Ratings for Dr. Anne E. Barnard
3.5
Dr Ann barnard, does take the time to talk with her patience and listen to them. Now, as far as your health solution she will use out sourced doctors and other physicians to get you the help you need, sometimes you just want it resolved right then if possible. However, she is a good doctor who appears to care at the moment needed.
Dr Barnard is the most competent and caring physician that I've ever seen as a patient. She listens, clearly reviews previous notes, and or has a remarkable memory. She ask questions and then gives appropriate options for care. My entire family and much of my extended family uses her as their primary doctor, and I regularly recommend her to others. Awesome Physician!!
Dr. Barnard is friendly enough, but when it comes to actual treatment of medical conditions, she's a total disappointment. A good doctor tries to see your issue through instead of passing you off to someone else. After seeing her only once for a skin infection, she informed me that a lab culture may result in an inconclusive diagnosis (due to my previous treatment with a topical antibiotic). When the culture was, indeed, inconclusive -- she referred me to a dermatologist instead of trying to treat it. What a waste of time.
Dr. Barnard listens well and offers options for treatment. She is excellent in her demeanor and respectful treatment.
Dr. Barnard has been my physician since 2001. I highly recommend her and would trust her with any one of my friends or family's health. She's upbeat and happy and a breath of fresh air!
Poor communication and follow-up . . . not a patient advocate.
Dr. Barnard is personable and generally attentive. She is always more than willing to have tests performed. However, in terms of detailed investigation and analysis of symptoms, she may be lacking. I have had to recommend a specific test based on my research of my own symptoms. She complied, and it turned out that my diagnosis was correct.
Dr Barnard is very personable, takes an interest in you as an individual and always has time to talk.
I needed to see a specialist for a condition I had developed under her care. She kept giving me names of MDs in a completely different specialty field - I had to look up the specialty in the phone book and refer myself (and I've been seeing this specialist for years, so I legitimately needed the specialist). She started off great but, toward the end of seeing her, she appeared to not even read my chart before she walked through the door. I had to keep coming to see her every few weeks with my condition (because she would tell me to schedule another appointment if I weren't better) and she actually walked in after I had been there several times and asked me if I had ever had any of these symptoms before. She is a very nice person, but you will wait forever to see her and she started lacking an attention to detail.
Excellent! You will wait for her, but she's terrific. Cheerful and helpful. She's awesome.
