hours to see Dr. Tabsh. However, if you want the best OBGYN Dr. watching over you and your unborn child, Dr. Tabsh is your man. As a new parent you are immediately comforted by his knowledge and expertise. Sure he is not the most talkative doctor, however he is always available for you to ask any questions or bring up any concerns you may have. He has many patients which is why he runs late not to mention deliveries, but he is always kind & courteous and gives you all the answers with a warm smile. His staff is knowledgeable & friendly. Please don't be discouraged by the wait time. We have been in to see him every week for the first 5 month of pregnancy and we have only had a really long 4 hour wait once. Average wait 1-2 hours. If you want to be in the best hands possible, you want to be in Dr. Tabsh's hands.

3/12/10 5 3 4 5 Dr. Tabsh is the best. We've seen him for four ultrasounds (including my CVS, which was an uncomfortable procedure that went flawlessly) and really like him. He's not chatty, but he does answer questions, and he has an amazing dry humor. Both my husband and I are very confident in the specialty care Dr. Tabsh has provided.

3/3/10 5 1 5 5 I had to deal with this doctor about 6 years ago and let me tell you if your looking for bedside manner he is not the guy. i remember wait time was long and he is just plain bland but from what i understand he is the best. Now i am on my 4th and last pregnancy and was just told i needed to see him again! i cringed when i heard his name and thought i would look him up and see what everyone else thinks and sounds like we all agree - bad bedside manner - excellent doctor. Most brilliant people are usually like this so i will go with the flow.

4/3/09 1 1 1 1 The worst experience ever. My CVS test was performed at 1 in the morning by inserting a needle into my abdomen. Doctor did not even explain why he chose this method instead of vaginal (he actually had to, according to the paper I signed before the test). I had a severe pain shock during the procedure. Dr. Tabsh was tired and rude. He damaged the baby's sac and all amniotic fluid leaked out (I saw it on the screen, but I did not know that it was amniotic fluid), but he did not say anything, and only 5 days later I found out (doing sonogram at another office) that there was almost no fluid, and I had to be on disability for a month after that to save my pregnancy. Even if he was the last doctor on the earth, I would not go again.

1/21/09 4 1 5 5 Dr. Tabsh delivered my son in November 2007. My pregnancy was high risk with some complications. I was initially put off by his demeanor, but that is how he is - he does not talk much. Every single person I have spoken to (many doctors included) told me he is dedicated and simply the best at what he does. So in the end I overlooked the negative as having the best care was most important to me. And I certainly got the best care possible and I now have a healthy baby boy. The wait times are long, but he is absolutely worth it. When I delivered at 9:00 a.m. in the morning, I thought now it's my turn to make everyone wait. He will be there for you no matter what time.

4/4/08 4 3 3 5 My OB whom I LOOOOOVE referred me to Dr. Tabsh after my AFP came back positive for Downs Syndrome. My doctor told me right away that I would not like his personality at all, but he was the smartest man you could ever meet. He was 100% correct. The other reveiwer was right, if he says nothing you have nothing to worry about. That is exactly what happend to us. He did the ultrasound, packed up and started to walk out. I chose not to have him to the amnio and our baby came out heatlthy. We will go back to Dr. Tabsh for an ultrasound with my current pregnancy, also. I did have to wait, but don't I remember it being very long, he was stuck on the freeway and I was the first patient when he arrived at the office. His staff was also very pleasant.

4/1/08 5 1 5 5 Dr Tabsh is simply the best. People complain about the wait times but the truth is he delivers at 3 LA area hospitals and if someone is in need he hits the FWY and goes to see them. When it was my turn I am glad he came instead of worrying about the people in the waiting room. As for his bedside manner I always found him warm and kind. He has a dry sense of humor so maybe some people don't get it but I adored him. Despite the high risk to my pregnancy I knew I was in the best possible hands. I could trust his opinion absolutely and that was well worth my time and effort to see him.

1/12/08 5 3 5 5 I would not go to anyone else. This man is the most dedicated physician I have ever met. He is not chatty, not a hand-holder, but simply brilliant and genuine. I can only imagine how difficult his work must be, dealing with the highest risk, most difficult pregnancies in Los Angeles and quite frankly, in the world ( I know he travels internationally for some patients). The waiting room stories are true - there is often a long wait, but there was nothing more important to me than seeing the best OB in LA, regardless of wait time. Dr. Tabsh is well worth the wait.

10/24/07 4 2 3 5 If you need a high risk doctor - Dr. Tabsh is the best as far as care goes. You and your baby will be in excellent hands. Many doctors have told me that he had great judgment in terms of what to do when there are complications. His bedside manner is lacking - he does not talk a lot. He is not a hand holder. He is a problem fixer. I have learned that if he doesn't say anything then you are fine and the baby is fine. It's when he says something that you have to worry. For the more day to day questions - his nurses are available by email and phone and are always helpful. His wait time is long - but that can't be avoided - he actually delivers babies too unlike most doctors. If you are high risk I would definately recommend him.

9/27/07 5 2 5 5 Dr. Tabsh is a wonderful Dr. Sure his wait time isnt the best, but guess what, babies dont arrive on set times. Dr. Tabsh delivered my second and third children. So I have been a patient twice.I am honestly tell you that I nor my son would be here today if it were not for him. I had a very serious complication that he caught, and brought in a cardiologist in my case as well. If he hadnt we would not be here, period. I would go back to him again if I were ever to get have another baby. (which I wont do) Nancy is great too!

5/3/07 1 1 3 I had an awful experience with this doctor. Never a wait under 3 hours and the longest (and last wait was 6 hrs. Then he takes about two seconds with you. It's awful. His staff is overworked and rude. I'm sure he's very skilled, but its just painful to get to see him. There are high risk doctors with more efficient offices that make you feel like they care. Unless you need him for a specific procedure that he excels at, I wouldnt recommend him.
