Dr saperstein operated on my both shoulders. Both were failures and he couldn’t care less. I am in severe constant pain with no input from him as to what to do. His post care is less than zero. And his concern is worse. BEWARE

Dr Saperstein performed my knee replacement surgery roughly two months ago. The whole experience far surpassed my expectations - from his knowledge, patiently answering questions. My recovery has been remarkably free of discomfort and faster that I expected. I can't recommend him and his staff highly enough

I had visited with 4 different orthopedic specialists in Boca, Delray & Boynton Beach. I had a problem with tennis elbow that wasn’t going away. Dr Sapperstein was the last of the physicians I had visited and I was totally impressed with his knowledge & ability to properly diagnose my problem. Dr Sapperstein performed the surgery and my elbow is as good as new. I would highly recommend Dr Sapperstein. He is without doubt one of the best orthopedic surgeons.

Dr. Saperstein did my knee replacement, replacing a 10 year old partial knee replacement which had shifted, and the complete knee painful. He called when I returned from the hospital to see how I was doing. He has a personal concern for his patiant's wellbeing. Actually he was reccomended by my 6 year old granddaughter after he treated her broken arm. She said that his touch was very gentle. Children are the best advocates because they are truthful when it comes to saying if it hurt.

Biography

Dr. Saperstein is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine/ Arthroscopic Surgery and Total Joint Replacement Surgery. He is board certified in both orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine. He has practiced in South Florida since 1995 and in Boca Raton since 2002. He is a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard College. He received his M.D. from New York University School of Medicine where he was awarded the Valentine Mott Medal. He performed his surgical internship and orthopedic residency at New York University Medical Center/Bellevue Hospital before completing a sports medicine fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital where he served as a team physician with the New York Jets and New York Rangers. He is currently one of the team orthopaedic surgeons for the Florida Atlantic University (FAU), Lynn University and Spanish River High School athletic programs. Dr. Saperstein's practice has a dual focus. He has over 25 years of experience in helping athletes return to play using surgical and nonoperative methods. Most of these surgeries are arthroscopic/minimally invasive and include advanced techniques for ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, and meniscus repair, shoulder labrum repair and articular cartilage restoration. Having spent much of his professional career caring for injured athletes, Dr. Saperstein is keenly aware of the cumulative effect that a lifetime of sports activity can have on an individual’s joints. Practicing in Boca Raton, where so many retirees have settled, has only heightened this awareness and prompted him to also focus on joint replacement surgery. He employs advanced joint replacement techniques including total hip replacement using the Direct Anterior Approach, robotic total and partial knee replacement and reverse total shoulder arthroplasty. Dr. Saperstein is the current chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Boca Raton Regional Hospital. He is on the faculty of the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at FAU. He has published numerous articles on various orthopedic surgery and sports medicine topics. He has appeared frequently on WPTV News and WFTL Radio to discuss various topics in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine. He is a long time member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
