Ratings for Dr. Lisa H. Toffey
3.1
Sorry to say these reviews are accurate. Dr Toffey used to be very caring and attentive. The past few years she has become dismissive and inaccurate in her diagnoses. It's sad but we will be looking for a new doctor.
When I went to see her for extreme back pain, she dismissed me with a problem with my throat?? I was surprised and questioned her response, but it was obvious he was blowing me off. Two months later, after a simple X-ray I was diagnosed with lesions on my spine and compression fractures, due to multiple myeloma. She is incompetent and cost me vital time. People are right, her staff is rude.
I have been going to Dr. Toffey foe many years but in the last few years I have become very dissatisfied. During my last physical, which was at 8:15 in the morning, she kept me waiting for 45 minutes. How could she be that far behind so early in the morning? When she finally came into the exam room she literally spent 8 minutes with me. I mentioned two issues that I was concerned about and she didn't even respond. She just kept going down her little check list on her laptop.. I will not be going back..
It was my first and last time ever going to Dr Toffey's office. They rush you and don't pay any attention to their patients what so ever. I went to the office saying I felt like I was going to pass out and they did not care at all. They show no interest at all in their patients ! Its just a big business so they can get money out of you ! If you want a doctor who cares or shows interest in your health then do not go to her. They do not seem concerned about patients health at all.
I have been going to Dr. Toffey for the past 20 years. She is the most caring, knowledgable, and thorough doctor I've seen. She listens to you and doesn't rush you out the door. She has phoned me at home to follow up or check on me, even on weekends. She is an outstanding doctor.
Dr. Toffey seems like a very nice person but I had not had a physical in over 10 years, I am not someone who gets sick often yet I was experiencing extreme fatigue and intense joint pain... when I brought it up she told me to exercise more and take more time with my kids which was unusual because I already make both of those things a priority in my life and had not mentioned any issues with stress etc...I left upset and frustrated with my health..I have since done further testing elsewhere to find out I had low levels of estrogen which were causing all my symptoms!I now feel great again and I just feel sad to think of anyone who might not persist for the sake of their health..
I have been a paitent of Dr. Tofey's for years. One time I was so ill, she wanted me in the ER ASAP. She was so concerned that she drove me over in a wheelchair by herself and stayed till the ER started the tests I needed. I haven't been a great patient, yet she still wories about me enough to do that for me. She gets the gold star in my book.
Staff is indifferent and unresponsive. I had some tests about which I was extremely concerned, so I phoned every few days to see if results were in. Staff made me feel sorry I had bothered them and would not give me a reaistic idea of when I could expect results. Very bureaucratic mentality. Doctor looked at her watch during exam, made me feel rushed, even though I had waited a half hour past the appointment time to see her. Doctor and staff do not seem particularly concerned about the patient's well-being. Medical advice was reasonable and straightforward, but lack of urgency made it a frustrating experience.
I have been seeing Dr. Toffey's partner, Emily Jeffries for yrs, but she was on vacation, so I had the good fortune of seeing Lisa Toffey on 2 visits. She was patient and caring and made me feel comfortable. She suggested some other good specialist and I really liked her.Her office is too busy and not very friendly, except for Fay at the front desk, the nurses seem rushed and miserable, but I highly recommend both Dr. Jeffries and Dr. Toffey. They are excellent doctors and caring women.
Very friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoy seeing her because she helps me to relax and yet I feel she knows what she is doing and that I am in good care.
