14/07/14 5 5 5 5 I absolutely loved Dr. Brown. He was professional and punctual. Never treated me rudely even when my questions were silly. He always listened to what I had to say. I absolutely loved that we were on the same page for a vaginal delivery with my twins. He was very supportive. His staff was always nice and cheerful. I would recommend Dr. Brown to anyone. Thank you Dr. Brown  Respond

13/02/14 5 4 5 5 I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Brown during the labour and delivery of my second child. He was incredible. Unlike my OBGYN, he supported me in my decision to have a VBAC (vaginal birth after caesarean) and was nothing but patient, kind and funny. We ended up needing forceps whereby he was able to get our baby girl out without any issues or marks. He was awesome with my husband, our baby and I :)  Respond

19/06/13 4 3 1 2 I saw this DR through my recent pregnancy and C-Section of my daughter. I was disappointed through the whole pregnancy with his bed side manners, and how he answered my questions and concerns. It always seemed he had one hand on the door and was to rushed to listen to me. He performed my surgery and my incision goes from my bikini line up my stomach. He had no explanation as to why, and why it was over a inch and a half above my previous incision line. Very sloppy work. When he came to visit me the next day in the hospital he stood at the door and talked to me from there. My friend who was also pregnant at the same time was also seeing him, she was high risk- and he was amazing for her. Dissapointed he cant be great with all patients and act like he isn't bored with his work. I sat beside him in the room before the C-Section and he didn't say anything to me, but yawned. I always felt like I was a inconvenience to him.  Respond

12/04/12 5 5 5 5 I had a stage 4 uterin prolapse. Saw the Dr.in Jan 2012 after a 6 mth wait and was operated on in early April. Ver professional, staff friendly and pre-op clinic run well as well as my after care. This is a busy Dr. mending a lot of people and genuinely interested in a better life for women and their problems. He is a good listener and gives good advice. I understand he operates a HRT clinic and am anxious to attend my first appointment there.  Respond

16/10/11 3 5 5 5 I will never give up Dr.Brown EVER!!He has changed my life complely with my Bio-Identical Hormone cream. I had been on Premarin for over 27yrs. Dr Brown had me change, convert & now I am chemical free. I am 60 yrs old & feel like 30! Never have I felt better, more in tune with my body & have a very happy husband! Only problem with the office staff is when I do need to see Dr B. it takes months to make a appointment but once there...minutes later, I am blessed with the dr's advice, assistance in understanding & another Premarin free day goes by. I wish there were more Dr Browns' knowledge out there re: Hormones. We are NOT ACCEPTING CRAP anylonger!  Respond

29/03/11 5 5 5 5 Dr.Brown delivered my daughter when i was 17. Although he wasnt my regular doctor through my pregnancy he was fantastic!! He talked me through the whole delivery and calmed me down alot. When i found out i was pregnant with my second child i wanted dr. Brown and he was just as fantastic through my second pregnancy. Unfortunatly he wasnt on call when i was delivering, he stopped in to visit me and my son the next day, asked how i felt and if i had any questions, and held my son the whole time. Dr. Brown is really an amazing doctor and i recomend him to everyone!  Respond

09/12/10 3 1 1 1 I have never been more upset with a doctor - until I had this guy. I tried going down the path of his bio-identical hormone replacement therapy - only to later find out that he had me so loaded up on the wrong hormones, it was giving me even more problems. While you are sitting there waiting for your appointment (and believe me, you will be waiting), you are given a sheet to indicate how you are feeling that day - it would seem that I was then given hormones to make me feel better in the applicable areas... was he even looking at my actual hormone levels??? Sure I felt better, but it was creating new problems. Then, my final straw was an absolute mis-diagnosis, which my regular family doctor later pointed out to me that he had absolutely no basis to diagnose me with. In fact, she herself had already done her own testing for the same diagnosis TWICE just to ensure it was not the case. Overall, it was a very upsetting experience with Dr. Brown.  Respond

26/06/10 5 5 5 5 What can I say other than this man is a credit to his profession. Dr.Brown was helpful from start to finish during my pregnancy. He answered all my questions and was kind and considerate of mine and my husbands needs in every way.I delivered at the Grey Nuns a fantastic hospital by the way the nursing staff are sweet.I had to be induced because of a medical condition called pre eclampsia. The inducing of labor did not work and I had to have a C-Section. I was quite scared of having this operation but Dr. Brown reassured me it was safe and it was best for myself and my baby. In the end after the C-section I was fine as well as my sweet 7 pound baby. Thank you Dr. Brown you saved my life as well as my babies life. Dr. Brown is by far the best doctor I have ever seen. Dr.Brown is not about the money he does what he does because I believe he loves his job. I wish there was more people like him in this world. I he is a rock super star of OBGYN in Edmonton! He is worth waiting for I did!MH  Respond

15/07/09 2 1 1 1 we are not impressed with the "professionalism" of the dr. we had chosen. There are many reasons why. for starters, in the beggining of the pregnancy, he was never on time, he showed little compassion the 2 times he seen me in a 36 hr period during labour. He neglected to take the time to check the possition of the baby prior to having me push to deliver, even after knowing there had been complications with babies possition earlier in the labour, to top it off he was late by 30 mins. to check on dilivery progess, causing my baby more stress then required. when he returned, he said the baby would arrive by c section and come out looking like a dinosaur. anyone who may choose this hospital to give birth, be aware there will be many trainees poking and prauding at you during labour, even if requested not to. Who really wants a trainee doing their c section stiches. Dr. Brown made my labour and delivery an extremely horrible experience for myself, my baby and my support. thanks.  Respond

30/04/09 5 5 5 5 Seeing Dr. Brown in his Sherwood Park clinic for treatment with Bio Identical Hormones as well as an alternate Thyroid medication has been nothing short of a miracle for me. He is treating my husband as well now for Hormone replacement with great success. If you think he is your average OB/GYN think again ! This is a Doctor who is very knowledgeable on all the new treatments and information available to give us a better quality of life. If you have got Hormone troubles,,see him , you will not regret it for a moment!  Respond

11/03/09 4 1 2 4 Mixed feelings about this Dr. He's a nice enough person but horrible wait times. I've waited as long as 2 hours for my appt, shortest time was 15mins. Dr. Brown didn't deliver my baby but the Dr that was on call was brutal, he was there to catch the baby. Also, there was an intern there so I felt like I was a guinee pig, the nurse had to suggest/remind the Dr's to give the baby to me instead of the intern holding her in awe. What I'm having issues with is now that my daughter has been born my 6 week post-partum appointment has been bumped and rescheduled several times... my current appointment is booked for my 14 weeks PP (but I wouldn't be surprised if I get a call looking to re-book). I feel like a nobody now that I'm not pregnant.  Respond

07/01/08 5 5 5 5 I was pregnant with my first baby and my first ob/gyn was horrible. Half way through my pregnancy my Family Doctor recommended Dr Brown. His office was wonderful I never had to wait longer then 15 mins in the waiting room. Dr Brown was very open and helpful and offered tons of info for a first time mother that I would never of thought to ask. He had wonderful bedside manner. I was 10 days late when he induced me. I was in labour for 12 hours, and pushed for 2 hours when the nurses thought it was time to get Dr. Brown. He came in and told me all my options and their risks. He prepped me for c-section and tried the forceps gently and thought it was to much risk. So we ended up doing c-section. The problem was my baby girl was turned side ways and came out a healthly 8 lb 10 oz baby. So many say horrible things about forceps but I trusted Dr Brown 100% and he knew when to stop the forceps and switch to c-section. Will go back to him for all my babies!  Respond

13/12/07 5 4 5 5 Dr. Brown is a wonderful Dr. He was my childhood GP and now is my OB. He was always able to answer any questions I have and stayed with me for the delivery of our daughter - he is very personable and always made me feel comfortable. We had some complications and when there was a possiblity of an emerg. c-section he took the time to explain everything and make sure I was calm. Luckily we did not need the surgery and our delivery was great. I would highly recommend Dr. Brown to others and will be going back once we are ready for our next child. Thank you Dr. Brown.  Respond

22/10/07 3 4 5 5 I am 29 yrs. old and Dr. Brown has been my dr. for 6 yrs. in that time he has seen me through, two difficult pregnancies(& the circumcision of both boys), a miscarriage, A few surgeries to remove scar tissue, a hysterectomy and the removal of one ovary, each came with their own complications. He has also seen me through years of chronic pelvic pain, and is currently teating me for that reason. He could have thrown in the towel at any point, as it has been very difficult to pinpoint what the cause of the pain has been , but he never once gave up on me. I never once felt rushed with him, he's taken the time to answer every one of my many questions, and dealt with every one of my concerns and he told me what he thought was going on with out sugar-coating anything and with out being abrasive. There are very few drs. now a days who will not give up on you, so when you find one like him, there's no turning back.  Respond

25/09/07 5 5 5 5 I am 4 mos preg and have seen Dr. Brown as my caregiver for my pregnancy (early b/c I'm 41 and higher risk). He explained tests that I was to have thoroughly and didn't rush me. He answered my many questions and after my test called me at home. He came highly recommended to me by my friend who is a nurse. I am very happy with his treatment so far and anticipate the same care as I progress. He rates high in my books so far.  Respond

31/05/07 5 5 5 Dr. Brown is an amazing doctor. I seen him at the sherwood park office. This was my first pregnancy. He was amazing, he would sit down in the room with me and answer all my questions. He would joke around with my husband and talk hockey. He always knew how to make me feel at ease. My baby was breech and he knew how scared I was about getting a csection so he always made sure I left his office calm and secure about it. The day of the csection he was there for my spinal and held my shoulder the whole time telling me to breath and try to relax, which was a huge comfort to me. Then during the csection he was joking around with us. He came to see me everyday in the hospital. He also did my sons circumsion. Again he made me at ease because I was crying before the circumsion. He did a great job, my son wasn't in any pain and healed in 2 days. I will be going back to him for my next baby and I recommend everyone to see him.  Respond

29/05/07 3 2 3 I often had to wait for Dr. Brown, and always felt rushed during our appointments. Too often, he was already halfway out the door and I had to call him back in to ask him a question. He did answer my questions knowledgeably, but I always had the feeling that I was inconveniencing him in some way. Our daughter was 6 days overdue and Dr. Brown recommended induction - 36 hours later (after he had checked me several times) an intern requested an ultrasound and discovered the baby was breech. 2 days of painful labour and induction, which could have been avoided! When I saw him after the c-section, he laughed and joked and seemed to brush it all off. His bedside manner was very abrupt and loud, and he always seemed in a hurry. I was not impressed, and would not go back to him for any future pregnancies.  Respond

18/05/07 5 3 5 I only had this doctor for my labour and delivery. I was normally a patient of another doctor in his practice. He had a good sense of humour which I needed at the time. I felt like he didn't always communicate well with me though. He got up and left the room and told me to keep pushing. I was a little stunned. I ended up with an emergency c-section which didn't go very well. I had to rate his punctuality to post this. So, I gave him a 5 not knowing what he was like in his day to day practice.  Respond

13/04/07 5 5 5 I am with Dr. Brown for my third pregnancy. He is very kind and supportive. He has a relaxed manner that helps put my mind at ease. I trust his judgement. He has been there for both of my other births and despite some complications with my second labor, my baby was born healhy. He is always very willing to answer any questions that I have. He also works out of his Sherwood Park office on Tuesdays which is so convenient and appointments are generally very punctual.  Respond

29/03/07 4 1 3 Dr. Brown came highly recommended but I can't tell you how disappointed I was with him. He always had his hand on the doorknob to leave the room. I always felt rushed. I was overdue and he changed my due date by two days so that he would be on call for my induction. Which was awful because I was already 2 weeks late and due to a serious car accident couldn't walk plus they knew my baby was big and he still refused to induce me earlier.I ended up having an emerg c-section my another dr because baby's heartrate dropped and I got an infection that put my baby in the NICU for 3 days. Which would have been prevented from an early induction. My son was 9lbs 13 oz's. I spent 4 weekdays in the hospital and he only came and saw me once. I found out from a nurse that I had an infection and that's why my son was in the NICU. He couldn't even tell me. I am pregnant again and he is not my dr this time.  Respond

17/03/07 4 5 5 I started seeing Dr Brown when we were first trying (unsuccessfully) to get pregnant. He helped us go through all the steps until we were successful and was wonderful throughout my pregnancy. Unfortunately he wasn't on call the day our daugter was born but came to see us first thing the next morning. He has always been patient, understanding, explanatory and very nice. 13/03/07 5 5 5 Dr. Brown delivered my daughter, and he was the best. As it was my first pregnancy, I was a bit worried and nervous, but Dr. Brown's bedside manner was so good that I ended up being quite at ease. My baby's cord was wrapped around her neck, and was causing her heart rate to fluctuate and so the nurses booked me for a c-section. Dr. Brown came in and worked his magic and I delivered my baby naturally 45 minutes later. I would recommend this doctor to anyone having a baby.  Respond

28/02/07 4 5 5 Dr. Ronald Brown took care of me throughout my pregnancy after my GP was unable to provide care. Dr. Brown is patient, kind, gentle & gave 110% of his time...he doesn't rush you through your appointment. I had a problem with my pregnancy at 27 weeks & Dr. Brown was incredible. He gave me undivided attention and the BEST care. I trusted him unconditionally. My baby came a few weeks early and we had some difficulty with the delivery. Dr. Brown was "THANKFULLY" the Doctor on call and delivered my baby boy in 40 minutes flat. We had a quick decision to make and I left it up to him. He was amazing!
