This doctor is wonderful and spends a lot of time with each patient and is very knowledgeable and very thorough. However, 3 hours is the average wait time for a routine checkup - it sometimes is much longer than that even, which is just totally unacceptable. How can sick or elderly patents wait that long?? I have decided to find a different doctor (that's why I'm on this website)for this reason plus the way the office is run in general. Many times the office staff doesn't follow up on things they say they will, and the doctor doesn't return your calls either - maybe the staff doesn't tell him about it(?), or he may call you back at 10pm that day or a few days later for example. It is very hard to connect with the office because the answering service takes all calls until 3pm which is when the first appointment of the day is. All the negative things are very unfortunate because Dr. Wallens is great doctor.
