He was VERY inappropriate, and the nurse in the room at the time, had to back to us the whole time. I walked away feeling violated.
I went for a tubal ligation.Within a few days of the operation, thestarted seeping blood & such stuff. When back to his office & he look at it, & then told me that had tried something different but won't be doing it anymore because of complaints. And then he said, in an annoyed tone, that he didn't know what I was upset about. Imagine! I am frightened at the thought of ever having to have any procedure by anyone again. And my menses have gotten so bad since then that I actually go into shock nearly every month. I would not want this guy's karma.
Found he is a good doctor as long s you don't question him on any his process
Dr. Lord was there for the birth of my first but didn't make it in time for my 2nd. I thought he was VERY gentle and kind. I had a HORRIBLE first pregnancy and he was very careful with me as I was 23, threw up for the whole pregnancy and had high blood pressure. I wouldn't think twice about referring anyone to Dr. Lord.
Went to Doctor Lord 19 years ago because of infertility. Tried several procedures and had final operation to see if my tubes were blocked. They were and I was told in recovery that he tried to unblocked but was very unlikely that I would every conceive. About a year later I was astounded to find out I was pregnant. After the drugstore pregnancy test was positive I couldn't wait to get back to see Dr. Lord. His reaction was "I don't know who is happier about this me or you!" I had an amazing pregnancy and the best of care. He also made sure he was there to deliver my son. He is a wonderful doctor and I thank him very much for all he has done for me. I went on to have a little girl two years later.
Over 10 yrs ago, I went to Dr Lord with endometriosis, he was kind at first and helpful. When I still had symptoms (following surgery which removed a healthy uterus) he became less patient and scheduled me for surgery again(where 1 ovary was removed). I continued to experience the symptoms & his reaction was much less agreeable but he scheduled surgery for the 3rd time in 2 yrs. At this point I felt that my symptoms were in my head(which was not true). Symptoms continued, but this time I arranged to be referred to a Dr in Halifax who booked my surgery, found endometriosis growing onto many of my organs and shutting off my bowel in 2 places. I have been healthy (not requiring surgery) since that time. I can appreciate that he didn't recognize endometriosis in locations other that my reproductive system, but he could have been kinder when I continued to be sick despite his efforts and consulted with another doctor after the second unsucessful surgery.
I am very pleased with Dr Lord. He has operated on me for endometriosis and always made sure I was well taken care of. He has even called me at home after hours to check up on me.
Dr Lord delivered 3 of my babies...I thought he was great, except the puncuality, but besides that, I would recommend him to people.
Dr. Lord may be a good Dr. to some but he didn't help me in any way. I went to him for a year and all he wanted was to try new 'female' meds. I was refered to another Dr. who found out I had a very large tumor that was causing all my problems and pain. I then had it removed by the other Dr. and I have not had any troubles since. It has been a year now since the surgery. Dr. Lord may be good for babies and some problems but I was not pleased when it came to me and mine.
