Ratings for Dr. Sandra K. Banks
Been going to Dr Banks for years and always endured the office staffs “you’re just a number here” bad attitudes. If you don’t like being barked at and walking on eggshells every time you visit, proceed with caution. Acquaintances that tried her practice based on my early recommendations would ask “how do you put up with that office staff”? I tried to look past it, but cringed every time going in to deal with the front office staff. From visit to visit you never knew who was going to be shaking their head, raising their voice, or sighing at customers that day. The office management clearly either has no oversight or condones the behavior as it continues year after year. No one deserves to be treated this way as a customer, it’s repulsive. Years ago, I believed in Dr Banks as she helped with an occasional illness here and there and always keep me in prescriptions. Then, when the vaccine came out, things changed. Dr Banks pushed the vaccine heavily during my annual checkup even as I had just recovered from Covid and had natural immunity. Two months later, while undergoing treatment for a heart condition, I wrote to ask her for an employer vaccine medical waiver. She denied it. Her response was “I enjoyed treating you all these years and will not sign this form”, like I was dismissed from her practice for even asking. I replied with genuine concerns and two links to early statistics from the CDC adverse events vaccine website showing significant rises in heart issues including myocarditis and pericarditis. I asked if we could hold off until additional peer reviewed research was released showing longer term studies on heart impacts. She did not respond. Was I really dismissed for asking a question? That’s the treatment after many years as a customer? At that point, Dr Banks demonstrated she was not interested in partnering in my care or the value of patient input. It was a reactive attitude of fall in line or get out of line. Well, that was the straw that broke the camel’s back. The always moody front office staff combined with Dr Banks’ unwillingness to guide or educate patients on treatment research, I just can’t do it anymore. I will gladly find a doctor that cares about partnering with patients on their care and a staff that is welcoming. Goodbye to the staff bristling with attitude, shaking heads, signing, and condescending interactions with customers. The search for a new doctor starts now with reading these reviews. I hope sharing my experiences is helpful in your search too.
I love Dr. Banks. She is caring and helpful, and really listens. The main problem I have is with the communication - you can never talk to her assistants, they change frequently, and there's a lot of miscommunication with leaving messages. I had to just make appointments to get simple things done.
I have been a patient for 3 yrs now, I LOVE her bedside manner. She is very personable and takes the time to listen to me. She does not make me feel rushed and she allows me to explain my symptoms in my way and she listens! I love this trait about her. HOWEVER, I only tolerate her staff for her. I hope she reads this and makes an attempt to speak weekly with her staff. I dislike the nurse that preceded her follows her. If a patient didn't know Dr. Banks they wouldn't like her based on her staff and i hate that. The nurses have a tone that is rude and uncaring. I know more about my nurses medical issues that my own. Her nurses make you feel like, get over it other people have worse your whining. Rose takes a bit to long to call patients back as well.
I have been a patient of Dr. Banks for approx 6 years. She is very pro active when caring for her patients. However, at times, I find that the front office staff is a bit unfriendly and could use some personal communication skills when dealing with patients. Also, the nurses may want to concentrate on their "tone" when communicating with their patients, which at times may come across as abrupt.
I have been a patient of Sandra Banks for 10 years. In all that time she has continued to listen to her very pro-active patient and offers suggestions and methods of tratment that is usually on target. Referrals to other speoialists are on target and top notch for my personality and medical issues and for my insurance.
Very disapointed in the waty I was treated by both the doctor and her staff!! I never did receive any helpful information regarding my medical problems. I have since moved on to another doctor whom is already been a great help to me.
Great doctor , listens to you and have you feeling better very fast.. i highly recommend Dr. Banks
Love her! Great doctor. She listens to what you have to say. Gives you suggestions and offers things before saying this is what we are going to do.
Always kind, explains what she's doing and discusses options before deciding on treatments. Warm and friendly. Always checks to see if insurance will cover referrals (sends to best dr. who is in-network) and formularies before prescribing. Office runs very close to scheduled times; if not, they will call you or tell you when you arrive what to expect.
