Oh no… not again??? He and so many weirdos in this world are hiding under a veil of darkness prancing around like helpful souls.
To make a proper 2021 review, Dr. Fumani is....; not racist, is lgbtq supportive, and has an excellent bedside manner(staff included). this office does its best to maximize persons insurance allowance's, and they fully follow covid regulations. only one patient (plus spouse if requested) is present in the dentistry for comfort and privacy. I have high doubt that there is not a soul that Dr. Fumani and his staff wouldn't treat with the utmost empathy, respect and gentleness! i'am a lgtb woman, and my treatment has been perfect. :)
I had a delightful experience with this dentist and his staff. I'm not a young woman though. In these Me Too times it is 100% possible to be a good person and dentist and still have behaved inappropriately. The comment below, calling out BS is the same age as me. Women our age are not generally the target of innappropriate behavior. Unless you look like Sophia Loren still does, M. Stark, who is going to hit on you? I used to be really good looking but age related changes have made that status history. I have my share of Me Too which is on a spectrum. The story of the young woman who was kissed on the forehead by Dr. Foomani is reporting something on the milder end for sure but it's still not OK. I believe he is Persian and a Persian lady I know has spoken before about the men who are conflicted about women due to a combination of things.... Look up "ad hominem attack" if you want to... I had fantastic experience with this awesome team and I'm sure Dr. Foomani was enlightened about how his behavior in the past is not acceptable in Canada.
Just calling straight out bulls*** to the person, (and I use that term loosely), who mentioned almost reporting this good doctor to the school of dentistry while schooling in victoria. That is a complete dump of crud coming out of your mouth. I've never had a better dentist in all my nearly 60 years. Not once have I felt the needle when he's giving me one. What dentist would say to have all six cavities done in one sitting? You're lying right there, for instance. If you want your teeth to be taken care of, Dr. Foomani is the best! His staff are as wonderful as he is. Very much worth five stars across the board. People who rate and don't leave a name due to the lack of a backbone have no say else it's just heresy. Sincerely, M. Stark
I saw Dr Foomani a number of years back when I attended a year of schooling in Victoria and nearly reported him to the College of Dental Surgeons, but didn't because they require that you first bring your complaint to the dentist and I was too traumatized to interact with Dr Foomani in any way again. I hadn't seen a dentist in several years when I saw him and had always had very good relationships with previous dentist so I was overly trusting when I saw him. The condition of the office should have tipped me off as it did for other reviewers here, but unfortunately I went ahead with treatment. He told me I had 6 cavities, which was surprising and moreso that he wanted to fill them all at a single visit. The procedure was long and uncomfortable and my mouth did not feel right afterwards. There was too much redness and pain in my gums when the anesthetic began wearing off so I immediately began doing salt water rinses, but all the same woke up the next morning with obvious infections at two bright red injection sites in my gums. I spent my last few weeks of classes in a lot of discomfort while antibiotics slowly fixed my ravaged mouth. On top of that, the fillings were done in such a way that my molars weren't biting correctly and upon returning to the mainland I had to have a real dentist grind them down and contour them so that I could once again chew correctly. If that all weren't enough, at the end of the procedure, when I was all dopey from having 6 molars drilled out he used that vulnerable moment to try to get me to schedule another appointment to fill one last cavity which he said I (conveniently) had just enough left on my student insurance to cover the cost of. I obviously didn't go and many years later of having regular checkups with qualified dentists that tooth magically has never turned out to have a cavity. I'm fairly certain that some, if not all of the 6 teeth he filled didn't have cavities either and he just saw an opportunity to take advantage of a trusting, young lady and make an easy buck destroying perfectly healthy teeth.
I had a good experience with this dentist. He has a gentle touch; usually my gums need numbing for cleaning.
I can speak to both his goodness and his possible female advances. From say 1996 to 2013, I have known this man. I’m sad to see the reviews here to know he’s been possibly inappropriate with females. I won’t share my own experience although I can see how ‘fails’ occurred on his part. He’s gentle, caring, conscientious & kind. Dr. Mansour Foomani.

I have been going to Dr Foomani for a few years now! I honestly think he is the best dentist I have ever been to! he is extremely affordable and considerate! I wouldn't listen to any of these other comments! WHINY PEOPLE!
Everything seemed really off from the moment I walked into his office on fort St. The office was super run down and the dental equipment was extremely old and concerning. The x-ray machine was a relic and probably shouldn't be in service. He reminded me of the doctor from human centipede. Anyways, my dental visits are few and far between and I have never had a cavity in the 28 years I've been kicking a$$ and taking names. Doc tells me I have 7. Seven! I go from 0 to 7 in a year and a half. He shows me some cr@p off his x ray saying they are all cavities. Needless to say I wasn't going to let him drill into my teeth without at the very least a second opinion. So a year and a half later I end up at a different dental office for a cleaning. Very modern equipment, massaging chairs. It was unreal. Doc says I have 0 cavities and to start flossing more. nobody should ever go to this dude and he shouldn't be a doctor.
