15/09/13 5 5 5 5 When I was 65 years old, nearly five years ago, Dr. Cain performed a 5-way heart bypass on me. I will never forget first meeting him. I suspect he was in his mid-40's at the time. He was extremely confident without an ounce of arrogance. After a 13-hour surgery, I not only obviously survived, but had almost no post-op pain. I saw him shortly before being released, and thanked him profusely. He was very modest and shrugged it off as though it was no big deal. Dr. Cain was prompted to go into cardiac surgery in large part because his dad suffered from heart disease Because my surgery was done on an emergency basis, I had no time to do any research on who would be operating on me. I frequently thank God that Dr. Cain was available at the time. He is an extraordinarily talented and compassionate man.
