04/08/13 5 5 2 2 I had Dr. Steele perform an ECV to turn my breech baby. I got the impression that he was not prepared to try hard to make the ECV a success, and he was quick to give up. He seemed more interested in making an impression on his intern. He was power-trippy, and even implied that the ECV failure was my fault because I was tensing my stomach muscles. He seemed to think this was all about him.  Respond

05/08/12 5 4 5 5 Dr. Steele is the kindest and most compassionate doctor I have ever met. He has an excellent bedside manner and always takes the time to explain everything fully. My recovery from surgery was excellent and he visited me every day in hospital which was very comforting. His receptionist Judy is also wonderful. I highly recommend him. Thank you.  Respond

20/04/12 3 3 1 1 Horrible experience from Dr. Steele. Botched my surgery and have had to get several follow up appointments elsewhere. Was cold and irritable when I told him I have anxiety with internal exams, he barked at me when I moved. He didn't even know how to do a vaginal ultra sound or put an IUD in. I have recently been told its been put in wrong which explains why I've been bleeding for 15 days straight. Was also told I might have fetal tissue left behind from the sloppy abortion he gave, which continues to grow in your womb. Don't go to him. I was one of four abortions that day and was treated with no respect and like something he just wanted over with. Ps i wouldn't trust the other ratings they sound fake  Respond

13/11/11 5 2 5 5 Amazing! LOVE him actually. So kind, calm, knowledgeable, patient. Love his receptionist Judy. He was my Dr for both pregnancies altho he didnt actually deliver them. BUT my experience was sooooooo positive. The only thing is his punctuality which honestly is out of his control as he also has obligations to the hospital  Respond

14/02/11 5 4 5 5 Dr Steele is the best doctor I have ever seen. He is funny, compassionate, honest and knowledgable. He manages to balance professionalism and a top notch bedside manner. I would never see another ob-gyb. I just wish more doctors were anything like him. Judy is great too.  Respond

22/10/10 5 1 5 5 My midwives referred me to Dr. Steele for consult on a pre-existing condition, and from the first appointment, he always took as much time as was needed to explain everything and answer all my questions. He was patient with my anxiety and so kind and compassionate. He was very supportive and encouraging of my desire to VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean). I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is an amazing OB.  Respond

03/12/09 3 5 5 5 Dr Steele IS my favorite Dr. He is professional, kind, compassionate, gives good advice, and has a great sense of humor. He called me at home after a surgery!! to check on me and tell me his findings. Hearing his voice tell me I was ok, was a major moment for me. • Judy's roughness is part of the charm of the office, I like her.  Respond

28/07/09 5 3 5 5 I had him 9 years ago when I was pregnant with my first child. He was very kind and understanding. He took the time to explain everything to me and my husband. Although he did not deliver my baby but he came and check on me at the hospital. It was too bad I didn't go back to him the second time because I was looking for a female doctor. From this experience I learned male or female, as long as he or she is good, that's the most important. I referred my sister to him. She just had a set of healthy twins. I highly recommend him. Also his receptionist was very professional.  Respond

18/11/08 5 3 5 5 Pregnancy is such a magical and stressful time. During this period women (and the fathers 2B) need a doctor who is gentle, easy to communicate with, knowledgeable, and keeping with current medical research. Dr. Steele is all of that and more. I am soooooo grateful to him and Judy his secretary. I am so glad I chose him. Just be prepared to WAIT WAIT WAIT. I highly recommend him  Respond

17/10/08 5 4 5 5 Terrific doctor!! Doesn't get better than this! Dr. Steele is not only a great physician but he's also a really nice and caring person. Yes, his office is busy but all OB/Gynecologists' offices are! Actually, his wait times are considerably better than my first OB/gynecologist's. Both my kids were delivered via cesearan sections by Dr. Steele (first time he wasn't my OB but he was on rotation that day). He was so nice and he did such a good job that I switched to see him the second time around. He has terrific bedside manner, he never rushes you, and makes sure that he answers all your questions. His receptionist, Judy is equally awesome! One time, I had to cancel my appt (rather last minute) because of heavy snow. Given Dr. Steele's busy schedule, I knew it was difficult for Judy to reschedule. Not only was she very understanding, she managed to squeeze me in a couple days later when the snow had subsided. Dr. Steele and Judy are great! I can't recommend them enough!  Respond

08/10/08 1 2 1 1 Absolutely horrible doctor! Surgery was not well done, and afterwards, heard about many other people who had unpleasant surgeries with Dr. Steele. If you are looking for a gynecologist, look elsewhere!  Respond

07/06/08 4 3 5 5 I was referred to Dr. Steele by my midwife when we discovered that our baby was breech (about 37 weeks). We decided to try an external version, but prior to that Dr. Steele made several suggestions for traditional and non-traditional natural ways to try to get our baby to turn. In the end, we were unsuccessful in getting our baby to turn, and Dr. Steel performed a ceasarean delivery. Throughout this entire experience, we found Dr. Steele to be outstanding for the following reasons: 1. He is open minded. Even though he is a Dr. trained in Western Medicine, he suggested that we try acupuncture to try to turn our baby because, for some unknown reason, it has a high rate of success. 2. He was conservative and cautious during the external version. 3. He was patient, caring, and took time to answer my questions in as much detail as I required. As a patient, I received wonderful bedside care. He was definitely worth the long waiting room waits. I would highly recommend him.  Respond

03/02/08 3 3 5 5 After 30 years of a specific chronic condition, Dr. Steele provided the most helpful, concise explanation of the problem even drawing pictures, with clear choices for me that are available under the current medical system. By far, the best information I have ever received.

23/01/08 3 4 5 5 Dr. Steele was not my OB/GYN but he delivered my baby as he was on call that day. He had to do an episiotomy which I was against, but he did a good job. Even though I had never met him prior to my delivery, he made me feel comfortable.  Respond

27/03/07 2 5 5 Dr.Steele took great care of me during my high risk pregnancy 11 years ago. horrible wait times in his very busy office, but he always took the time to answer questions and was unfailingly polite and knowledgeable. He wasn't able to deliver my son, but took the time to visit me the same day when he had finished his surgeries.  Respond

18/01/07 4 5 5 Terrific bedside manner and an ability to communicate medical information in a clear, concise and easy to understand format. Cheerful and caring, and takes the time to answer any questions you may have--regardless of the what the question is. Of course this means that sometimes you have to wait--but when it is your turn, you are never rushed and always receive the attention and care you deserve. My pregnancies have not been straightforward, but I have always felt well cared for and safe under his watchful eye. Would recommend him highly.  Respond
