Worst experience of my life. After a failed cycle, I finally completed a cycle with 2 day 5 embryos. The day after my embryo transfer, I received an email notifying me of a refund of the embryo storage fee. This alarmed me because at the time to our knowledge, my husband and I still had an embryo left over. They even called out during the transfer “transferring embryo 1 of 2!” After receiving an email notifying me of the refund, I immediately called the nursing team and left an unanswered message as well as sent out an email requesting clarification to the billings department. We were not getting any answers, so my husband went to Trio that same day and confirmed with an employee from the cryo-storage area that we still had an embryo in the transfer lab that hadn’t been sent down to be frozen yet. She said this typically happens at end of day 6 and as it was day 6, it was maybe likely coming down shortly. She assured my husband we will get a call to notify us of the embryo being stored and that they would likely to cancel the refund. After a weekend of anxiety, heart break and false hope, we finally recieved a call from the lab department to confirm our worst fears that our embryo had in fact arrested on day 5 (prior to the lie that our embryo was safe in the lab waiting to be frozen). We are now almost 2 weeks later trying to obtain our health care records that they will not release to us. I would not wish this experience on anyone and if you have any other option for fertility treatment please take it and do not risk your dreams being shattered like ours were from this corrupt clinic. I honestly wouldn’t doubt if they simply discarded it due to all of the red tape and apologetic phone calls we have received after this incident.
