My husband and I had visited an invitro specialist prior to Dr. Berger and they told me that they were my best option over tubal reversal, but that they didn't do them after 43. At the time I was 42 1/2 and had to figure out how to come up with 20,000 plus. It wasn't very encouraging. I had, had my tubes tied for over 14 years prior to meeting Dr. Berger. We found Dr. Berger and called the office with a million and one questions. The price was no where near 20,000 dollars and they were very encouraging even though I was at this time 43 1/2. I had my surgery Oct 31 2008 and the staff was great. I got a positive on March 2009 (5 months later). I am due in Dec. 2009. Even when I had questions after the surgery and after I got pregnant the office staff and Dr. Berger was available to answer my questions. We used the Medchoice option and paid it off with our tax return then we were able to go ahead and get the surgery.

I had my tubal reversal in 2003, and became pregnant 8 months later. I have to admit I was hesistant at first, because I am from Texas and I would have to travel to North Carolina. But I spent many wonderful phone conversations and emails with Dr. Berger and his staff, that by the time it was time to go, I felt I had friends there. The treated me very well, and took good care of me and my husband. I gave birht to my son Victor in April 2004, and he is my pride and joy-all because of Dr. Berger's expertise and the hope he gave us. God blessed us truly with my son. Not a day goes by that I don't recall the journey we made and the succesful outcome.

My husband and I made the trip to Chapell Hill in 2004 and in 2006 I gave birth to a healthy baby boy. I could never thank Dr. Berger and his staff enough for the gift they gave to me and my family. Its like they are part of our family after all we do have a Berger baby. They went above and beyond to answer questions via phone and email. Many Many thanks to Dr Berger and his staff

Hi My name is Lynn,I went to Dr.Berger to have my tubes untied. I have not never had such a nice staff and dr even through having my kids. If you are looking to get your tubes untied I call Dr. Berger do your research I did. But in the end you will see Dr>Berger is the only Doctor that has a sight that you can view so many people that have already went through him and had such great turn outs. I had my tubes untied march 6,2009 and was 5 weeks pregnant by april 15th. I lost the baby but know that I can get pregnant. I am sure I just started way to soon lol. Dr. Berger is the best!!!!! Dont just take my word, again research you will see....Oh and by the way I drove from Wichita kansas to N.C just to have my surg done by Dr.Berger long drive there but even longer back but yet well worth it.

Dr. Berger and his staff were very helpful, very understanding and very caring of our needs and wants in our endeavor to have our tubal reversal surgery. Three months after our procedure we concieved our baby boy and 9 months later we welcomed our son.

Had my TR in 2001 with Dr. B and have never regretted it. My experience was so wonderful before and after the TR. Do not pay attention to those saying the staff doesn't care. That is ridiculous. I have emailed Dr. B years later with questions, and he has PERSONALLY answered all of them within 24 hours...and I am not the only one he does that for..and he doesn't get paid for that. Don't blame Dr. B if your reversal doesn't take..that is in God's hands. I had 4 m/c between my 2 tr babies..it had nothing to do with having a TR or the Dr. I used..it happens to everyone, TR or not. I am on my 7th TR pregnancy. If this one doesn't stick, it's not Dr. B's fault. I wrote the book Tubal Reversal Our Journeys mainly because I was so inspired by the way God works through Dr. Berger. And he doesn't have to BASH other doctors on his website like the other's do. They do it because they know he is the best doctor for this procedure. Dr. B is A++++ and I back him 100%

has great stats, i had the easiest to undo, filshie. both tubes are scarred, had hsg and then recanalization and i'm very scarred. having another reversal done by another dr using a different technique, no stents. i am not happy. they treat you like cattle with no privacy at all. the nurses were arguing about speaking outloud about vd's etc. i would never trust him to touch me again. he said he would use a different technique. why didn't he use that to begin with. i am height and weight appropriate as well. no health issues. have had other surgeries and always healed miraculously. i will file a malpractice for all the pain and suffering both physically and emotionally.

I had my surgery in Oct 06. My miracle baby boy was born 11/08. I was treated so wonderfully at chapel hill, I have yet to meet any other medical professional that is as skilled and caring as the group of people that work at chapel hill. Dr. Berger and his staff were/are there to answer questions before (I'm talking months) I ever even paid for my surgery and even to this day, they respond to questions that i have and help any way they can. Doctors just don't care as much as this group of people do. I would go back again, in fact my husband and I are considering it because I was stupid enough to get ligation again and PTLS is 10 times worse this time. If we do decide to reverse again I wouldn't go anywhere else not even if it was free! I flew in from Az. and my experience there was better than a lot of vacations I've had and thats saying a lot considering I went there for surgery but the absolute best part was my gorgeous baby boy in my lap making it hard for me to type this right now

My name is Christine 'Tina' Kachmar and my husband Mike and I welcomed our son, Maxson on March 26, 2009. He weighed 8 lbs. 7 ozs. and was 22 inches long. I had my tubal reversal in August 2004 after being hulka clipped for 9 years. I had a miscarriage in 2006 but the wait was well worth it. Our son is perfect and he is very healthy. I would recommend Dr. Berger's facility because everyone there was so nice and obviously the procedure was a success. Dr. Berger performed my tubal ligation reversal in the summer of 2005. As far as I know, he is in a class by himself. Normally this surgery requires many weeks of recovery. My husband and I flew to NC from OK, met w/ Dr. Berger the next day, had surgery the day after (I was up walking the halls soon after), and was on a plane home the following day. After that there was minimal pain and almost no downtime. The whole experience was wonderful, and being finally restored brought peace.
Dr. Berger's office is a testament to life, with binders full of pictures of the beautiful babies that have come into the world thanks to his skilled hands.
If you are on the fence about doing this, consider what I finally came to realize, that as with all contraception, tubal ligation takes a bodily function that is working properly, the way it is designed to operate, and causes it to malfunction. This is not health care.
Don't wait another minute; call Dr. Berger and restore your body.

I travelled from the UK to USA as i had heard of Dr Berger's excellent reputation for performing tubal reversal. The centre staff were courteous, professional and polite - and i was treated like a princess! I had a follow up HSG 6 months later back in the UK to be told both tubes were blocked - i was pregnant 3 weeks later! So 6 months after my op at the age of 38 i was pregnant - thank you so much Dr Berger.

I had my tubal reversal in July of 2007. I only have one fallopian tube (another issue that had nothing to do with my procedure here). My husband and I started actively trying to get pregnant in Sept of 2008 and as of March 19 - I am pregnant. We are very excited and it would not have been possible without Dr. Berger and his wonderful staff!

Dr Berger is a wonderful man and excellent doctor! I traveled from Northern Canada to have him perform a tubal reversal at his Tubal Reversal Center in Chapel Hill NC. Although there was a local doctor that could have done the surgery, we wanted it done by the best!! From the moment you arrive at his center you will be treated as if you are the only patient there! All of his team are friendly, caring and professional. Dr. Berger took all the time necessary to provide us with information, listen to us and answer all of our questions. He has great bedside manner and is a gentle, caring person. We had the best experience while there and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone considering tubal reversal. He is a highly skilled doctor, top in his field!! ...I am only two weeks post op and my incision site is barely visible!! He does wonderful work helping couples to create their own little miracle. I would highly recommend Dr. Berger to anyone!!!

I had my TR done in November of 2003 and in a year me and husband had a little girl born in November of 2004, and in March of 2006 we also had a son. We thank god and Dr. Berger everytime we look at them because without him we wouldn't have them 2. I was kind of skeptical at first because we kept trying and trying but we also knew that it may take some time and nothing can happen as fast as we wanted but it finally happened and when it did we let Dr. Berger and his staff know. So it's truly a miracle and a gift from God.

Dr. Berger did our tubal reversal on 10-30-06 he did an exceptional job, very professional, very nice people they have a way of making you feel at ease, if you have a qustion they are more than happy to help you to understand. I felt very scared to be put to sleep due to a prior surgery, they helped me to be calm and not to worry that everything would be o.k. They shuttle you to the hospital and back to your hotel when you are thru, and then come to your room the next morning to make shur everything is ok before you go home. We found out we were expecting 4 months later had a baby girl 10-7-07 and are happy to find out we did it again we are due in september of 09. we cannot thank these people at Chapal Hill enough they are true miracle workers, I would highly recommend Dr. Berger to any one.

Dr. Berger performed my reversal on 8/01/03. In 2004, after an HSG, I was told by a local doctor that my tubes were blocked, but Dr. Berger assured me the results were inconclusive. To my surprise in Oct/05 I found out I was expecting. I gave birth to my son on 07/31/06. We were on top of the world as you could expect. Although we could not have asked for anymore miracles, the lord blessed us w/another pregnancy 18 months later. I gave birth to a precious baby girl on 11/20/08. Without Dr Berger and his gifted hands I would have never had my 2 miraculous babies. There isn't another like him. I will be forever thankful to him and his staff.

The staff, friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Berger explained every detail to us. I had no doubt I was in good hands! Dr. Berger and his staff are such a blessing. I had my TR April '08 and was very pleased with my experience. I searched for 5 years for a TR doctor and I always went back to Dr. Berger. The staff was great and very kind during the IV when I almost passed out. Dr.B was kind and very helpful to me even after my TR. And now I am currently 6 weeks pregnant and am very pleased that my surgery worked. I would highly encourage anyone interested in a Tubal Reversal to check out Dr. Berger and Chapel Hill TR Center. It was a wonderful experience and the stay in Chapel Hill was great! Even my own OB/GYN wanted all of Chapel Hill's information to give to women that come to him for information on TR's! I would have done it all over again if I would have had too!

I chose to do tr after trying ivf. My insurance paid for most of the ivf. As a christian i did not like the idea of freezing embryos. The first attempt produced one egg it fertilized but did not grow proper. the second time I had three eggs fertilized( i choose to use all )and the result was a miscarriage. I feared doing ivf again because i did not want to over stimulate and take the chance of having to freeze. I feel that God lead me to Dr. Berger. I am so glad he did. Everyone was absolutely wonderful. I have read that some feel they wasted their money because for whatever reason they have not yet become pregnant. Whether or not I have positve results I will always feel that I was given the best care possible. I actually feel like a whole women again. I thank God for all the Chapel Hill staff. So ladies good luck on your journey. If your journey leads you to tr Chapel Hill is the absolute best choice.

Our overall experience was extremely positive. The doctors and staff were extremely knowledgeable, presented the necessary info we needed to feel comfortable to elect to have the surgery there. I am extremely pleased with the care and service I received by Dr. Berger and his staff. They genuinely care about their patients and are always there to answer any questions or concerns. I was impressed with how everyone (including Dr. Berger - most doctors only give a brief bedside introduction) took time to meet with my significant other and myself. I was scared to have the procedure and the staff was very compassionate and professional. They explained everything in advance and made me very comfortable. The best part....one month later, I am pregnant! I couldn't have chosen a better facility!

I took a lot of time looking for a Doctor who could perform a tubal reversal. There are many out there, and having surgery isn't something I take lightly. It was very important for me to find the right Doctor and and the right staff to provide me with EXCELLENT care. I found Dr. Berger and his staff to go above and beyond my expectations. I was able to get all my questions answered before and even after surgery. Dr. Berger and his staff provided me with great care, and were very helpful during the entire process. My surgery went very well, and I healed very quickly. At my discharge they gave me instructions that I followed closely. I was very impressed by the follow up care that Dr. Berger and his staff provided. I am more than satisfied. I had my tubal reversal in 2004 and have always felt that Dr Berger and the entire staff have been caring and attentive. I can still call the office,ask questions, and get answers. I have never received this kind of consistently good service with any other doctor I have had. I know they have strict rules about their message board. It was created for their patients to discuss tubal reversal. The members on the board are "guests in their home", so to speak, and are expected to abide by the rules or are asked to leave. In my experience it has nothing to do with their success as tubal reversal patients.

I received the most personalized healthcare I have ever experienced while a patient with this office. My husband and I comment regularly that we only wish our local doctors could be so attentive or that we lived in NC! There will always be one or two people who are not happy with something, but we have no complaints! I was referred by a friend who has since had a blocked tube, and her follow-up and the concern of Dr. Berger and the facility remained the same, wonderful approach. They are willing to help till you are not a success for their statistics then you don't mean anything to them anymore. They claim that there's only a 5% chance of blocked tubes, that's not accurate. They have policed their board so as you can't post a negative comment or they ban you and you don't exist anymore. I went onto have a baby with the help of my wonderful RE. The TR was a complete waste of money!! Their message board is fraud because they don't let the whole story be told. I scheduled my surgery based on what I read and it's definitely be whitewashed! I would suggest anyone considering using this Dr first get another opinion of wether they are even a candidate for a TR. I found out too late by 3 other drs that do TR's that I was never a candidate.

I think that the staff at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center try their best to maintain the high standards of Dr. Berger. I have not come across any other physician in the world that provides so much information regarding this procedure as well as the statistics that he provides. With all of the information that is provided it helps us to make the most informed decision possible. Even though we know that there is no guarantee that pregnancy will be achieved, it is nice to know that there is someone out there that is willing to us his skills to given women a chance. Dr. Berger and his staff are by far the most organized and professional team I've had the pleasure of dealing with in the medical field! They've worked together for years and have things down to a fine science. They took time to answer every paranoid question I had. I never felt rushed through the process. I can't recommend Dr. Berger highly enough!! The post-surgery support system is amazing. I can call or email and get a quick response from anyone on the staff including Dr. Berger himself! He doesn't overtax himself by trying to take on more patients than he can handle in a day and I believe this is a true testimony to a doctor who's out to help people and not just running them through a mill.

I would like to say that I have never been to a better place that has the nicest, caring and the best outstanding service until I went to Chapel Hill Tr Center. They are there with you every step of the way. They explain every detail, make sure you are completely comfortable, and are there for your needs after your surgery when you are at home. I have always had a response back from my emails to them usually the same day. The message boards are a great source of learning what this procedure is all about and we are there for each other through this journey. All I have to say is they are the #1 medical center in my book with the best Dr. and Staff you could ask for no matter what the outcome is..

i had my tr in january 08. i had an ectopic pregnancy and am now currently 8 weeks pregnant. i am in disagreement with the ladies in reference to the message board. it is the one thing that actually helped me make my decision on chosing dr. berger. you can get alot of information from the board that you won't find on any other tr website. the staff was great, and whenever i email dr. berger directly, he always responded quickly. i would recommend him to anyone wanting a tr.

I had a TR with DR. Berger and was very happy with my whole experience. The first thing that caught my eye was the message board and that is what lead me to further my research on him. I must say though that since my TR I have to agree with some of what the other poster has said about the "rules" and policeing of the message board. If there is anything mentioned that they do not like or mentions any other type of procedure to get preg. which I have not had IVF so that is not the reason for me saying this..they get snotty and will remove or threaten to ask you to leave.I do not agree with this at all.Other than that, I was happy and he is a wonderful physican...and I do not think he is the TR Moderator..so that makes me happy.

Finding Dr.Berger was the best thing that could have happened to my husband and I. Before my surgery his staff was awesome, The best I have encountered, and Dr. Berger was so helpful and understanding. 3 months after my surgery we are expecting our 1st tubal reversal baby. We thank God, Dr. Berger, and his staff they are every woman's answer to tubal reversal.

I was very happy with them. I had some issues with healing after I got home and they were very helpful when I called. I got some meds and I am doing very well now. The staff has answered any question without making me feel like I was nuts or the only one with that problem. Thank you again for all you have done for me.

Dr Berger is by far the most caring Doctor I have ever been to. I am almost three thousand miles away from his office, had my Tubal Reversal Surgery over a month ago, and he is still following up with me. He has made personal phone calls as well as numerous emails to ensure good follow up care. His office staf was excellent. 5 stars all the way!!

Dr. Berger and his staff are the most professional, kind-hearted, dedicated and resourceful group I have ever done "business" with. He went above and beyond when it came to my surgery. Where one doctor and an uniformed decision left me with no hope of ever having a chance to have another baby - Dr. Berger pulled out a miracle and made me whole again. Unfortunately, there seems to be many women across the world in my same position. Fortunately - for us - there is Dr. Berger. I would recommend him to EVERYONE - with complete confidence that I was putting them in the best hands. I have never been in a place that made you feel so welcomed, important and cared for. His skill is unparalleled. His knowledge abounding. And the individual attention he gives each patient in astounding. And... when you tell him so - he is so humble. No matter the outcome for me personally - I am honored and blessed to have found him and to have been cared for by him. He is truly amazing!

WOW! What can I say about Dr. Berger and his staff? NOT ENOUGH! They are the best, most professional staff I have ever known. My wife and I started researching why she was having so many problems after her tubal ligation in '03. Every symptom pointed to PTLS. Thank God for Dr. Berger. We made several calls and sent several emails--all handled so caring and professionally. When we arrived, we both were treated so well. My wife had surgery the first week of May. After surgery, the next morning she was hurting pretty badly. Dr. Berger, without hesitation or requesting more money, offered to go back in and give her more local anesthesia to make the plane trip more comfortable for her. In this very short time, I can already tell a difference in her mood, energy, menses, etc. We are also so happy that we can possibly conceive another child (she wants 3 more--we already have 4). Lori was always calling and checking on us--so caring. Thank you so much Dr. Berger! Gary & Christelle--Alabama

In my opinion,Dr. Berger is an amazing surgeon. He truly emphasizes your care and comfort throughout the surgical procedure. The supporting staff is a gentle and nurturing one; very compassionate and in tune to making the experience a relaxed one. Although it has been 8 cycles since my TR procedure, without a pregnancy to report; my left tube has since closed, I feel that I gave myself the absolute best care and expertise that money could buy. I have no regrets, had a wonderful experience and wouldn't change a thing. I came all the way from California to see Dr. B and both my husband and I felt welcomed and treated with courtesy and respect the entire time we were there. I have had excellent contact by phone, always prompt and friendly, since I came back home. I remain optimistic that I will conceive with my one open tube and I feel blessed to have a second chance. Thank you Dr. B and thank you CHTRC staff! You're the best!

Dr. Berger and his staff were awesome!!!! They were extremely kind and patient throughout the entire process. Dr. Berger and and his staff were very approachable and every detail of my surgery and recovery were explained. There were no surprises and Dr. Berger and his staff answered all of my questions no matter how many times I called. I had minimal pain,I only needed pain meds the first night following my surgery and I was able to resume my normal activities the next day. I did not experience any adverse effects. The nurse coming to my hotel room the day after surgery provided a nice personal touch as well as the gift box of permissable food. I would highly recommend Dr. Berger and Chapel Hill to everyone who was considering tubal reversal surgery. Very friendly, very interested in the details of my post tubal ligation symptoms as well as my desire for another baby. Gave me the possible reasons why PTLS exists, interested in my outcome. Compassionate, thoughtful. Gave me the time and attention I needed, plenty of opportunity for questions answered and discussion. I felt supported and understood. The post surgery period was almost pain-free, I only needed a small amount of pain medication for the first few days. Professional and very dedicated to the well being and happiness of women everywhere. I'm so glad I found his site on the internet.

The whole experience was like going on vacation!~My husband and I felt so pampered!The staff and Dr Berger were AWESOME and made us feel like we were the only patient!My TR was 8/27/07 and they continue to call and check on me and even extended my work note for me.I am still a little sore at my incision but other than that it's been great!I would do it all again if I had to.I guess now we just wait and pray for a baby.I can't wait to give my husband his first child.Thank-you Dr Berger and your wonderful nurses! :) Donna Downs Chesapeake<VA
