The majority of the time you need to pack a lunch. They take forever. Your appointment is at 9 expect to be out of there around 1:30 or 2

I’ve been a patient for almost 10 years and highly recommend him. God has blessed him with talent to save vision and without that I would be nearly blind. Now, I can do delicate needlework and anything else I want to do. He explains every test and procedure in layman’s language and answers questions. Sometimes there is a wait time, and I used to get irritated until I had an issue and was worked in the next day. Now I understand. You won’t be disappointed.

My mother is in her 90s with advanced alzheimers, & Dr. Eddie has been treating her for 15+ years for macular degeneration. I feel that Dr. Eddie's care for her has allowed her to stave off the extreme vision loss I'd expected. We know our wait will be long as patients go thru multiple procedures. Also since most of his patients elderly, it takes them longer to get in/out of chairs in waiting & treatment rooms...to walk to/from various rooms..even in having to repeat instructions or rephrase them when patients (like my mom) have impaired comprehension & delays in speaking. Dr. Eddie & his staff have always been very patient & sensitive to her limitations & have never rushed her...so, yes, all of these things do contribute to delay but, to me & my mom, it's worth it to get such excellent, compassionate care. I also appreciate his attention to those needing emergency care even if it means we're delayed. I would suggest bringing snacks (plus they do have vending machines) & ask staff if you think your appointment may have been unintentionally overlooked. They've always been helpful when we've had questions.

2-3 hours for an injection appointment and 4-5 hours for a testing appointment is ridiculous. It seems that people are called for appointments randomly, not by the time you are scheduled. Several times we feel we've be skipped or forgotten but the staff doesn't seem to be too concerned. I think this is because this is a normal practice here. If there were other doctors I could see, I'd surely look elsewhere but unfortunately there isn't!! Dr. Eddie is very knowledgeable but the office as a whole has no order or organization. Be prepared to spend your whole day waiting.

I've never had to wait long at all. He does have a large number of patients and I'd suspect he sees the most critical patients first, as it should be. I too believe Dr. "Eddie" Ysasaga is one of the best opthamologists you could find.

Dr Eddie is awesome. He has treated me for torn retina (it was an emergency) and I have had a few surgeries for this(no fault of his) He has done everything he could to try and fix my vision. He is an excellent Dr. He has excellent patient skills. The wait time in his office is just what it is, if you want the best you seek out the best.He is the best I think.I am so grateful to have him taking care of my eyes.I do believe without his knowledge and skills and yes caring I would have lost all the vision in my eye.

Waiting time is 3-4 hours per appointment. Very difficult for elderly patients and families, especially if traveling from out of town.

Well it is rare that you see a doctor that will even let you in the front door without insurance. Dr Eddie not only saw me, he treated me for nothing and saved my sight. Great doc with excellent bedside manner and a true heart for people. He is a true doc with unmatched skills. He is busy for a reason..... He is the BEST. It takes time to do things the right way and I would wait 24 hrs if my vision was at stake again. The vast majority of his pts are elderly and although it may seem easy to judge the wait, the only way to make it shorter is to let patients like me go blind. I was an emergency and got squeezed in and promptly fixed...... Awesome doctor doing the best work and the most successful surgery.
