24/10/12 5 5 5 5 We saw dr Ciszak for our medical exam for Canadian immigration, on the advice of our lawyer. We had a very good experience - we got an appointment for the next day and we were seen immediately when we arrived. The receptionist was very pleasant and competent and the doctor was highly professional. The whole process was extremely smooth and efficient. Recommend highly.  Respond

09/05/12 3 3 1 2 I had a terrible experience with this doctor. I was new to the city at the time and he was the only doctor taking patients I could find. I had two major health concerns, both of which required a referral to a specialist... but he refused to do so. During the following visit, he told me our time was up after 10 minutes, and I mentioned I had one more question. He told me I'd have to go book another appointment with his secretary, and I then asked if he had any more patients to see that afternoon, to which he replied 'no'. When I asked if I could have two minutes with him right then, so I wouldn't need to wait another week, he replied, 'well, no - I don't get paid if I see you twice in one day'. Wow. Totally cold, disinterested and uncaring, would not refer me to specialists, and instead just tried to prescribe me a bunch of pills. After four appointments that got me nowhere it made sense that his waiting room was always empty. This took place about five years ago.  Respond

05/12/10 5 1 1 3 I was very sick once and called his office. His secretary told me to come to see the doctor asap. I hardly could move but I got to his office about 11:30am and was there until 12:30 when he came out of his office to go for lunch. I told him in the hallway that I am very sick. He said: "Wait until I come back from lunch!" By the time he saw me it was after 2:30pm which by the way did nothing! It was the last time I went to his office!!  Respond

27/05/08 3 3 1 1 My wife and I had the worst experience with this Doctor. My wife had a false-positive triple marker for our first baby and his opening line was: having a baby with down syndrome is not a bad thing! then he was quite amused as to why my wife started crying and he said bluntly: you don't have to cry it's not like I'm telling you that you have a dead baby!! TOTAL LACK OF RESPECT AND TACT!!! and on top of everything he did the triple market test WITHOUT telling us. At least in Canada it is optional and he did it without our approval!!!Please avoid this unprofessional Dr.  See Responses

22/11/07 5 5 5 5 Dr. C. was my doctor for many years until I moved out of town last year. You only appreciate what you have until you've lost it. I have not been able to find a doctor as good as Dr. Ciszak was. In the age of walk-in clinics and McDonalds style medicine he is probably one of the dying breed of true family doctors who work to the highest professional standard. Thank you for all you have done and I'm sorry I lost you!  Respond
