I went to a specialist who recommended seeing the walk in dr for a work up. Once Dr Nothstein walked in he didn’t introduce himself or wear any kind of name tag. He began telling me he looked over my history taken by the nurse and that he concluded he knew what was going on. He discredited the cardiologist I went to and said they tend to “forget medicine” by being specialists. Dr Nothsteins diagnosis he chose by the way is one you get to by exclusion. Meaning you get there by being assessed for a hypothesized Dx. His justification was he’s done t for 30 years. He didn’t entertain any questions I had with integrity or sound information and told me my very unusual symptoms are still normal for some people so it’s not a problem. He wanted to prescribe meds for the dx of exclusion without properly getting to that dx the correct way. As a note, it’s the weekend and a walk in clinic. He ran out and into the next room in a hurry. I feel my care was compromised for him wanting to get out of the building at a reasonable hour.

The single most important test I had was never reviewed by this doctor. If you participate with Intermountain Medical Group in Dallas, PA - PLEASE request a copy of all office visits, lab tests, and any type of scan or other diagnostic test ordered. Get you copy and review it. If something does not seem right highlight it and ask your doctor about it. Just because your doctor says “you are healthy” don’t believe it, check for yourself. I lost one and a half years in a cancer diagnosis because he did not read the radiologist report. PLEASE, be your own advocate.

Dr. Nothstein has been my Dr. for over 20 yrs. He's our family Dr. who knows each & every one of us, and our idiosyncrasies. He has led and followed me, us through some tough times & decisions & is intelligent enough to know when to LISTEN to the patient, when they know themselves. His personality is real & it shows, as he cares about each one of his patients. He is a A PLUS to the medical community & the patients he attends to. His staff is an extension of him in the caring & concern they show anytime they are needed. I am grateful that He is Our family Dr. & would not give him up for the world.
