Biography
Dr. Stephen M. Desio is an orthopedic surgeon board certified in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. He was fellowship trained in sports medicine at the University of Utah and has been treating patients in Worcester County since 1995. Dr. Desio has served as a team physician in amateur through semi-professional sports. He brings this same level of experience and expertise to the office every day to treat his patients. Dr. Desio specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of injuries of the knee and shoulder, focusing on arthroscopic surgery with minimally invasive techniques. These advanced surgical techniques are complemented by accelerated rehabilitation programs to give his patients the best chances for success and improve the quality of their lives. As a five-time Ironman triathlete, Dr. Desio understands the passion and drive to achieve your goals. He also knows the frustration of injury that can place you on the sideline.
