Ratings for Dr. C.B Jamieson
Run as far away as fast as you can. Took more than two years to finally get a surgery date scheduled, let alone completed. Really don't think he gives a damn anymore. Ended up with a horrible infection after the surgery. A nightmare.
Diagnosed with prostate cancer at 45 - agressive. Procedure went wrong in every way and after the last of many surgeries to try and correct it, he told me "if this one goes wrong you will have to find another docter as I am going on a cruise" and he walked out of my hospital room. Within days I developed a fever, discharged from hospital and returned a week later near death. Was sent to Edmonton to see another specialist and had 10 more surgeries to try and correct the first and am still more to come.
This doctor nearly killed my mother, father and uncle in the past 5 years - he missed a 5cm tumor in my dad's bladder and he and my uncle almost bled to death because of the way Dr.J reamed their prostates and he botched up a bladder repair on my mother and permanently damaged her urethra....you were a good doctor once, but I think it's time to retire before you kill a patient!!!
excellent diagnotician and surgeon, his bedside/office manner (after the problem is resolved) is abrupt, as if he's ready for the next challenge, you are now "in the past". For knowledge and expertise, especially when just have been diagnosed with prostate cancer he's excellent.
My father went in for a basic procedure to remove stone from his bladder and kidney. He only removed the bladder stones and said there were complications with the kidney. He was supposed to go back and remove the kidney stone, and was getting ready to take my father to the OR, when my father had lost soo much blood from the previous surgery, then it caused some minor heart problems. Similar to a minor heart attack as his blood level was extremely low and there was not enough oxygen and the heart tissue died. No explanation on the delay for a transfusion, and now my father is too weak for the kidney procedure. This doctor was ready to take my father in for the second procedure where he would have died. My father is still bleeding from the first procedure and it has been four days. I wouldn't trust this doctor watering my garden. I'm going to contact his GP to arrange for a new surgeon.
My problem was potentially very embarassing, so I didn't think I'd be comfortable discussing it, or having an exam, but Dr. J dispelled all my misgivings. He was calm, professional and reassuring and, when he told me I had a choice of an operation or medication, he was really clear about all the alternatives, and didn't try to pressure me into going one way or the other. I've since undergone a procedure to fix the problem, and it was a 100% success. I'm really grateful that I had this doctor. He did a terrific job!
As an IC patient Dr. Jamieson is the best in Prince George. Being one of the youngest IC patient in the North it was different to find a doctor that understands the disease. Dr. Jamieson had me in surgery after 1 week of first meeting him. I have been going to him since I was 20 yrs old. NOw being 31, he is still helping me, and controlling the disease.
had this dr do my vasectomy ,went into his office for the procedure and being alittle nervous I asked him if he did lots of these, his reply was shocking to say the least as my pants were down around my ankles and a needle in his hand going where no needle should go he said aww I do two of these aday because their so easy i don't have to think which I replyed well Please do!!.three months later i had developed a pea sized painful lump on each testicle ,back i go he says that the titanium clips where put on to tight and now afew sperm have leaked out and these lumps will have to be removed in the hospital thus knocking me out for the operation which to this day three years later I'm STILL waiting for,His secretary told me last Sept that by Xmas for sure this is july and yes the lumps are still there and still hurt but not enough to warrant a surgery date.
Very sloppy procedures. During surgery while inserting a mushroom he pushed the mushroom through the kidney and into my colon... thus putting my life in jeopardy. Have heard of similar situations where the same thing occured with this doctor. I would not recommend him to anyone.
