Approximately 25 years ago I was suffering from macular degeneration at the early age of 50. Dr. Erasmus performed surgery which required thirty days of bed rest face down on my bed to allow the healing in my eye to be effective. Those were difficult days to endure but it worked a miracle and the blurring was gone! I am so indebted to Dr. Erasmus for his skill! When I mentioned Dr. Erasmus to my current eye doctor he lamented the fact that "when he moved to B.C. Saskatchewan lost an incredible talent! We miss him!"

Cannot recommend Dr. Erasmus highly enough. Been looking after a seriously damaged eyes due to another ophthalmologist's (Not from BC) errors. Takes time, explains everything, communicates well and is more importantly caring. he has been caring for me steadily for over 6 years and I thank him sincerely for that!

Dr. Erasmus is a thoughtful, courteous professional. He is at the top of his game in every way and it was an absolute pleasure to meet him. His staff are a delight. Efficient, caring and eager to help in any way. The offices are clean, modern and nicely decorated with what I am sure is the Doctor's favourite wildlife renderings from his native South Africa. Dr. Erasmus and his staff have no peer.

Did not go over any details. performed devastating laser shots to my left eye retina that was not needed (as per other specialists in the field) resulting in the loss of the remaining 70% of my eye sight.

I can highly recommend Dr. Erasmus and his team. It was during peak Covid 19 time and the proper protocols were in place. When I met Dr. Erasmus for the first time for a pre-operative exam, he immediately made me feel at ease with his kind, calm and professional manner. I knew I had made the right choice. He answered all my questions. During the surgery he explained what he was doing which made me feel more relaxed. The operation was for Macular Hole repair and it turned out well.
