Sandy MacDonald......I'm not going to beat him up on his Surgeon's skills. I was a mess in a ward full on stupid boys who didn't understand the dangers of motorcycles. Where my problem with the man comes from was his lack of a bed-side-manner. He said things to a boy of seventeen that tried to steal hope. It made me mad. It forced me to push myself, hard. My recovery was faster than it might have been, but it came from a hate for what this Doctor said to me. I thought it was just me who took him for an tool, but I see that isn't true. Thanks .

He has issues, contradicting himself in written medical reports, Shame, at least this Quack is now, not a problem in others lives as he is retired. Now, in his retirement it appears he is concerned with the collection of blood, if only he was more concerned with what was best for others in his care and done his job properly to help others when he had the opportunity to do so!!

My husbands uncle severely broke his leg, he was sent to this doctor to have surgery to repair it. His leg would up curved!!! and never healed properly, he went back a few time and complained, and was about to tell him to just amputate the leg so he would be able to get better, when by a fluke he was sento Dr.Berkshire, who promptly fixed his leg! thank goodness he got to see someone else or he might not have his leg!! SO glad this Quack is retired!!

I came from Ontario 30 years ago and was referred to man. He saw me for 10 minutes and wanted to do surgery on my L wrist, L knee, and back! I called my surgeon in Ontario and he said to run like hell! This man is a quack!

My father had crushed two of his vertibraes in a bike accident....Dr. MacDonald said he didn't need surgery...two days later he had dad up and in a chair...thank heavens he went on vacation and Dr. Dickinson saw a problem...Dad was sent to Saint John and Dr. Abraham told dad he was one lucky man....thank you Dr. MacDonald your ego slowed down my father's recovery and could have possibly made him a quad. My mother wrote a letter complaining about him to College of Physicians and then wrote a letter saying he apologized and in the same letter recanted his apology....Karma...watch out is might get you!

I had a whiplash injury and was referred to Dr. MacDonald by my insurer. Although he was working for the insurer, he seemed to despise insurance companies and spent most of my visit berating me for "wasting" money and making his rates go up. He did nothing to help me manage my injury and actually hurt me by moving and shifting my body in ways that were painful to me. I am glad this man has retired, it did not come soon enough. I actualy sent a letter to the College of Physicians and Surgeons to complain about the one incident I had with this doctor.

I am happy to say this dr has retired but it was not soon enough to save my knee from his scalpel. I had a torn miniscus and he caused more problems than I had to begin with. What I thought was a simple scope turned out to become much more. It has been 2 yrs since this happened and I am no where near back to normal. I'm sure alot of his patients recognize his phrase " you need to stregthen your quads". Again, thank goodness he's retired!
