Ended up being another dud. He seemed nice but wasn't all that helpful in treating my headaches, and didn't seem to want to try much. He also had some boundary problems, attributing my increasing headaches to my mother's death (he knew her from someplace else, so that was projection on his part because maybe he was having a harder time with it than I was). That kind of let me know it was time to move on to somebody more focused on me and more motivated.

Very moody person. Did not listen to my complaints. Couldn't keep a nurse for longer than 2 yrs,it seemed. I don't blame them for leaving. Great photographer but a lousie bedside manner.

dr walker - saw me the first time- on day 22 of a constant- severe rebound migraine cycle-. he had me admitted into the hosp. my neurologist had really given up on me. dr walker got me off all pain med- on a migraine prevent diet -and preventative med. i had been treated for migraines for 40 years - dr walker seem to know more about headaches- than any dr i was treated by at any practice, hospital, or pain clinic- in all those years. his manner was always kind and caring. i was referred to him- by an emer rm nurse- while i was in a severe migraine attack- nurse told me- you really need dr walker- he's -the best-. migraines are now under control - without daily pain med. dr walker has retired - dr norman is my dr now. i see cathy raiser- the nurse prac. - cathy has migraines herself- and is so knowledgeable. i get the best treatment- in the same practice. but i dont know where i would be without - dr jerome walker - he really is -the best

Dr. Walker is extremely knowledgable in the realm of difficult to treat migraines. During my 12 yrs with him, he brought in other specialists to review my file, to make sure no stone was left unturned. He is a stickler for making you be an active part in your treatment by filling out headache diaries and the like, but I never in all those years used his office's form, nor did he insist that I do so. I would recommend him to anyone who is tormented daily by headaches. He is a very caring physician, I have seen quite a few and he is a gem!!

This man is an uncaring, unprofesional, stuck on himself Doctor. He was not interested in my history, observations,or opinions. He treats women as though they can not have a rational thought.During my course of treatment with him,I had drug reactions (very serious),was belittled, and it took his PA at one point to get me in to see him.I would under NO circumstances Recommend him to anyone !

He was very thorough in his evaluation. His treatment plan was very helpful and innovative.

I was disappointed in his ability to listen. I tried to tell him what my symptoms were but he would interrupt every time I started talking. I could not figure out if maybe he is hearing impaired and just didn't realize I was talking, or whether he just did not care to listen. I had been keeping a headache diary for two years prior to my visit to him, but he would not look at it, rather he insisted that I keep a diary on the forms provided by his office and come back in three months. He was not willing to be flexible at all and did not try to listen to my concerns. When I used a medical term, he asked if I was a nurse. No, I have a PhD in Neuroscience--I thought it was pretty **** of him to assume that a woman who knows the word "occipital" is a nurse. I did not visit his office again and do not recommend him.
