Dr. Burns and his staff are a tremendous blessing to the Scranton area. They are always there for me when I need them. Dr. Burns is extremely smart, thorough, kind, and caring. I can always count on Dr.Burns to help me make the right decisions about my care.

I've been a patient of Dr. Burns for over 10 years and he delivered 2 of my 3 children. He is by far the best Doctor I have ever had and I suggest him to all my friends and family. He also performed a procedure for me and was excellent. The best!

I saw Dr. Burns for the first time for an annual PAP, in addition, to discuss my concerns with TTC. Let's be honest - Dr. Burns is HONEST - to the point. No sugar-coating - clinical, NOT critical. I'd rather HE, or ANY doctor, be straightforward, especially when it comes to my health and/or the health of an unborn child. All of the above being said, if you're unable to accept, or at least TRY to accept the TRUTH, perhaps he's not the doctor for you. Don't expect to be coddled or "breastfed" (puns unintended) - but DO expect sincerity - most importantly, knowledge and expertise.

Dr. Burns is the best!!! He explains everything and never fails to ask if I have any questions . When I went into labor he was NOT on call but he still came in and delivered my daughter !I am beyond thankful he was able to deliver her. He is very smart but so down to earth and comforting . I never met a Dr. That I enjoyed going to like I do him!! And if you have to wait a bit at his office, it is probably because he went out of his way that day to deliver for one of his patients! His office staff is great, such sweet ladies!! Overall picking Dr. Burns was one of the best choices I have made!!! Love him!!!!

Who can say they LIKE going to their OB/GYN? Me. People think that is the strangest statement but now my mother goes there and my aunts. My two daughters always said they would NEVER go to a male OB/GYN last year they walked into his office and said they would never see anyone else! He listens and takes so much time with each and every pt - my oldest daughter was SO nervous about A LOT and he wanted to spend MORE time with her but his pts were already backed up (and being a RN I completely understand a backed up waiting room- not good!) He wants to take as much time as each pt needs- working with him in the hospital you can see his kindness and compassion with all his pts! He is wonderful doctor and a terrific surgeon- cannot say enough great things about him!

I am a student of Dr. Burns and have seen him interact with hundreds of patients. I have never seen him rush a patient without attending to all of their concerns. He is extraordinarily attentative and attuned with his patients, often relating with them beyond the physician role. I would hope to be as passionate and caring as he is for his patients (which almost everyone seems to adore him). I would recommend him to anyone without hesitation.

You should be so lucky to see Doctor Burns. I don't know what I would have done without him !

I absolutely love Dr. Burns and have recommended him to all my friends who are pregnant or are thinking about it. In my time as his patient I've had to have 2 procedures. One was an emergency and he came right to the hospital, held me while I cried and performed my surgery while he was supposed to be on vacation. Another was a scheduled surgery, and again he was the most supportive person there. He sat in recovery with me and held my hand both times. Both times as soon as my eyes opened it was his face I looked for. He is the most compassionate caring doctor I have ever been to. I look forward to my visits with him and wouldn't have wanted anyone else to deliver my son.

Dr Burns has been my OB/GYN for many years. I feel like he takes a personal interest in my health, doesn't just rush out of an appointment, listens to what is going on in my life, and provides detailed information and opinions. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, he would quickly get on the phone to talk to me whenever I had a question or wanted to run a decision by him.

I have been going to Dr. Burns for several years now and have always liked him. He listens, lets you ask questions and always answers them in a direct and simplified way. He's laid back but very professional. If you have to call him through the answering service he is always very prompt about getting right back to you and I have heard that he arranges his vacations around deliveries. I would definitely recommend him to friends and family.
