I had a negative experience. He cancelled at the last minute, them when I rescheduled, he was over an hour late. He read my patient record, nor asked questions or listened when I gave info about my background. He deemed my issue "non-gynecological" almost immediately, but them insisted I have a physical exam, ultra-sound and bloodwork done immediately (I had my annual exam just months ago, and had several ultra-sounds). He suggested medication which I have had negative reaction to in this past, he should have listened when I mentioned this several times to him already. The best was before I had my blood drawn, the woman drawing my blood yelled out, "I feel I am going to throw up." What a nightmare!

Excellent physician, highly recommend. He listens and cares about his patients.

Dr. Coven has no bedside manner. Very straight to the point. When you have a problem, they make you call a machine instead of speaking to a human to find out more information. Always put on hold when I call office, parking lot is a disaster area and dangerous. Go elsewhere.

Dr. Coven delivered my daughter, as well as two of my in-laws. In fact they were his first set of twins he ever delivered 24 years ago!! He is wonderfully patient, caring, and easy-going. I'm truly shocked by the negative reviews, because I for one, would not go to any other doctor but Dr. Coven because he is the best. I should mention his colleagues are terrific as well. Dr. Coven and the practice he belongs to have been nothing but the best to me any my entire family. I look forward to every visit with them!

DO NOT GO TO THIS PRACTICE! I went here for my first pregnancy and they completely missed a congenital defect that my baby had. Most practices send their patients to Maternal Fetal Medicine for ultrasounds, but they do theirs in the office so they can get the $ for it, and their machine is not good enough to do them so they did not see a major issue with my baby. As a first time pregnant patient I did not know to ask to go to MFM. They have way too many doctors, you see a different person each time so no one gets to know you or your situation - it's completley impersonal. It is like an OB factory there - DO NOT GO. On top of that they are always around an hour behind schedule. Please ladies, do yourselves a favor and go somewhere that will have YOUR best interests in mind, not their own. Your babies and your health depend on it!

I was new to the area and got a referral for Dr. Coven from a co-worker. I wasn't sure what he was like when she went to go see him, but to me he was awful. First visit (and I am a first time expectant mother) he rushed me through it as if I had been there 100 times before. Second visit I brought my husband, because I thought i was being hypersensitive because I was pregnant, and my husband didn't like him either. Thought he had poor bedside manners and seemed annoyed that we were asking alot of questions. I switched doctors.

I have been a patient of Dr. Coven's for 20 years. I think he is the greatest! He delivered my 2 children and over the years, has always been kind, patient and responsive to my every need. His busy office is a testament to the great treatment provided. I would and have trusted him with my life and the life of my children.

I was very anxious going to Dr. Coven, as I was an abuse victim and it was my first visit. I didn't like the idea of a male doctor, but he was the only one available. I found Dr. Coven to be the most receptive doctor I've ever seen. He talked me through the exam and helped me relax. I felt no pain or discomfort with the exam, and I was comfortable the entire time. All in all, I will definitely go back to Dr. Coven for any problems as well as yearly exams, and will happily recommend my friends to him.

Very abrupt. I could not relax for the exam. Then he just jammed his fingers into another part of my anatomy to get it done and it really hurt. Very abrupt, rude and did not return my phones or call me on my blood work for two weeks. I finally gave up trying to get him to call me back and had to change to another doctor. I would not recommend him. I have a fibriod the size of a cantelope and he ignored my calls. He is very arrogant and rude.
