26/10/13 3 3 1 2 I saw Dr. Foomani last year since he offers a discount to local university and college students, and it was an entirely unprofessional and uncomfortable experience. Dr. Foomani sat behind my head while I was laid back and used his legs to stabilize my head, which was extremely offputting for a 19 year old female alone in his office. It's apparent that Dr. Foomani has no care or knowledge for these sorts of basic considerations. He did everything he could to pressure me to book a filling, and when I told him that my godfather, a dentist in another city, would be performing any dental work past a basic checkup, he stopped haranguing me about the filling. When I did follow up with my godfather he assured me that a filling was unnecessary and that Dr. Foomani was likely trying to capitalize on an oppurtunity to profit. Will never return.

24/06/13 1 1 1 1 DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST!! I am a student in victoria at camosun college and this happens to be one of the dentists that covers the additional 20% of the fee so decided to go. Initially I was warned by a few hygienists that this guy is just a money grabber. Turned out completely true. To start with I called almost a week and a half in advance for an appointment and asked to have my xrays transferred to them because my usual place, DR. Gakhal on royal oak, is closed this week. I called again asked if they received them they said yes. I get there only to find out "its still in the process, they should be here in a few minutes". Impossible, Dr. Gakhal is closed! Foomani did only an inspection for 2 minutes, (even though I already know what I needed filled) and acted clueless. He totally said the wrong teeth I needed filled, ones that are completely fine. In addition at the end he is saying I owe a dental exam fee. Not happening. No dental assistant was present. The staff was his daughter.  Respond

28/03/13 5 5 5 5 I am angry at the negative comments below of this educated, kind dentist. theres always a few lemons in a basket of produce, moreover these people who sling mud at Dr Mansur Foomani are most likely sandwich technicians at subway...This gentle Doctor went to university for years in a communist country so you could have a great smile and a healthy life!!! shame on you people for your petty whining about your visit..50% of dentistry is the patient, and if your bitter off the get go. This kind Dr is not a miracle worker. So get over it,suck it up sunshine...or better yet you go get your PHD in dentistry and see how life treats you!!!!! I am 100% confident in Dr Foomanis COMPETENCE...DONT LISTEN TO THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS FROM NASTY PEOPLE AS ITS NOT TRUE..SINCERELY MR AL RAMSAY VICTORIA BC

15/11/12 4 5 5 5 I like the fact that his work is excellent and he also does not use silver fillings. He uses white fillings and a sealer.

14/10/12 5 5 5 5 Have been seeing Dr. Foomani since 1998 and he has always been super helpful - has done many extras for little to nothing charged - never any pain or mistakes. Would highly recommend him - as a matter of fact have been travelling from Vancouver so that he can remain my dentist. Love, love love him

14/11/11 4 5 3 2 He could not do my two root canals, so he sent me to a specialist and then back to him to fill them. It cost me twice what a dentist who can do root canals them selves would have cost.  Respond

30/07/09 4 4 1 1 My husband and I both saw Dr Foomani and both had horrible experiences with him... his manner was rough and his work was sloppy to the point of injuring me and required both of us to have his work repaired by another dentist. We were both appalled that such a dentist would be permitted to practice.  Respond

27/05/09 5 5 5 5 Dr Foomani did an excellent job on two fillings. He was gentle and explained the procedure that he was going to perform. He took time to make sure I understood the problems with my two teeth and gave me an estimate of what all would cost. I am glad I had the work done by him. Afterward I called around to make sure that his fees were in line of other dentists in this area. His fees were more reasonable than the other 3 dentists I called. Also, the receptionist of these 3 dentists were abrupt and gave the impression that they were being inconvenienced by my questions. I will be using Dr. Foomani as my dentist and highly reccommend him for his gentleness and workmanship done at a reasonable cost.  Respond

20/03/09 5 4 5 5 I too had nothing but good experiences with dr foomani. He has a "least invasive measures technique". Ofcourse he can't be perfect and people loose teeth etc. Any dentist has that "problem" he can't cure everything. Also, different individuals have different opinions and it is easy for another dentist to say that they could have done something better than another dentist.  Respond

06/10/07 1 4 1 1 Dr Foomani misdiagnosed my sore tooth as a gum infection and put me on antibiotics. It turned out that my tooth was cracked (which he knew from a previous visit) and needed a root canal. I had asked him for a vibrancy test, which he didn't perform properly and assured me the tooth was alive. I ended up not getting insurance coverage for one of my bills; three times I phoned his assistant and she insisted she submitted the bill but the insurance company never received it. He's sweet and friendly but totally incompetent.

08/07/07 1 2 1 1 Simply put, this guy should not be practicing dentistry, period. I ended up losing a tooth that could have been saved by a root canal (which he isn't or wasn't licensed to perform, thank God for small mercies) but the point is, he didn't tell me it could be saved by another dentist. Then I, too, ended up on anti-biotics and while still infected was given the boot as my funds for the year were used up and I had to go to a doctor to clear up the infection. Don't go to him, you'll probably regret it if you do.  Respond

26/05/07 2 1 1 Don't ever get your teeth fixed by Foomani. He was supposed to clean my teeth and suggested I get a filling changed. When he put the filling in he put pressure on my tooth with his thumb - I almost fainted! I had a lot of pain - went back and he gave me an antibiotic - that was Friday. On the weekend I had so much pain I went to a clinic - had a root canal. Still hurt. Something as imbedded under the skin in my mouth. Had surgery and now have no feeling on the bottom left side of my mouth. This was Foomani's fault. He wouldn't address the situation and when I see him around I want to tell him off. I will live with this mistake my whole life. It has affected my way of talking and relating to people.  Respond
