Dr. Ermes Cogliani is a rare gem in the medical community. He is knowlegeable, compassionate, responsive and actually listens to your questions/concerns. Yes his staff is lacking in some areas but the important thing here is the medical care. I experienced a terrible loss after carrying my child for 5 months and could not ask for a more caring doctor and nurse (Clara.) It was a tough experience and they followed up sincere concern within hours. I now have a beautiful baby boy and Dr. Cogliani always checks in on us. Like a said, a rare gem.

He is a wonderful doctor. I found this doctor just by chance when i was carrying my son 8months. I actually went to Dr. Chaubey. She showed up only at the very end, that is when i was to goto delivery. Just to say Hi.Dr. Cogliani had to perform an emergency c-section. But i must say he actually tried for long time for natural birth. Also his operation was admired by all the nurses & other doctors who subsequently attended me. Complete YES for him. I will surely go too him for my subsequent kids.STAFF- HORRIBLE & MEAN

I have been going to Dr Cogliani for over 15 years. He delivered my 2nd son. He is very knowledgeable, spends the time needed to answer mine and my husbands questions, truly cares and shows compassion and goes out of his way to get results back quickly. As I get old and run into new issues he handles them with care. I always feel his is looking out for my health. His staff could be more helpful and the offices could be nicer but when it comes to being a good doctor he is the best. The office staff is helpful at schedule appt based on my time. It would be nice if the two offices had better communication between them.

Dr. Cogliani is a great doctor. He is very kind and gentle, unlike his colleagues. I agree with other raters regarding the staff. They are just horrible and make you feel very awkward. It is very frustrating dealing with them. Regardless, I will continue to see Dr. Cogliani. I wonder if he actually knows how bad his staff is...

I put up with the office staff (not the worst)who seem to think patients are bothering them when they call or come in for an appointment. Finding a caring competent gyn is tough. I can see how he runs behind because he does take his time. I hope he remains in practice. His partner took care of me during an emergency and stayed very late at the hospital to due emergency surgery so I would not have to wait to the morning. While she may not be as warm as Dr. Cogliani, she was very competent and attentive during my stay. I agree with the previous writer, I can not imagine this doctor insulting anyone - perhaps they were oversensitive to his humor. As far as the meds go - doctors do have different opinions. I would put up with the office and wait to see him. It is worth it.

Dr. Cogliani is a great GYN! He is very knowledgeable and caring. The office wait can be long especially during the lunch time or close, but he is well worth the wait. He also takes his time to address your concerns and make you feel comfortable. I lost insurance for a small period of time and he went out of his way to get me free samples for 3 months, and he reduced not only my office visit but gave me a card to reduce the price for my prescriptions thereafter for 6 months (price $20/pack). I'd recommend him to my family, friends, and obviously strangers :-)

Very helpful, very satisfied. All doctors are just great, knowledgeable, very concerned about patient safety. Just couple of staff members really loud and don't give answers with sincerely.

I went to this dr based on the reviews from this web site, here to tell you they are wrong! the staff is extremely rude! the dr, doesn't listen to you! We always had to wait more than 30 min - 1 hr just to see him. After 3 visits with him, I learned my lesson!! DON'T have him for a dr.!

If I could have all my medical problems treated by this doctor I would. He is great, takes time to listen, takes time to explain and takes seriously all my concerns. I have never felt dismissed in my symptoms by this doctor. He has a good sense of humor, he is very kind and does not waste your time/money with unnecessary tests. You won't be a guinea pig but a patient. I love this doctor and trust him 100%. He is also very positive and encouraging.

The only reason why I continue being treated by this office is him. The staff and Dr. S. Choubey are horrible. The staff do not provide customer service, you are not greeted with a smile. I LOVE HIM...He is so smart and takes his time to answer your questions. You can tell that he loves what he does because of the way he explain things to you. I had gone to another OB/GYN before him because I was not getting my period and I also went to a hormone doctor because I was gaining weight and Dr. Cogliani checked me once and knew I had polycystic ovary syndrome causing all these things. I live in Kearny and go all the way to Piscataway for him cause he's that great!

Dr. Cogliani is very kind and friendly and made me feel comfortable during each visit. He tries to calm patients by being funny and not insulting as suggested by whoever posted before me. I can't imagine this man EVER insulting anyone. He is gentle and caring and made my first pregnancy feel like a walk in the park even though I was scared and unsure of what was to be expected. After being a patient of Dr. Cogliani's for 4 years now, I couldn't imagine going to anyone else. He is the best ob/gyn and I HIGHLY recommend him to EVERYONE! :)

Dr. Cougliani, made a laughing matter of having STDs, and told me if I had one it was no big deal everyone does. I turned green and almost passed out, but he just walked away from me with out a care. He also told me there was hardly any risk in using the birth control patch but Choubey had told me there was a much greater risk of DVT with this form of BC. I dispise all doctors and employees from this OBGYN group. You would be wise to find a different doctor!
