07/08/13 5 3 5 5 Dr.Farooq is a very busy doctor however when he sees you he gives you his undivided attention. I had an urgent scope done in weeks which is rare these days. Not once did he ask me what I did for a living or where I volunteered. I do not think that matters to him, only the patient and their direct needs at the time. Excellent quality service from the doctor and his staff. Thank You  Respond

27/11/12 2 2 2 4 When Dr.Farooq actually did his job he did it very well. However, I have never felt cared less about. He said he would contact me about certian things at certian times which he didn't, and when the office was confronted about it "oh, he's a couole months behind" is what i was told. When he was going to refer me to another surgon, i was asked to look up surgons, and provide phone numbers. If he treats you quickly and well that is great, but be prepared to hound him and his office to get anything done.  Respond

19/08/11 5 5 5 5 Dr. Farooq took out my appendix about 4 years ago. He was very professional. He told me exactly what to expect. After my surgery he would visit me in the hospital to make sure I was ok. And a month ago yesterday I had a cyst taken off my left shoulder by Dr. Farooq. Once again he was professional. He let me know exactly what to expect. He put my mind at ease and I would for sure go back to see him if I need any more surgeries.  Respond

24/08/10 5 4 5 5 Not only is this doctor extremely hard working, competent and interested in his patients, he has a wonderful bedside manner which I was led to believe was inexistant in the profession ! I was very nervous meeting him due to a previous unfortunate experience but he immediately put my fears to rest by his kind and caring attitude. He is a skilled surgeon who takes pride in his profession by being respectful of patients & staff alike. This doctor is the best I've ever known and I recommend him warmly.  Respond

16/02/10 4 4 5 5 Dr. Farooq is a kind and caring doctor. In regards to surgeons, that's a bit of an oxymoron in most cases. I believe he saved my life. He operated and found a 5 cm cancerous tumor and after taking out 25 cm of colon, he still saved me from having to have a bag with only 1/2 inch to spare. Most surgeons would have given me a bag just to make it easier for themselves during the surgery. He gets you in for an appointment and if necessary, into the hospital as soon as possible and yes, there will be a wait in the clinic, (usually about an hour) but it is well worth the wait to have him as your surgeon. Because I was under 50 when diagnosed with cancer, he has already confirmed that he will give my sons a colonoscopy every 5 years after the age of 30. If you are unlucky enough to need a surgeon, at least you can be lucky enough to have him on your side.  Respond

07/08/08 5 3 5 5 Dr. Farooq is a machine. He runs from room to room with a smile on his face. I have never seen a doctor work so hard. A little bit of a wait but excellent fast care once you are in. I had a cyst removed and it healed very quickly and Dr. Farooq and his assistant were very professional and had a great sense of humour. Keep up the great work Dr. Farooq.  Respond

26/02/08 5 4 5 5 Dr.Farooq is one of those doctors who truly cares. He got my daughter in for tests within days .I have never seen a doctor that carried a cell phone and actually uses it to see if he can get you in to another specialist or for tests the next day.He listens to you and makes sure all your questions are answered. My daughter has crohns disease and it was hard to diagnose as her symptoms were all over the place ,but he exhausted every test until the right one showed what was wrong.Very pleasant ,very funny man and if you are waiting in the waiting room past your set appt time ,it is because he is actually listening and examining the person before you.  Respond

01/10/07 5 4 5 5 Dr. Farooq is my favorite doctor now! He saved my life! He sqeezed me in for a colonoscopy and found stage 3 rectal cancer. He scheduled surgery within a month. He did a bowel resection & was able to prevent me needing a colostomy (bag)! He has a great sense of humor, lilke me, & made me feel more at ease & made me extremely confident that I would beat the cancer! He took the time to get to know me a bit personally. He truly cares about his patients! My hospital stay was two weeks. He went away for a bit during that time, but called to check on me & had another very good doctor care for me while he was away. He didn't push the morphine & encouraged me not to use it unless I really needed it. He waited until I was ready to hear each stage of my diagnosis & explained everything. He pushed me to walk after surgery (which was essential)! He pushed the Cross Cancer Institute to get me in asap. I recommend him to anyone. He will do routine check ups on me & my daughter!Awsome!  Respond

He worked very hard to correct my condition. I would trust him above any other surgeon's I've seen.  Respond

07/03/07 3 5 5 He is the fourth doctor I had to get him into that recognized that the huge belly on my father was in fact dangerous ascites that needed to be admitted to hospital right away and not fat. As a health care worker myself, I am horrified by the situation. I also appreciated that he treated my father like a human being, unlike any other of the doctors we saw. I feel for patients that do not have an advocate that understands what is going on. Very, very kind doctor.  Respond

22/02/07 5 5 5 This is a doctor who will take the time to investigate everything. And the greatest thing about him is that if he really doesn't know what is wrong he admits it and doesn't just say there is nothing wrong with you.  Respond
