I was referred to Dr. Bechara after my primary care Doctor found swelling in the lymph nodes by my lung. He was booked, but I was 'squeezed' in with an appointment that week. He came into the exam room and I briefly explained my sypmtoms. He asked when I could be available for a Brochoscopy. He said he could do it tomorrow and I said I could as well. He briefly told me what this would entail, and left the room. He was with me a total of 5 or 6 minutes at the most. He never examined me in any way. I was billed close to $550 dollars for the office visit, exam, etc. I was not happy. I called his office 3 times to follow up on test results from the procedure. I never got a person, only voicemail. No one ever returned my calls. I ended up in the hospital a few weeks later. After I was released, I found that one of the insurance claims was for him for a hospital visit. I never saw him in the hospital. He is overpriced and under qualified in my opinion.

Dr. Bechara misdiagnosed me with stage IIIB NSC lung cancer. He told me I needed to have surgery immediately. After thousands of dollars, 5 hours of surgery, and chronic post thoracotomy pain, I would suggest anyone reading this post find another pulmonologist.

Very good doctor. found problem four previous doctors did not find.
