I had a TURP procedure done by Dr. Quarles. I was very worried because of all of the things I have heard that could go wrong and has gone wrong with other doctors. I discussed this with Dr. Quarles and he stated that what I was saying shouldn't happen. Surgery was about an hour long, spent the night in the hospital, catheter was removed around noon the next day (that was the most pain that I had felt). By 1:30, I was leaving the hospital. I only had to get up one time during the night with no problem. Still a little blood, but I am very thankful for Dr. Quarles' knowledge, skill and ability to do what he does. Thank you....

As a student who has rotated through this practice, I can tell you Dr. Quarles is one of the nicest, knowlegdeable MDs you will come across. As a student, It is rare that you find a MD that will be nice enough to explain things and teach you, forget smile the whole time. He also works very hard to make sure that his patients get seen in a timely matter and that their needs and concerns are met. I'd choose him to see if I personally needed a urologist, and I'd work with him again any time.
