If you have a life...do not GO there!! Two hour wait, last time wait over an hour, (excuse is time for other patients,) no call back when a lump was found on my mamo, I could go on but his looking for new patients WAY TOO ridiculous for me!!
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES SEE THIS DOCTOR. I gave this doctor another chance after he mis-diagnosed my back problem as a vascular problem. I eventually had back surgery. Today, I called for an appt & they said "can you come in at 1pm"? I said sure, I'm on my way. Arrived at 1pm, & didn't see the doctor until one hour later! No explanation from front desk, no approximate time for doctor to see me, nothing. Doctor Mintz starts to dictate to me that it was a last minute booking, while it was their office who suggested the time slot. I didn't force them to book me when it was obvious they were unable to take care of the patients they have. The doctor then refuses to listen to a word I had to say & at that point I left. This doctor & his staff treats people like their time is worthless. All they had to do is say "I'm sorry, but we are too busy for you today" Instead they want my office visit payment knowing they are unable to provide service. This garbage treatment of patients HAS TO STOP!!
I saw Dr Mintz because of chronic breathing problems due to a cough/cold. I left a message for appt, but needed to call several times before getting an appt.. Long wait in office despite having to walk outside with a coughing fit. Upon seeing Dr Mintz on a Monday he prescribed 3 medications in which I asked him to call my local pharmacy. He assured me he submitted it, but actually he sent it to a mail order co. I finally realized what I had happened and called Dr. Mintz’s office……left message……no call back. Still having difficulty breathing, I went to the office and explained the situation.,receptionist seemed annoyed that she had to bother the Dr. Finally able to talk to someone the next day, I was able to pick up one of the prescriptions on Wed. The second prescription was filled on Sat. The third was never called in. After 3 weeks of difficulty breathing, sleepless nights and lethargy, I went to an emergency clinic. The new dr put through my prescription immediately. Beginning of recovery started the following day. I would never recommend Dr Mintz.
STOP! You need to read this before making an appointment with Dr. Bruce Mintz. I was referred to Dr Mintz by another physician, that he would be able to help me with my condition. On Monday Aug17, 2020, I had a consultation with him, he seemed very concerned and listen to my problem. He sent me directly for blood tests and told me to call him in two days Wed, 8/19/20. I felt very comfortable upon leaving his office that he would be able to help me with my condition. Boy was I wrong! I called on Wed and was told he would call me back later in the day. After no call back on Wed, I called again on Thursday, 8/20/20 left a message and again, no call back. On Friday 8/21, I finally received a call fro his office and they said they scheduled a virtual call this afternoon. Again, he never called. On Saturday, 8/21/20, I drove to the Lab and obtained a copy of my blood tests and made an appointment with another doctor. On Friday 8/28/20, I met with another doctor and went through another exam. After seeing the tests results of those blood tests and the previous ones that Dr. Mintz had obviously still has not read to this date, I was admitted immediately into the emergency room. I was in the hospital for 3 days on intravenous to get my blood levels back to somewhat normal state. The physicians that I spoke with these past 3 days were shocked and appalled by how Dr. Mintz had total disregard for a patient. I called Dr. Mintz again on Monday 8/31/20, talked to the head nurse and explained to her that he owed me a call back after 14 days. She said we can schedule a virtual call for this afternoon. I told her he never called me for the last virtual call. She seemed taken back and asked me if I wanted an office visit. I told her that ship has sailed and I want to talk with him on the phone. Finally, I received a call back at 7:45 at night, where he was apologetic for not calling me back. However, he had no clue why I kept calling, like a deer in headlights. He dais he only got a message to call me once, yet I called 4 times. So he threw his staff under the bus!. When I explained to him this whole ordeal, he was clueless. He was fumbling for words and did not know what to say. He even admitted that he still had not read my blood test results after two weeks. If Dr. Mintz would have done his job and read the blood tests, I would have been in the hospital the week before. He has no professional courtesy. Instead of seeing how many people he can pack in his office, he should focus on the QUALITY of CARE that he DOSEN'T give to them. There are plenty of doctors out there who take their profession seriously. He is not one f them. Please do not make the same mistake I did.
Dr. Mintz has always been amazingly helpful and provided accurate treatment for the things for which I saw him. I highly recommend.
I became a patient of Dr. Mintz about a year ago. I have a complicated health history and have found him to be extremely knowledgeable . He has always been compassionate and taken the time to listen to me. Medicine is different today, we sometimes have to wait longer than seems reasonable. The wait has always been just that, reasonable. On a personal level, he is a good human. During a time of loss in my family, he responded quickly and even reached out over a weekend to make sure we were okay. In my book, this is a very good human who happens to be a very good doctor. Staff is excellent as well.
He made a costly billing mistake and refuses to do anything to fix it. Not a fan.
I guess he was the Dr. on call at the meat factory,I mean hospital. Diagnosed my blood clot as Thurasic Outlet Syndrome. I should have know immediately when I heard the word syndrome. Hooked me up with the surgeon in the office next door. Go figure. Told me it was necessary to operate. First rib resection. After preop and scheduling I call the meat factory the day before as instructed. I was not on the schedule. I tried to contact the Dr and he would not return my calls. I walked into his office the next morning and explained the situation. I asked him for another surgeon, for my necessary operation, because I didn't want to die. I was told that if I didn't use his surgeon I would have to find another primary physician. Needless to say I did. 8 years later no operation. No reoccurrence. Perfectly fine. It was all about money. I was also told it was a high risk operation, with a higher than average mortality rate. If you hear this Drs name run and don't look back.
I will never recommend him to anyone, I waited for over an hour. I was finally called in and waited 45 minutes in the examining room. He finally arrives, sits on his chair and proceeds to log everything onto his laptop. He did take the time to ask me why I was there. I will never again lose 3 hours of daylight because of him
I used Dr mintz for my GP for about a year and had a multitude of bad experiences. He Cancelled appointments, he had me come in for appointments I didn't need, he gave me medical advice more than once that was very questionable, he doesn't return phone calls and has a nurse deliver all medial info, the staff is rude (particularly the receptionists), I had billing issues, and he had an arrogant bedside manner that I found dislike able AND the wait time is always long. Bad experience all around and very happy that I switched .
