I used brown fertility. They seem to be aware of women’s fertility issues but not men’s. My husband had an absence of sperm in his sperm analysis and taught help and direction form Dr. Brown. At the consultation he just said he was not sure what was wrong with him but never performed a physical examination on him. He said our only option was donor sperm. We checked in a year later for help and direction of what is wrong with my husband, again no exam and I keep pushing for questions and answers. Finally, exasperated he stated that we could try to see a urologist but that not to listen to them and don’t go on Clomid and there is really nothing they can do, that he is the fertility doctor. I did not even know seeing urologist is something we should even be doing and though they dealt with other issues, such as urinary track infections or other dysfunctions. He gave us a referral to a urologist who was horrible and I am assuming is a buddy of his. We immediately researched and found a better urologist who specializes is male fertility issues here in Jacksonville, she is wonderful. We are not in the medical field at all which is why we did not see one sooner, we were directed to Dr. Brown from my gyno thought that was the correct step. However, it was a nightmare getting my husband’s medical records transferred to the urologist. The urologist office contacted us and said that their offices would not send the records over. Even though it is the law they have to send medical records over. My husband called multiple times, politely asking them to send over. I finally called and then went down there on my lunch break and demanded that they be transferred. After the paper work was received to the office, it stated that Doctor Brown recommended that we see a urologist at our initial appointment over a year ago which is false, we were NEVER told this. Then only at the second appoint did he mention seeing a urologist and he warned against it. After Brent had an exam with the urologist, the doctor said right away you have varicocele (which is varicose vein) and that any Doctor even a general heath doctor could feel it and diagnose it. He needed surgery to correct it as not correcting it could cause it to shirk. She performed the surgery and my husband tested and it worked, he now has a low sperm count. This means we waited a year and half for answers that he should have diagnosed. He is on Clomid to assist with the count. We will still need help to conceive, but the fact is that we can now have a biological child. Had we listed to doctor brown, my husband may not have had the surgery that he needed, and we may not be have a biological child. Now we went back to see their offices for IVF as it really is our only option in town near to us and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. We started IVF treatment and could and and would not get any returned calls regarding questions and treatment until I threated to cancel my IVF cycle over it. We would have to call and mark the messages as high priority over three days in a row with both me and my husband to get call backs even though I was in the middle of an IVF cycle and needed call backs with questions. The bottom line is this office has no customer service and make an extremely difficult issue such as infertility even worse. They may be able to help you get pregnant but they are a nightmare to deal with. They understand medicine but not communication, customer service or human interaction. They were to my work and home which is why we used them as I have limited time off work. Just be pre-pared for this if you decide to use them.

I hac 2 failed IUIs znd 1 failed IVF treatment. I was under Dr Browns care for 3 years since he performed my robotic myomectomy (uterine fibroid surgery). I was highly disappointed bc I felt like a number. Everyone is put on the same cycle and youare sharing a room with two other couples separated by a curtain. No privacy what so ever. You are never told that your experience will be this way so it took me by surprise. We were out of money not sure what our next plan was and God sent us a miracle. We changed Drs and now we are expecting our first child. The new office/Dr was amazing and we felt lime we were their only patient.

Dr. Brown and his staff have always treated me with compassion and courtesy. Emily is wonderful and Jenna the nurse manager is an angel! No matter what my concern, I always felt like they took the time and really CARED. The staff has changed over recently for the better and I would recommend Dr Brown to anyone trying to conceive.

I LOVED my experience with Dr.Brown and his staff! I have PCOS and was never able to start a cycle by myself after just 3 rounds of using injections I became pregnant! I learned alot about infertility and the nurses where all very sweet! There is sometimes a bit of a wait but its not terrible maybe 10-15 minutes once they call you back. I only saw Dr Brown himself twice one for the patient consult and the 2nd for my pregnancy ultrasound. His staff took great care of me =)

We are extremely happy with Dr. Browns services. Had two unsuccessful IUIs, went to ivf and we were successful the first round. I did try another doctor in town for a second opinion before going on to ivf, who tried to make us a sign a document stating we would never publish anything negative about them, which I refused to sign. We left the other office unimpressed and to further make the experience terrible with other doctors office, they used up $1000 in our insurance benefits just for the consultation. I would highly recommend Dr. Brown to any couple trying to conceive. We started in February and successfully conceived by the end of October.

In the four months I spent as a patient with Brown Fertility I saw Dr. Brown twice. I saw my new dr. 3 times in two weeks! His office staff is terrible. They are always in a huge rush . The wait time is out of this world. FOUR hours is ridiculous! They never return phone calls. No communication . If you're thinking of doing IVF I would encourage you to research the difference between "batch" cycles and more personalized cycles. Brown fertility does batch cycles, there are other offices in town that offer IVF start dates once a week. The office appears to be so disorganized in everything they do. If you can't get daily operations in your office right, why would I trust you with my embryos? I almost did my first cycle of IVF with Dr. Brown and I am SO glad I got a second opinion first. Ultimately the diagnosis was the same but the experience with my new office staff has been like day and night! I had my egg retrieval this past week and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience.

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 7 years and the first day we met with Dr. Brown he said, "you will get pregnant". And he was right, we are now expecting twins and we are sooooo excited. For all the woman out there who think you'll never get pregnant, I was in your shoes. Just hang on to the hope just a little bit longer, it will happen. Good luck to all of you.

We were treated like cattle and had to fight to get any kind of communication from his office. We did two cycles of IVF that failed. My issue isnt with the fact that the IVF did not work, its with the fact that my husband's sperm should should HAVE NEVER BEEN USED TO FERTILIZE my eggs. Upon discussion with my regular OB/GYN she explained that DR.Brown should have put my husband on medication,Clomid, to improve the quality of the sperm. If the quality of the sperm is poor then the fertilized egg is poor and even though we had more fertilized eggs frozen,she said it would be a waste of time, money and stress to try IVF with those eggs. I have spoken with other couples who have used DR.Browns office with similar experiences.

My husband and I started this process in January 2014. IVF failed May 2014 and I didn't even received a call from any of the nurses to advise me. Dr. Cabrera had called me at 7:15pm to apologize for the failed IVF. Needless to say that I was lost of words from the shock of his words and he paused and ask "Did you not get a phone call from Jenna" and I responded NO. Since May 19th, I have tried unsuccessfully of getting a return phone call from anyone until Sara called and told her that I am going to another clinic. At which point, Rachel contacted me and apologized for the staff; however, that does not stop them from answering my emails, my questions or returning phone calls. Dr. Brown was very friendly during the procedure and Dr. Cabrera is very honest. But a change of staff is needed to done, because I am left with the feeling that it is all about how much money they can charge their patients like myself who is wanting to go through the end of time to conceive a child. Heartbroken.

Dr. Brown and Emily (his NP) are awesome...the office staff is polite & friendly, but can be somewhat inept.
