In my opinion: If you have been referred to this dr/office it could be in your best interest to find another provider. Does Dr Lasswell know what he’s doing? Probably, hopefully. But, I do not believe he has any clue how rude the office staff and “nurses” are to the patients. I say this based upon my own personal experiences and having witnessed upsetting interactions between other patients with said employees. Think about it, these will be the same people you will have to deal with. In fairness, I have only good things to say about the lab person I dealt with.

I Have been under Doctor William Lasswells "practice" for over eight years and have witnessed his decline in my patient care to the point of total frustration from lack of care to out right incompetence bordering on malpractice ! Recently, I was admitted to the ER at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Medical Center with very high blood sugar levels and dangerous high blood pressure. My Blood Sugar Levels have been under control for years! Not one time did anyone from Diabetes and Endocrine Associates visit me during their rounds. More shocking, I did not receive any of my medications for over 24 hours when I was finally given a insulin shot. After my release, still no contact until I called "Lassells" answering service. Hours later his associate told me to double my metformin dosage and call for an appointment the following week. As our consultation was ending he berated me for missing appointments which I had called to cancel due to schedule conflicts and illness. $$$$ When I felt well enough to pick up my prescription at the pharmacy, the Pharmacist told me they had been calling his office for several days since March 9 and they never responded. A day or two later still no response! In the end HE FAILED TO PROVIDE ANY PRESRIBING INSTUCTIONS FOR MY NEW MEDICATION TO MY PHARMACY! Finally, after a very terse voice mail, they finally complied and provided instructions after eight days!!! I recently received a letter of termination which is a joke since I had already made arrangements to see a competent Doctor.

Lacks empathy, rude nurses, difficult to get a hold of, doesn't listen to patient's symptoms.

The receptionist is very impersonal and rude. I was having a lot of problems and asked for the Dr. to call back and the message was never given to him. Practice is centered around money and nothing else. They do not have the concerns or care of the patient as the main focus at all. Terribly dissapointed

I never need to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes. The best scheduling for any doctors I have seen. Dr. Lasswell is knowledgeable and thorough. I will not see any other endocrinologist except for Dr. Lasswell. He is the best!

I would not recommend Dr. Laswell. At first I thought he was a caring doctor who would help his patients out with anything that you need. Well I was wrong. I asked him to fill out some medical leave paperwork for me to save my job incase of hospitalization and he refused multiple times. Then I call the office to verify my appointment and it was cancelled and I was terminated from the practice for non compliance because I asked for paperwork to be filled out. I think this was very professional. I even filled out the paperwork for him and all he had to do was review and sign and he refused that as well. So if you are needing anything done special through this doctor he wont and then will terminate you from coming back

I had a hypothyroid symptoms : tired, pallpitation,slow heart reat, blood preasure up and down,joint and musle aches,swelling in my ankles , feet and face,long periods,+ high antibodies and he said that my symptoms are not thyroid related and high antibodies doesnt mean anything....So I was very sick ,I went to the Mayo clinic and I was diagnose with Hashimotos thyroiditis... but didnt get any medication eather , crazy...so I went to Dr. Borchelt and got on thyroid medication and doing exelente...Dr. Laswell needs to go back to school...terible experience dont go to him with thyroid problems....

Actual time with Dr Lasswell is very minimal. He could be more personable but I was spoiled by my previous Dr. of 20+ yrs before moving to Vero Beach
