Seemed like she didn’t want to be there and or help me with my thyroid issues.

Dr Skaff is very knowledgeable, very intelligent however her office staff is "USELESS"!!!! Wait time to see Dr Skaff is on avg 2 hours, office staff will not send a fax, call your perscription provider to approve your perscriptions or anything else you may need them to do, you will have to baby sit them to get them do anything for you. You will show up for your apt after traveling 2hrs one way to get there and they tell you you have no apt, it's total ciaos. They never answer the phone and when they do they put you on hold for at least 15 min. Dr Skaff and her office staff have no relationship with each other, they actually avoid each other and there have been times I've walked in and one of them is crying...real tears! I'm in the process of looking for a new Endocrinologist because i'm so tired of evry time Dr Skaff changes my medication I have to throw a fit or be rude to the office staff to get them to call my prescription provider to verbally approve the medication. I'm leaving now because one office staff hung up on me last Monday, the personal which i've been asking for 6 days to make this call for me hung up on me ...this is the last straw. I do not deserve this disrespect, i'm the patient, they are paid to take care of me!

Dr. Skaff is great doctor. She truly is. But her staff is nothing but a bunch of idiots! They run on like West Coast time or something. I could have an appointment at 12:00 and not see her until 3:00. They always botch which pharmacy to send my medicine and the LabCorp lady is a needle thrower! She has bruised my arms black on many occasions. I'm going to get a referral to another endocrinologist.

About 15 years ago she was wonderful. The wait time was still at least 2 hours but she was able to shrink my goiter and would adjust my medicine also based on symptoms. Currently? Horrible! She is a completely different person. My bloodwork has been abnormal for a year and she just continued saying repeat it. Finally, I asked for a referral to see why my labs were abnormal. She promised she would but then went on a long rant about how my birth control pill probably caused all the abnormal labs. I haven't been on the pill for 20 years! I don't know if she was reading somebody elses chart or what. Last December her office staff cancelled my appointment due to her going out of the country. When I saw her again, they accused me of missing my appointment and said she would not see me until I paid her $40.00 for missed appointment. I didn't miss and my insurance said not to pay her. My cholesterol is sky high and I haven't been on Synthroid since then, therefore, I have gained about 20 pounds and feel horrible. They finally scheduled an appointment for last week but at the last minute, called and left a message that it was cancelled with no reason. Not to mention the fact I never received my referrals. I was told in January that once I paid her the 40.00 I owed her I would get my referrals and office staff hung up on me. LOTS of patents are having very bad experiences with her and her old office staff say they wouldn't send their dog to her.

Office staff totally unless. Never follow through on promises or information. Doctor seems adequate but with staff and 3-4 hour wait time in office, she is just not worth it.
