After high recommendations from the Vice President of High Point Regional Hospital where I work, I visited Dr. Hicks for a complete physical and blood work. It took 5 weeks to get a new patient physical appointment, but since it had been 2 years since my last one I didn’t mind. When I finally got in I was amazed by the amount of time Dr. Hicks spent with me. She took a complete medical and family history. She answered every single one of my questions, and as a side note told me how to cut my big toe nail so it will stop getting ingrown! She spent about 30 minutes with me. I don’t think I have had 30 minutes of a doctor’s undivided attention in my life! BTW, her nurse, Shea, was wonderful as well. She held my hand while the phlebotomist took my blood since I am afraid of needles. Everyone in that office went above and beyond my expectations. Dr. Hicks will be my doctor as long as I remain in High Point. I just can’t say enough about her. She is one of the good ones.
