Very islamophobic. Do not understand how this man still has a medical license. Would be terrified for any brown people who may “look” Muslim to be his patient.

Yet another COVID-denying quack... this one spent time with Capitol insurrectionist Simone Gold. Avoid if at all possible!

This Doctor is terrific. The wait time can be long long at times only because the Dr Urso takes all the time needed for each patient and their family to understand the complete treatment and results. Outstanding Doctor! I had a tear duct that was filled with debris resulting from plugs inserted years before...continuing infections and discomfort. Surgery went excellent and I have had no continuing issues over the past 3 years. Going to go to him for my current need, cataract surgery. The long drive from Clear Lake is worth the trip to get such expert personable care. I go to the Gramercy location.

They are very nice and caring before they remove your eye. Then they gave no compassion. I have tried to reach then since June 25th I finally called but I didn’t get Dr Urso, I got a tech. I have gone to Houston Eye associates fur over 30 years and have never been treated like this... I’m crying on the phone and the guy has no emotion. He said you can come in Friday.... dude it’s Monday!!!! My eye is bleeding. I will be finding another doctor.

I went to Dr Ur so for about eight years. He is the most professional educated ophthalmologist I have ever met and dealt with. He is kind and compassionate as well. He has performed two surgeries on me without one problem. Because of having to leave my insurance a few years back I have been seeing other eye doctors that are no comparison to Dr. Urso. I hope one day I will be able to return to him. He had taken care of my Thyroid Eye disease for many years. Thank you Dr. Urso. I will never forget your kind compassionate care and service to my health.

I love Dr. Urso! I see him at the Gramercy location and have zero complaints. He listens to everything and spends time with his patients. He doesn't talk down to you and explains very clearly. Wish all my doctors were like him!

Dr. Urso treated our son for double vision after a nearly fatal motorcycle accident in 2013. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable and he treated all of us with great compassion in a very difficult time in our lives. I will always be grateful to Dr. Urso for his genuine concern and excellent care.

I used Doctor Urso for both eye lids and cataract surgery. Doctor is excellent surgeon and caring and knowledgable. He leaves the decision up to patient. More scents his recommendation and let's patient decide on next step. Totally disagree with the prior experiences.

I have made a couple of visits to Dr Richard Urso and here is my observation. The Doctor seems OK, though I have not had much of an opportunity to evaluate him. But the support staff at the sugarland location, the Dr's secretary and his nurse all very unprofessional. Every time I visited the clinic I waited more than 1 hr beyond the appointed time to meet with the Dr. One time I was the only one when I entered the clinic but I still waited for 1hr and I was moved one room to the other. The reception at the sugarland is not helpful for any information in regard to the appointment. They keep saying that its the nurse that handles everything and I need to talk to them. I had to push hard to find out where and how I can meet her and then they called her from inside the same clinic. It appeared earlier that the person was at some other location. When I call the Dr's office his secretary picks up, she calls herself DD. She is very discurtious. On my last appointment, I reached the clinic 1/2 hr before my scheduled apt and was told that the apt was at the different location. I was completely unaware of that. I was told that need to speak to the nurse. But the reception would not connect me. I had to go out get my ride back and then use my rides cell phone to call the clinic at the other location to be told by the DR's secretary that I was very clearly told that I needed to be down town and not at sugarland. I asked that I be called back to re-chedule and aslo that I wanted to talk to the doctor. Till date I have not received calls from either the doctor or his nurse, even after leaving messages for them to call me with DD. I am sure the Doctor is not aware of any of this. I am also not sure how to get to him as there is no direct way.
