Be carful about the referral she gave you. Collect more information before you go to her office and make sure ask questions till you fully understand the purpose of the referral. I leaned this experisence with my out-of-pocket payment.

I have also had unnecessary procedures performed. She fixed a filling that I had no problem with and no problem on the x-ray. (of course this is my fault for agreeing). I recently had a tooth absess. She could not fit me in to evaluate it. When she finally saw me she recommended I get a 400. TMJ device for the jaw pain. I mentioned that the jaw pain was likely related to the tooth absess and I thought the bone was infected as well. She did not agree that the bone was infected, however finally looked at the x-ray and said there was an absess. Fortunately another dentist was able to read the x-ray which revealed an absess and a bone infection and the tooth was removed emergently that day. No 400$ tmj was recommended. And at the time of the absess she couldn't treat she told me I needed a crown and a new filling (just as a precaution) and I should schedule them before I leave.

I can't believe anyone could have a bad experience at this office. My visit was the best I've had in 43 years. Dr. Zervos got me out of pain,and even checked on me the next day. She was as gentle as they come. Can't say enough good things about her. Thank you very much Dr. Zervos and staff.

Dr. Zervos has not only performed unnecessary dental procedures on myself and others I know of, but she also unethically will bill the insurance companies without billing the patient. Worst of all, she is so ROUGH with patients and has inflicted additional injuries while working on teeth. She insisted on re-doing two fillings that were not causing me any trouble and were only 2 years old--now after her careless and rough handling of my teeth, I have a cracked tooth and pain in that area of my mouth. I could go on and on...but what a shame--a wonderful office staff and wonderful hygienists, but a BAD dentist. I wish someone had warned me!
