22/05/14 4 5 5 5 I had my left hip replaced in January 2014 and cannot express how happy I am with the recovery and results. Dr. Rasmussen and the medical team at Castle Hospital are the best. I am a 62 year old overweight woman. Who isn't overweight when you have a painful hip. The recovery was so short the walker barely got used. My girlfriends were amazed at how fast I was getting around. The new left hip has me wanting to get the other one replaced too. The drop in inflammation all over my body is amazing now that the bad hip is gone. I am so glad I found Dr. Linda Rasmussen!

18/04/14 4 4 5 5 Dr. Rasmussen and her staff were so professional. The staff and nurses at Castle were so caring and kind. I am so pleased with the surgery and with the results that I got. I thought I would have to live getting shots in my knees (which was not giving me relief) till I needed a total replacement, but when a friend told me about Dr. Rasmussen, I called and went to get a consultation. After Dr. Rasmussen explained the procedure and the results I could expect, I immediately made my appointment for the makoplasty. I do not regret my decision.

17/04/14 5 5 5 5 I had my first knee surgery last at the age of 52. I thought I had to live with the pain of bone on bone for at least another 10 yrs, since my first doctor told me I was too young. Dr. Rasmussen assured me that if I needed a replacement, age would not matter. In addition to a partial knee replacement (MAKOplasty), I just recently had a full replacement on my other knee. If I hadn't gone to see Dr. Rasmussen, I would not have know that my left knee was bad as well. She is professional, and made me feel confident that I would be able to walk like a normal person again. Both of my surgeries were at Castle Hospital. The care that I received from them was excellent. If you ever need a knee replacement I highly recommend Dr. Rasmussen!

13/04/14 5 5 5 5 I'm 89 years old and have been needing a new knee for the past 30 years. Dr. Rasmussen was professional and compassionate and I couldn't be happier with my new knee! It's been 5 months now and I can do things I haven't been able to do in years. I wish I had this done a long time ago. I was concerned going through with this at my age but it was absolutely the best decision I made! I feel like I've gained years of my life back

21/03/14 5 5 5 5 I had a full rt. hip replacement in April 2013. I also had a full lt. hip replacement procedure in February 2014. After both of these procedures I returned to work after two weeks of rehabilitation. Similar to last year, this weekend I will walk with my pushcart and play nine holes of golf at the Pali golf course. Dr. Rasmussen is a fantastic doctor, very professional, confident, caring and willing to answer any and all questions regarding the procedure. Through her encouragement, I was able to recover quickly and return to work and resume my passion for golf.  Respond

11/03/14 5 5 5 5 Dr. Rasmussen has given me a new lease on my activities. The hip replacement I received 3 months ago is with zero pain on the job and during my exercising routines. I am in my sixties and intend to exercise and work for a long time more because I enjoy doing it and now I can. The hospital staff added to the experience in being very helpful asking me if I was in any pain and if I needed anything and always being there or available. Thank You Dr. Rasmussen. and Thank You Castle Medical  Respond

05/12/13 5 4 5 5 I had bad lower back pain for years and walking(limping) in pain became a big problem. I almost went to a spine surgeon. Then one of my hips got very sore and very bad. Dr. Rasmussen replaced my bad hip, everything went fine. No pain in my hip after surgery. It was easy to shower since the small incision was glued shut. With my new hip, my lower BACK is much better again too, and I can walk much better now. My new hip is better than my other hip. I walk about 2 miles every day again, after hardly walking at all before the surgery. If my other hip goes bad and needs replacement, I'll go back to Dr. Rasmussen and Castle Hospital!!

22/11/13 5 5 5 5 Dr. Rasmussen was highly recommended by several friends, and they were absolutely right. My wife and I immediately felt comfortable with her at our first meeting--very down-to-earth, and attentive to our concerns. Although she is very busy, we never felt rushed during our appointments. Recommended without reservations.

07/11/13 5 5 5 5 I've always been heavy, but I still played sports in Intermediate and High School and then in College. Injuries are part of the sport and life. Suffering needless pain from the injuries and arthritis for years. Has been eased since my 1st surgery in June 2002 with my right shoulder, torn Bicep muscle, torn Rotatory Cuff in 3 places and a few more damages spots. Then again in May 2013 with my Left knee and August 2013 my Right knee; both total replacement. Dr. Linda Rasmussen, sincerely cares for her patients health and a life as pain free as possible. Her graciousness and her very caring nature, make you comfortable and at ease, and her excellent medical knowledge. Speak for it self!! From the first moment I met Dr. Rasmussen, I felt all fears and anxiety dissipate. That I was in good caring hands. I Highly recommend Her and I do. Thank you very Dr. Rasmussen!!

31/10/13 5 5 5 5 I had a total knee replacement 6 weeks ago. I was apprehensive, but Dr. Rasmussen answered all my questions. She is such a calm and caring doctor, so I felt reassured before having the surgery. A few days before their surgery, we were pre registered at Castle Hospital and got to meet the staff. We were told exactly what to expect the day of surgery, what to expect from rehab and any questions that we had were answered. The nursing and PT staff at Castle were all very compassionate and caring. After 6 weeks, I am very pleased with myTKR, and highly recommend Dr. Rasmussen.

04/09/13 5 5 5 5 Dr. Rasmussen is perhaps my favorite Dr. I'd been in pain for 2-3 years and had seen several Drs. and physical therapists. I had been consistently misdiagnosed. Dr. Rasmussen quickly identified my problem and I was pain-free quickly. She is very patient, friendly, and her staff are excellent.  Respond

12/08/13 5 5 5 5 Dr. Linda Rasmussen performs a modern cutting edge surgery known as MAKOplasty, a minimally invasive robotic guided partial knee resurfacing. I had two orthopedic surgeons tell me I needed a total knee replacement which was not true. To my knowledge she is the only physician performing this procedure in Oahu. I had excellent treatment from her and the staff at Castle Medical Center. I recovered very quickly. Kudos to Dr. Linda Rasmussen for her expertise and professionalism!

17/07/13 5 5 5 5 Dr. Rasmussen is excellent in her practice; her confidence is contagious, and her team of nurses, nursing assistants and physical therapists made my recovery a truly healing experience. The makoplasty procedure done on my knee was not too invasive, and I was discharged from the hospital one day after surgery. Four days after surgery, I was able to drive myself to work, be practically ambulatory and perform most of the physical functions necessary for my work.  Respond

26/06/13 5 5 5 5 When I was younger, I had to have multiple surgeries on my knees, which were unsuccessful and caused me to fall and break my hip. The first two hip surgeries were also unsuccessful and caused me to fall frequently. Eventually, I tore my right shoulder due to one of these falls. Since then, I have been searching for doctors who can help repair my hip, knees, and shoulder. Dr. Rasmussen has been the only doctor so far who has put in the time and effort to help fix my right knee. The surgery was a success, and I got a bonus--a knee cap! I haven't had one since my twenties. Unfortunately, the previous doctor who did surgery on my left knee made it impossible for Dr. Rasmussen to repair. Fantastic doctors work out of Castle Hospital, and the personnel at Castle Hospital are blessed with kindness and compassion. The nurses, therapists, and even the maintenance employees are 100% for the patient and always have encouragement and a smile for you.  Respond

21/06/13 3 1 5 5 I have been so pleased with the care and advice and, 6 weeks ago, the surgery I received from Dr. Rasmussen. My biggest complaint with her office is the wait time! No matter when my scheduled time is for, I always find myself waiting at least 1/2 hour. I do appreciate that she takes her time with each patient and I feel the office staff schedules her appointment too close together. I recently had Makoplasty partial knee replacement and am having the second knee surgery done in 2 weeks. I am confident in her ability and her compassionate bedside manner.  Respond

06/06/13 5 5 5 5 Her level of expertise is very advanced. I was told by two orthopedic surgeons that I would need a total knee replacement. I ended up needing only one compartment of my knee replaced, not a total knee which would have been more invasive and required longer recovery. I am so fortunate as Dr. Linda Rasmussen has brought the MAKOplasty procedure to Hawaii. I also want to compliment Castle Medical Center. They have a seamless system of healthcare. Staying there was like staying at a resort. The anesthesiologist was great. I had no pain at all. Remarkable.  Respond

12/02/13 5 3 5 5 Dr. Rasmussen is amazing! She is loving, kind, and yet straightforward. She is busy and popular but that means that she REALLY good at what she does. I know about 7 women that I exercise with in the pool at the YMCA that have had Linda as their Doctor. They all love and respect her as much as I do. Their recommendations are why I ended up at the Windward Orthopaedic Group.

04/11/12 5 5 5 5 Dr. Rasmussen is a wonderful, wonderful doctor. She really knows what she's doing and she has been very helpful to me. I went to her because other doctors wanted me to lose 100lbs before they would even touch me with a knife. Other doctors wanted me to wait another 20 years for the surgery. I was in so much pain my quality-of-life was horrible. Dr. assured me she would be able to do the surgery without any problem. She was very, very personable. I wish i used her when I had my first hip surgery done. Thanks Doc, you're the best.

30/10/12 4 5 5 5 I have tremendous respect for Dr. Rasmussen, after my first visit she gave me the confidence to follow through with my total knee replacement surgery I had been putting off for years. She reassured me I had nothing to worry about, she and her staff would take care of everything, all I had to do was work hard after surgery to regain my mobility. I did not want to disappoint Dr. R., I worked hard and couldn't be happier. There was very little pain after surgery, not as much pain as I had been in before with my bad knee. I am also an Registered Nurse and highly recommend Dr. R., and any recommendation from a Nurse is always a good one. **I marked the staff down one point because I found when I would ask questions they anticipated my question and would try to answer what they thought I was going to say not what I was actually inquiring about.

15/10/12 5 5 5 5 Three weeks ago I had hip replacement surgery by Dr. Rasmussen & couldn't be happier with her skills as a surgeon & as a compassionate human being. She exhibits a genuine concern for her patients in the most comforting & committed manner possible. She visited me every day I was in the hospital & scheduled a checkup after three weeks of home recovery. She's so personable & comfortable to be with that I can't imagine ever using another sergeon in the future. I'm happy to say that due to her considerable abilities & medical artistry, I'm walking normally, without the use of a cane or any other device & I've had no pain from the day of my surgery until now. She gets my highest recommendation.

12/03/12 2 3 2 4 Nice woman but tends towards surgery as the answer to everything. Could improve listening to patient questions too. I have received inadequate responses to what I thought would be relatively easy questions (i.e How do you know the replaced hip is in the correct position?)  Respond
