I have seen dr, Winner for years. He is a great dr. if you need a perscription- or many! A family member of mine almost died under his care, he would not run tests that they asked for- did not take them seriously. I advised to get a second opinion, which they did and the multiple health conditions that were ignored under dr. Winner's care was really scary. Heart problems, possibly cancer? they were prescribed meds for high blood pressure, which he never monitired and ending up giving them LOW blood pressure to the point of fainting! They are a insulin dependant- did not monitor this either. It's complicated and got very frustrating. I will say that he will spend the time with you to talk, is pleasant and friendly, appt's on time, no wait and his old recepotionists were wonderful ladies. He is a good person but does not appear to help some patients that have pretty serious medical conditions that have obviously required care and attention. I like him but see another dr. for real issues.

I have been going to Dr. Winner for almost 20 years! I do not want to be without him, so I told him he's not allowed to retire!

Can not believe he is still a doctor. I think he is about the worse doctor out there. Of course we still have old fashioned family members that think he is fabulous. The fact he almost killed them does not mean anything. Lets not test you even thought you are overweight and are having trouble breathing. Just eat in moderation. No I wont sign the form so you can go to the healthy heart program so you can be supervised while working out, just go to a local gym and work out there because I do not want you doing anything strenuous, hello the other program has nurses and trainers there and do not let your heart rate get above a certain number. He also told me that sometimes you can not get pregnant and you just dont know why, how can you say that to someone who has been trying for 2 years, like hello send me to a specialist

i am happy to be legally accountable for what i write here. i am autistic and above all an autistic values honesty. i this regard dr. jonathan winner has performed outstandingly well. he has assured me in tone and action that he will not help me and has extremely well in this regard. his first diagnosis of my condition was schizophrenia. my real diagnosis is fibromyalgia and autism. i went to him today trying to be referred to an autism specialist. he was evasive claiming that he had little ability to find an autism specialist in vancouver b.c. and that i should get a list of qualified practitioners to him. like somehow i had a better access to resources than him. while this is surely not the case, it is probably true that i can use my limited resources better than him owing to the fact that he appears listless, uneducated, lazy and quite frankly (in my opinion) appears to be hiding something - that thing he is hiding (in my opinion only) appears to be off label drug use - for himself.

I really like the man but I think he may be suffering a degree of burnout. The whole sort of "let's wait and see" attitude he has adopted over the last few years caused me a whole lot of pain...one quick swab would have avoided my suffering. I still cannot fully understand why it was not done. Time for a new doctor for me.

He has been my dr. for 12 years since moving from Alberta; always available; always pleasant; never had to wait long and attentive to concerns. Have sent others to him and will continue to do so.

Dr. Winner has been my physician for about 8 yrs since I moved into the area. My new wife who had yet to meet Dr. Winner was suffering with extreme menstrual pain. He accepted her right away, he diagnosed that it was the IUD which was the cause and removed it immediately. He was very professional, made her feel comfortable and not embarrassed. She had a followup where he was very caring with how she was doing.

Dr. Winner has been our family doctor for many years and has proven himself to be a very competant physician. He is in tune with our needs and is very compassionate. He has very good connections with other excellent doctors when the situation requires something out of his area of expertise. I would highly recommend him as a family doctor, and have no qualms about seeing him on any matter.

I like Dr. Winner.. he always takes time to find out how I am and listens to my concerns. He diagnosed my husband 2 yrs ago with prostate cancer and he is doing fine. Even though my husband doesn't see him on a regular basis,he's a man after all, ard to get them to go see a doctor, he always asks how he is. He memory is not failing. He is a mild mannered kind man. I hope he never retires too !

Poor interpersonal skills. Doesn't realize the scope of his actions or how they will affect you. Not trustworthy. Makes weak excuses. His memory is poor. He is not accountable. Go to a real doctor for treatment. Get a second opinion. Don't be afraid to complain to the College of Physician's. I wish I had, but he was so apologetic. I cannot say this strong enough, he does not care or care to see, how his decisions impact you or your family. Makes excuses. He can be baffling at times. He asks me a question, I answer it, and he says why are you bringing it up now? Always ask him questions to make sure he has your story or complaint right because I believe for the most part, the comprehension is not there.
