Any time you see a "practice" that has a rating below 4.0, something is wrong. In this case, everything is wrong with anything attached to the name "Kayal." 3.2 is abysmal. If you decide to proceed, you get what you deserve.....a headache. Mr. Kayal, the owner, doesn't want to confront the truth about his practice and would rather sat things like "we have never had this patient." It's a shame, because some people have told me he actually knows what he is doing. The other reviewers and I cannot say the same for almost everyone else who works in his practice. When the patients appear to be cattle passing through a bad meat packing plant, there are big problems. Where to start... Scheduling department - INEPT. They constantly overbook and don't really care because they want to bring home as much bacon as possible. Extended wait times are very common at any Kayal "Orthopaedic" Center. If you are in a rush to get anywhere, make you have about 2 hours in your day to piss away if Kayal is your first stop. Doctors - I have heard that some know what they are doing. Mine did not. I had an Asian male doctor who kept calling me "bud" and had an appearance and persona that resembled a start-up owner on Shark Tank. I had to request a new doctor because of the "bud" nonsense as well as his inability to figure out what was actually wrong. He was far more concerned with having me go to their rehab 3 days a week. The replacement doctor for Appointment #3 was a very experienced doctor who was a lot better, in the sense that he knew something was wrong with my knee and also knew that treatment alone was not going to fix it. He told me to go to therapy but that surgery would be necessary. Unfortunately, he was only a substitute doctor, and Appointment #4 found me back with Mr. Bud. The guy was incapable of reading an MRI properly. None of the endless treatments were working. He never detected that I needed a knee replacement, which was quickly determined when I showed the MRI to a new practice. My long recovery should have started long ago, if not for the quackery at Kayal's Pizza Parlor. Treatment Center - If you enjoy a rehab facility where the waiting room is super small (One time I had to stand for 20 minutes while waiting and another time I just went into my car and waited for an hour), lead receptionists are about 19 years old and know nothing about the medical profession, and 11 different patients are receiving treatment in a very small room with what seems like dozens of people going in all directions, then Kayal Center is a perfect fit. If you want your privacy completely violated by other patients overhearing your issues because the "rehab" therapists are so loud when they talk and everyone is cramped together like sardines, this is the place to be. Symptoms never once improved in any way, while the "therapists" never remembered my name visit after visit. Those receptionists were sure very eager to get my money though! If there is any practice that should probably be investigated by an insurance company, it is this one. I shudder to think what they have done with their billing department at such a shady operation. They have perfected the "smoke and mirrors image" with their slick digital billboards on the highways and 24/7 commercials while you are waiting for the doctor - reminding you how great they are. It is just lipstick on a pig - when you remove the lipstick, the pig is still there. Facts are facts, and they are all over these reviews. If Kayal and crew knew what was best, they would just shut down this whole operation before someone does a deep dive into everything that appears to be happening here. AVOID LIKE YOUR HEALTH DEPENDS ON IT.

The ENTIRE Kayal group should be avoided at all costs. I have had over a dozen appointments in the last 2 months for shoulder and arm pain. Every single instance of doctor visits, test and PT have had some kind of error in scheduling, confusion (on Kayals behalf, not mine) or just incompetence that has made me utterly furious. Im sure there are nice people that work there, but as a patient with pain, I feel like a very small “number” being shuttled through their fancy factory without any care or accountability on their part. So many scheduling errors and wo much time being ignored and NOTHING from the staff or management about an apology. While an individual doctor may ‘care’ about your health problem, make no mistake - THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AS A CUSTOMER. They seem to be struggling with trying to grow the volume of their business, while making the individual feel ignored and insignificant. Specifically, I was placed with incompetent PT staff - I (wtih no medical training) knew more about their facility than they did and they made me feel like I was in danger of hurting myself. Multiple doctor visits we’re incorrectly scheduled - a doctor would change the entire city of the appointment and I was never notified. Thier respinse was to ask if it was ok for me to rescheedule out another 6 weeks. Another visit the doctor was over an HOUR late and no one EVER came to say ‘sorry’ or can you wait a bit more. They do not care about me as a patient or customer. They DO care about their video loop of the founder listening to irrelevent doctors droning on about some obscure thing that has nothing to do with me on obnoxious video screens all over their practices. Even in my exam room with the doctor in it - we had to speak over the podcast recording!! I wanted to say “Is anyone seeing this - Am I on a hidden camera show??” They do care about their marble and blue glass interior design - that is obvious - office decoration and video screen BS is definitely a priority over customer service. If only they could give me, the patient, 10% of the care they used in promoting themselves, I would not be writing this note. But sadly, they wont even care about this. Hopefully I can help another person with real pain avoud the extreme frustration that I had in dealing with the Kayal group. STAY AWAY FROM KAYAL!!!!

Was there several visits for xrays, MRIs, plus doctor visits with eveyone from Dr. Kayal to the "PAs" to Doctors Ayden/Pandey...alot of "diagnostics" and brief dr. "visits," but nothing done to remedy any problems (have had consistent problems with TKR done in 2019 that showed scar tissue and ongoing inflammation on MRI done by HSS-went to Kayal for another opinion/help, which went nowhere). Also have issues with scoliosis/arthritis in back; other MRIs showed foraminal stenosis; "their's" stated there was no stenosis. Finally made appt. with a back surgeon/pain mgmt. dr. in Paramus that performed "MILD" procedure, which has been of some help in my mobility (finally).

Where do I begin ? Kayal Orthopaedic deserves 10 stars . From the moment I spoke to the staff I knew this was a place that really cared about their patients they were warm and friendly and treated me like family . Lori in the management office has been absolutely amazing she’s kind , sweet , caring and has walked me through every step of the process to finding out where my pain was coming from . I have seen several doctors in their firm and each and everyone one of them is world class! They even have a mri machine in their glen rock office , the staff in that department is also top notch ! Dr Kayal himself has been extremely hands on with my case and I’m so thankful for him and each and every member of his team . Award Winning Team -World Class Care is not just their logo it’s a fact ! Thank You Kayal Orthopaedic !!

I had my left hip replaced by Dr kayal in November of 2019 and bilateral knee replacements 2020. I am in so much pain, I went for a follow-up and Dr Kayal threw his hands in the air and said there's nothing else I can do for you orthopedically. What is that supposed to mean, I am in so much pain 24/7 that I can hardly walk. It is a money factory over there you wait an hour and a half for an appointment and the doctor runs in for 2 minutes, too busy trying to make his money. My surgery was the 6th or 7th surgery of the day at 2:30 in the afternoon. My life is ruined with constant pain and no relief in sight. Beware, he does not need anymore lamborghinis!

The office staff was lovely and my surgeon, affiliated with the group was amazing. The billing is - for the most part - messy and at times seems to be duplicated for optimal, yet incorrect, reimbursement leaving patients to return payment themselves to avoid legal action.

Don't there, just don't go. They were lying about my insurance gave me treatments that I don't need just for getting the money. Very pushing for surgery. I saved my self at the last minute before surgery, still paying the other bills.
