The longest appointment I had with him was 15 minutes. I saw him about 25 times. This lack of time is really wrong and dangerous for a psychiatric patient. He overlooks his patients and doesn't analyze them in depth to see how the patients are reacting to the medication. A simple "how is the medication effecting you?" Is not adequate for seeing how a patient of 16 years old is doing. If he really cares about his patients, he doesn't have enough time to show it. His practice is overbooked and therefor he is unable to adequately treat his patients. I left his practice a few months ago and found a MUCH better one who actually spends time with me and shows interest.

My experience with Dr. Figman and his staff has been nothing but very helpful, caring, knowledgeable people. The doctor himself has gone out of his way to help me with certain things. I would recommend this group to anyone in need of these services.

Loved him, thought he was an excellent psychiatrist! Other than waiting a long time for my appoitment and having to call in and deal with some un-educated staff, he promptly addressed my concerns and medication issues at my appointment!

Prescribed meds & I'd like to say asked questions later, but he never really asked. Spent about 15 minutes w/ me during visits, but charged my insurance company for a 45 minute vistit. When I left messages for him to contact me, I never heard from him, no voicemail, I had to rely on a receptionist who was less than helpful to give him a written message. Bed side manner was to say the least lacking. Never received reminder phone calls for appointments. My wait time was generally around 45-55 minutes.

pill pusher. Doesn't bother to double check patient's background. Writes perscriptions on the fly. STAY AWAY!!! THIS DR SHOULD HAVE HIS LICENSE REVOKED!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Figman is a rare thing: He's a consummate professional. He understands the needs of his psychopharmacological patients better than most Boston professionals.

At times only meets with me for a few minutes. Has charged me for missed visit seven though I'm often kept waiting.Seems self-impressed, although his recommendations have usually been helpful.

Dr. Figman has been unfailing kind and respectful to me. He has always listened carefully and addressed all my concerns.

Dr Figman is very quick to just hand out medicine. His solution to everything is just "take this it will work or just up your dose" he has no concern for the patient as he just wants you to come back and see him.

We see Dr. Figman for medication and a psychologist for therapy sessions. Dr. Figman is efficient and to the point. He knows his stuff!
