Worst doctor in Charlotte!! I had two surgeries on my shoulder and the second surgery was due to his neglect!! Now, I gave to have third surgery because he never fixed my shoulder after two surgies!! Worst doctor and I will never recommend him to anumyone!! If I could, I would sue him!!

My husband had to have a growth cut out by his ankle bone and Dr. Oweida performed the surgery. Not only did the site where the surgery took place get horribly infected, but the stitches came undone leaving a giant gaping hole where the surgery had taken place. The scar that was left behind is quite large and quite unsightly and bothers my husband every day to look at it. My husband has to have a second surgery done on the same site, to remove pieces of the mass that were not completely removed from the first surgery. Definitely would not use this orthopedic surgeon ever again!

Dr Oweida has been our ortho for years. Very caring, concerned, interested in your problem and has the ability to fix or will refer if it's beyond him. Not many docs will do that!

Dr. Oweida is honestly the best orthopedic doctor out there. He is so genuine, caring, and knowledgeable and goes above and beyond the required care. I can't tell you how pleased I am with his work and genuine care. I would recommend him to anyone. GREAT doctor!

Five years ago, Dr. Oweida replaced my ACL. I woke up to find my knee and shin bandaged. He drilled two holes in my tibia. I've since seen seven other orthopedic doctors; none have ever used this procedure. The tibia became infected, I was treated and released. The tibia broke since the holes didn't have bone growth. Owedia wanted to insert rod, another doc advised against since the infection was very nasty and would spread. Infection treated by another doctor. Two years later, bone graft to replace infected bone. (MRSA infection) The tibia broke a year later. IM rod inserted. Still have extreme pain in knee and shin. Filed report against him to NC Medical Review Board; he received a 'letter of concern.' Unable to sue since he is used by lawyers as an expert witness by all Charlotte/Rock Hill mal. practice attorneys. I found many other patients having similar medical complaints. Nickname: ****.

extremely talented orthopaedic surgeon. I had a shattered ankle, Dr. Oweida operated on it, and an ER doctor who later saw an x-ray of my ankle, due to an ordinary sprain a few years later, could not tell it had ever been broken. Dr. Oweida is also very thorough and caring. He had me come back (for free) weekly and then bi-weekly for a solid year after the surgery to make sure everything was still ok.
