Dr. Feigon is extremely helpful. She is the first therapist/psychologist I've met who has helped me with my depression & OCD. I came to her in a very bad place & she helped me beyond belief. Highly recommend.

I've found my therapy sessions with Dr. Feigon to be extremely helpful over the course of the last 6 months. She challenges my thought process and provides me with "homework" to continue working on issues outside of our sessions. Rather than just paying someone to listen to me vent, I'm enlisting a professional to help me start addressing issues before they become unmanageable.

This woman has her own issues she brings into therapy. In my opinion she should not be a psychologist. More harm than good can be done, and in my case, was. I am worse off after over a year of seeing her. Not recommended.

Sarah A. Feigon's response

I can't say what prompted this review. In response, I will only say that therapy can sometimes give rise to strong feelings toward the therapist. Often these feelings are positive, but sometimes they are very negative. Although sometimes these feelings are natural reactions to therapist behavior, often they have to do with previous experiences with people on whom the client has depended, especially parents. Most of the time, strong feelings toward the therapist can be discussed in a productive way. Occasionally, they cannot. If this happens, you are wise to seek a second opinion or even take a break from therapy altogether. Moreover, not every therapist is right for every client. I would never aspire to be all things to all people, although I am well suited for the work I do. When it is reasonably clear to me that I am not the right person to work with a client, I am always more than happy to help them find a different therapist.
