The rest of Dr. Witte's staff is pleasant. However Dr. Witte was rude, arrogant and convinced nothing was wrong with me for 4 months because "you're young and healthy". He had zero interest in treating me and threw me into PT without anything more than an X ray. After weeks of PT and pushing myself to get better I kept telling him I felt no better, if anything worse. Again, he blew me off and told me I was fine. Finally after months of excruciating pain, I got a second opinion and it turned out I have 2 herniated discs and I have to have hip surgeries on both of my hips to repair torn and detached labrums. If I would've gotten this medical diagnosis when my accident actually occurred rather than months of PT which probably hurt me more than helped me, I would've been much better off than the predicament I'm in. This man needs to step down and retire...he doesn't seem all that thrilled to be doing his job anyways.

This was my first appointment. When I arrived, I asked what was the wait, so I could decide how to prepare to work in the office (reading only, or pull out more detailed work). The staff said "there were only 2 people ahead" of me. The wait was over an hour wait, which is unacceptable. They spent 5 minutes with me, so if there really were just 2 people, they would have taken 10 minutes at that rate. Also, I'm concerned about the reviews who said the advice they received didn't improve their conditions (and worsened them) but I'll see at my follow up in 3 weeks if it works.

I took my teenage daughter to many ankle specialists before we saw Dr. Witte. He was the only one able to diagnose her (quickly, at that) and I was very impressed. He told her she'd be able to play soccer again 6 weeks after the surgery, though I've since been told that recovery typically takes up to 6 months with intense PT. Through the next year she continued to have problems and we followed up with Dr. Witte 3 more times. The friendly, informative doctor who originally explained things so well kept telling us after a very brief exam that "she's fine." I finally took her to another ankle specialist who said her ankle is grossly unstable and that she will need an ankle reconstruction. So much for "she's fine"... The office staff is obnoxious, unprofessional and unhelpful. They frequently scheduled patients at the wrong office. Phone calls were not returned. Now I've been trying unsuccessfully for 3 weeks to get a copy of my daughter's records for her new surgeon.

Very good doctor. After meeting him once I felt very comfortable with him performing my surgery. Surgery was yesterday and everything went great. He explained what he was going to do and made me feel like I was in good hands. I highly recommend Dr. Witte!

Dr. Witte seems nice enough. Went to him for a bunion on the outside of my foot. He told me it was no big deal. I am a nursery school teacher and am on my feet alot. The surgery went well. He told me I could go back to school when I felt like it. I basically had not much pain at all after the surgery. I went back after l wk and then had to take off for l wk because of severe swelling and pain. I have since talked to two pediatrists and they both told me they would have had me take off at least 3 weeks for the same operation. I told Dr. Witte he should take into consideration what people do for a living before telling them they can go back to work.

The doctor is polite and considerate. I felt comfortable. He served in Vietnam in the US army (from the photographs on wall). That's impressed me. He promised any help I needed in case the documentation he provided did not work out. His front office staff on the other hand were not friendly. The staff that made the appointment was rude. The checkout staff kept talking with each other about personal stuff while I stood there waiting for their attention. Over all I had a better experience with the staff in his other office (germantown, md) than the one in rockville, md.

What Dr. Witte brings to the table is experience. I saw him for a back problem that I had. He gave me a very thorough examination and was able to diagnose the problem quickly. My only recommendation would be for Dr. Witte to be more open at recommending or considering to recommend chiropractic care to people in my situation. He didn't recommend it, but I did follow up with a chiropractor and experienced a HUGE amount of relief. But Dr. Witte is very knowledgable and he was patient to take a lot of time with me, explain the problem I had (including showing my x-rays in lots of detail), and ensuring that I knew what to do to relieve the pain. I would definitely recommend him.

Outstanding doctor who has provided excellent help with several injuries (i.e., ribs, stress fractures in hip, pelvis, several metatarsals); diagnosed hip problem and radiating pain as back pain (L5-S1 degenerated disc, L4 herniated disc, pinched nerve). I have been able to return to competition in marathons and ultramarathons - I'm nearly 57. I highly recommend him to all my friends and running associates. If you do EXACTLY what he tells you, it works. If he says don't run for 17 days, then that means exactly 17 days, no less. Follow his directions and you'll feel great. Dr. Witte's the best in his field from my perspective. I could never have kept running at my age without him and his sound advice and healing hand.

normal person that treats patients respectfully. And he really knows his stuff. He could have charged me a lot more, but didn't.
